  1. Lol, there goes the whole trying to make sure staff don't get in trouble. Haha.
  2. I'd be careful what you say James, you could get staff into trouble :PI don't think staff have ridden it yet, although I think people who were involved in making the advert have.
  3. There's something about those logos that make me want to eat them. They're great!
  4. I don't think I'm going to this. I know a few of us are going on the Monday, anybody is welcome to come tag aong.I do wish you lot the best of days though, I've got a good feeling about this season. And of course, I want to hear all your spoilers! Love them!
  5. ^ Lmao! After talking to someone, sounds like this ride isn't going to disappoint. Think immersive.
  6. Haha! I love how they're trying to encourage people to buy Annual Passes by adding small fees and then saying they can get their money back if they buy an AP.Brilliant!
  7. ^ Sounds cool.I doubt it's a plasma in that pic though, wouldn't last very long in our climate. Could be the angle of the pic I guess. I'm not denying that there's something there though.
  8. OH guys come on!People have been saying right from the start about the age restriction, and it's starting to get annoying. People have said pretty early on about the ride restrictions board probably reccomending that you should be 12 or older. So we find out, that was true. And people are still going on about it? Imagine the hassle for those poor staff members. It would be physically impossible to enforce all the time. And also bear in mind that it would be totally annoying for someone who'd left ID behind, or even the fact that they're expected to carry their ID to a theme park in the first place, where it can get lost.I appreciate the context the comments have been in, I'm sorry though, you get chavs everywhere, not just Thorpe Park, they're in the street, in the shops, probably living next door to you. I can't stand them either, and believe me, I nealy got myself into a fight last year (Skunky can vouch for me here) because I stood up for something that I thought was wrong. Don't let the barstewards get you down :)And I'd like to add about the age reccomendation of 12 thingy. The mazes also have the same age. And look how graphic and scary they are.
  9. I can make out "no smoking- those things will kill you," and "not reccomended for expectant mothers- the life inside of you is precious" (not too sure if that's the exact wording but it's too late/ early to worry about it too much, haha).
  10. I'm surprised nobody has brought this up, but this is the first log flume in the world that goes 10ft below the water level. So on the last drop, when you go into the tunnel thing, that's 10ft lower than the splash down.Amazing ride, although I prefer Bilge Rat Barges!
  11. Go look at some of the pics, save them, and then zoom in a bit. Squint and a touch of guess work, then you can read it
  12. Oh my actual God!This has got me well anxious now. I love the puns on the board.... 'No smoking, those things will kill ya.' Awesome! Such amazing attention to detail here. I'm actually sqealing! And I believe the sign about the actors says... "please be aware that there will be live actors in the queueline today. Anyone found physically or verbally abusing the actors may be escorted from the park."Ahhh I'm so stoked for this now.

LMAO Whiteknuckle- I love the 'shed' bit in your video =P
  14. You're quite the detective! I didn't notice that before, I think you could be right.
  15. First of all, I think it's great that there seems to be more touch- ups and things happening during closed season than there has in the past. Dunno whether it's due to Merlin's takeover, a bigger budget for it, or whatever, I don't know, but it's good and something that should be happening every year. It's great that the park seemed pretty clean on the 14th, something for the future, though, and not just Thorpe, I'd like to see it in all the parks. I'd like to see people going through queuelines during the day to ensure they don't become too dirty and covered in litter. Was something I used to do at Chessie, and yes it can be awkward trying to navigate around guests. But it's good because you talk to them and make sure everything's okay, as well as making it quicker at the end of the day to tidy the queueline.Entertainment wise, I know they've done something similar to this in 2007 (not too sure about last year), but I know during the summer they had some ents people dressed up in costume and had a "cowboy fight" type thing. It greatly alleviated some of the boredom in the Loggers queue and honestly it was one of the best things Thorpe has done. There needs to be mroe of this type of thing. Everybody in the queue was transfixed. And this is a prime example of why the Stealth DJ should return, that was also a fantastic idea. Bring that back. along with Stealth's amazing original sound system. There are others, but it's small steps. Small steps Thorpe!

In other news, Kelly Clarkson's new album kicks butt. Please go and support it by buying it on March 9th.Honestly it's an awesome album. I'll be shocked if Cry doesn't get a Grammy nomination.
  17. Would you rather them keep it plain, blue, corrogated iron? Lol.Looking back at the plans, how did we not figure it out that it was going to be based around the Saw films? There were clues everywhere!
  18. Sheepie replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
Yeah I heard about the waterproofing. Although water can still get into the sensors and stuff very easily. There's about a 3-4 second delay on the water fountains. They take ages to do what you want them to do. So if you're not concentrating you can easily not get the timing right and feck it up.

In what ways weren't you impressed Ashley?
  20. Sheepie replied to Perks's topic in General Discussion
Hah!To be fair the same could be said about any theme park. Marc is right in the sense that just because the engineers aren't visible, it doesn't mean that they aren't working on it. There may be very little they can do until a part arrives or whatever.
  21. Bubbly, if that's you in your avatar, you're absolutely drop, dead gorgeous! But yes welcome to the forum!
  22. The inside of this attraction is going to be pretty immersive* guys, don't worry.*Immersive by Thorpe Park standards.
  23. May I just add that Professor X is hot *Runs**ETA- Holly also agrees!
  24. Sheepie replied to Dan_Rush's topic in The Real World
Well clearly a lot of people care, otherwise we wouldn't be talking about how it's everywhere. It wouldn't be talked about on TV shows, it would just fizzle out.

Dude, wtf?Like Alex said, she's all over the media because she's been there ever since BB back in 2002. And I'm not taking anything away from your family's situation with your mum, I really sorry to hear that, but she's not in the public eye. It doesn't make it any worse because Jade is in the public eye, but if you were a newspaper you'd write about someone who a lot of people know.To suggest that any of the McCann's are famous is outrageous, they're not celebrities, it just so happens that the sort of thing they went through isn't as common, and obviously was a huge ordeal for everyone, which was why the media talked about it so much. Good for them for keeping awareness up. Same goes for Jade, she's using her celebrity status for something good, for once, she's providing for her children's future, as well as raising awareness, she's saving lives in the long run.
