  1. Yes Please.I have loads of great memories of Thorpe Park, 2006 especially with my friends - some of the best days out really. But for me the magical days were in 2002. Tidal Wave was perfect. Colossus (my first rollercoaster) was perfect. Rumba Rapids when it first open was pretty good aswell. The Park had so much beauty and I just remember being sucked into it and I was able to escape into soming unique for a couple of hours.

It wouldnt matter, the rollercoaster would have had to have been 500ft to warrent even an aircraft warning light - so in terms of airports they could build higher than that. Look at Canery Warf - and thats practically next to London City Airport.

Its more unfortunate than ironic. Alas, the woes of a Fanboy...

I think the height ceiling is 400ft. But they won't build higher than stealth because they wouldn't wanna make stealth look small as its their Icon Coaster. Also I dont think, because Thorpe Park is based on reclaimed land that they can build big enough footers to hold any higher (although thats only a guess) not to mention the locals. and I doubt they can be bothered really tbh.
  6. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!What you have done is like the equivilant of 3 pieces of coursework! I have 4 months left and I have only done one! I have soo failed. =[
  7. I'm only posting my Stealth one because I look like I have the plague in my other on-ride photos. I also can't be bothered to take them off my wall and scan it!EDIT: I do have friends I swear. there were three of us. I had to go by myself. front row. first ever intamin rocket. I was s**tting myself. came off in hysterics. Just thought I would clear that up

Personally I dont think the trains will be sold off, maybe put into storage. I think they have some plans for the Farm, but the option are limited due to the residential area behind thorpe. Could be used for a water park? or maybe a secondary hotel if the first one is a big success.Correct me if I am wrong, but I dont think there is any official confirmation that the Farm/ Trains are leaving so maybe it will just be closed for 2007-08 whilst they do what they are doing with the coaster.

I remeber parts of this ride quite vividly, but towards it's latter years, I became abit complacent and didnt wanna act scared infront of my friends thus resulting in laughing at the animatronics and trying to pull rude gestures at the on-ride photo... I can now see the error in my ways.I only remember Wicked Witches Haunt but the memories are a bit all over the place. The entrance was moved to the side of the Phantom Phantasia building and it had a huge witch on the top pointing its finger at you (it might have cackled but I cant remember), and the exit was the old entrance to PP I think. I remember the cars, they were like black shell looking things (there is still a look a like car on the carosel like somone said earlier) and it went around a turn table like rumba. The cars turned to face different scenes and some of them actually made them jump (the traditional skeleton shaking a cage always got me). I remember a witch with a couldron and the spiraling around King Henry the 8ths table. At the time I didnt think much of the ride, but I would give anything to ride it again now. Looking back, it scared me as a child and was quite jumpy and creepy - and even if some of the anamtronics were abit tacky, it was still an enjoyable ride. Alas, it would probably be a 'Duel' type ride if it was still around today now (Duel 2: The Wiked Witch Stricks Back)... ruined and all its characted drained away. If I remember more I will post.I can't remember alot of the area behind it though (where the lift hill for Nemesis Inferno/ Rubish Bins are now. I remeber the bridge that bypassed Mr Monkeys' and over Tropical Travels into what is now Calypso Quay. I think there was a little court yard with a fountain - according to this map I have anyway.

^Well if there was a power loss, the ride would stop anyway and the attendants would have had to run around quickly and evacuate everyone immediatly. You'll be surprised at the amount of training that the attendants/ Ops get actually. (although a fire doesnt nessersarily mean there will be a powerloss)I remember seeing the news at my friends house, I was well shocked. There was a video taken of the aftermath of the fire taken from Tidal Wave on SP, and the result of the fire looked rather catastrophic... So its safe to say it won't be returning, as well as the fact that Detonator and Nemesis Inferno are now in that area. I do hope they build another dark 'scary themed' ride soon though... Its what thorpe lack imo.Click 'ere for the Topic on SP and this is the quote... (there is a bit of random X:/ No Way Out footage in the begining of the Video, just sit it out and you'll get onto the WWH bit)

Theres been alot of speculation as to whether it will or will not be re-themed to a haunted mine train, or whether it will have its trains turned around.I guess we do know that they will be spending some money on it, personally I won't get my hopes up to high, then maybe I will be happily surprised on open day. Other than that though, only time will tell.
  14. Small... haha. If only. Its bigger than Alton Towers by a long shot! but it is very cute. Great for the Kids.Apparently the Efteling is really fussy and want things done their way resulting in disputes with the manufactures, which is why I think they had to end up with a Kumbak Water Coaster Prototype as opposed to a tried and tested Mack Water Coaster, and things generally went down hill from there really. Asthetically its perfection though. My grandad went on the Bobbahn!EDIT: and to add to the maddness, I've just read that intamin have been hired to sort out the problems with the lift hill on Vliegende Hollander.

Word of advice, DONT work at Greenshaw... unless your immune to chairs being thrown at you. I love my school btw I am hopefully getting a Job at Topman soon, when I turn 16. They offered one so I just need to wait now.But for like when I am proper older wanna work at Thorpe. Do the kinda John Wardley type job, also a bit of marketing and that. 20. Another excellent park in Europe, although its mainly a family park, the amount of effort that goes into everything is awsome. They built a new water coaster in 2006 called 'Vliegende Hollander' (which traslates as 'The Flying Dutchman), but it kept valleying and had so many problems so it didnt actually open at all in 2006 and hopefully it will be open in 2007.Here are some photos from my visit this year.
  21. Can't believe there isnt a topic on this yet! *gasp*.Its pretty amazing there, if you ever get the chance to go, you would be physically insane to pass the chance up.
