  1. But people don't choose to fancy someone...it happens.I used to have a massive crush on David Tennant I didn't think "Oh no, I can't have a crush on him cos I don't know him!" I think people are misunderstanding the thread. Or have never had a celeb crush or something. Although it can happen with non celebs too. When I was in Year 11 I had a big crush on a boy in my year but wasn't in any of my lessons, I didn't know him, but I still fancied him. Surely people here must relate? So it's nothing to do with them being celebs...it's just because someone finds them attractive.
  2. I agree with Will and I don't get how people don't...surely people here must have had a crush/fancy/think someone famous is hot etc. Especially as a lot of you here are in your teens...we've all had celebrity crushes!I wouldn't go out with someone if I didn't know them...so you can't judge a celeb or their personality if you haven't met them...but you can be physically attracted to them. It's no different from seeing someone in real life and fancying them, before you even know them. The only difference is that celebs are on a screen etc. And no, I don't fancy any of them. Not Cheryl seeing as I'm straight, and Bieber...well...he looks like a girl tbh :PEDIT: What Dan said - if fancying someone is just being attracted to them and not actually wanting to go out with them. That's what this thread is meaning, not would you go out with them.

"I wish you a hopeful Christmas.I wish you a brave new year. All anguish, pain and sadness Leave your heart and let your road be clear." Love those lyrics, from Greg Lake's "I believe in Father Christmas". Happy Christmas Eve peeps!

Went for a family Christms time meal thing today with my dad and his side if the family. Had a lovely dinner, smoked paprika chicken breast with chips and salad, then a gorgeous but filling chocolate fudge sundae thing.

Hoorah! They found Rita! I lol'd when she said to them "Help yourself to some toffees" :)As I said I don't really watch Corrie (it's all about Enders!) but this week has been very good!

Bye bye Molly!I thought the live ep tonight went very well, no fluff ups like in the Enders one with Jack And Ronnie not paying for her items in the shop!

Yep, Sunday was a great day with some great laughs Haven't got round to uploading pics yet but hopefully will do it tonight! I have one of one of the elves at Madame Tussauds, next to the Christmas tree by the lifts :)It's a shame I had to dash off at the end but the time just went and I had to gety train. Maybe next time we should plan the meal or stick to the original plan of Frankie and Bennys I have to admit, I wasn't overly impressed with the food at Planet Hollywood, they've changed since I last went and it's not as nice. And I don't just mean how long it took for my pizza to arrive, it just tasted...well not like restaurant food, more like cheap supermarket food and the bottom was burnt. But that aside it was a great day! I love London at Christmas!

Wow! Corrie was pretty epic! And the whole storyline is carrying on all week, so there's more drama to look forward to!I think it may beat the Queen Vic fire in terms of how it was done, the build up etc. However, whoever dies, it won't be as sad/as much of a shame as Peggy leaving. And from what I've been reading on Digital Spy (yes I am so sad), the people apparently during aren't any of the major, well-loved ones. Well actually, the fourth hasn't been revealed

Dungeons was good today at the meet, and I like the idea of a 5D ride! :PThe Bloody Mary burning at the stake thing is a good addition, didn't even know about it until we came to that scene! Freaked me out a bit though :PSilly question but the person that they choose...how do they make them "disappear"? I know it sounds stupid but I'm inrigued to know! Does the actor quicky "release" them before the lights come back on or something?

Well my bus turned up and I'm at the station! Trains appear to be ok, except for the London Victoria train on the other platform turning up but still sitting there 5 minutes later :/ And the board says it's delayed. It shouldn't affect my train though as it's coming from a different line.Ooh now it's gone and my train is in the distance...it's getting nearer...it's arrived I'm on! WE'RE OFF As long as the Waterloo trains at Clapham are fine I should be on time!
  13. Mer replied to MikeyT's topic in TPM 2010 Meets
Ok I shall definitely attempt to be there tomorrow. According to the Southern website the trains are operating normally tomorrow but I'm still worried about delays. Same for the bus to the station. If it turns up, yay, if not, then I won't be there. A taxi to the station would cost too much and my mum is still ill so I can't ask her.But hopefully I'll make it :PMadame Tussauds taxi ride!!

I am still unsure if I can even get there, plus the fact that it's on a Sunday, where transport is already pants! So I'm really stuck deciding what to do!

I know people want to move on but I wish to make a brief snow/travel comment :PI was a tad concerned on Tuesday when the snow was only just getting heavy, was about 3-4inches max, and the trains had pretty much stopped. Luckily there was a train to Gatwick I got and my mum picked me up. Yesterday and Wednesday was very deep snow so yeah, the trains are gonna be messed up and I'm not gonna complain cos it obviously isn't simple to clear it all. But when there is only a few inches and we've known for about a week it was coming...bit different But I do agree we shouldn't compare to other countries that always have snow. That is EXACTLY why they cope, because it's their climate. It's like saying "So many British people get sunburnt every summer but the people in Australia or Florida are always prepared!"But moving on to the meet...it may have stopped snowing but the temperature is very cold and probably won't increase enough for the snow to melt by Sunday. If anything it's starting to ice over, meaning it's still just as dangerous if not worse! And for me it isn't just the trains, it's getting to the train station. Haven't seen any buses round here (and cos we're in the village we've hardly had any gritting) so dunno if they're going to run. My mum is really ill with some nasty flu thing, no way is she going to be able to drive me to the station early in the morning. And it's over an hour walk, without snow and ice! Sounds pessimistic but I'm just being realistic

We have about 6-8 inches (15-20cm) here and apparently Kent and the south east are gonna get hit badly tonight!http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-11883982
  20. Mer replied to MikeyT's topic in TPM 2010 Meets
Ok well to add to my previous post...yes the snow has well and truly hit London and the south east! If it carries on I doubt any of us will be going to the meet!

*Is wrapped up all warm in bed, no college today* :PBut gonna go on a nice, wintery walk later. Just wish my wellies weren't in my locker at college! Blast!

I'm nice and full after my tuna pasta bake and blackcurrant pie with Cornish ice cream :PBut if you want something that's guaranteed to fill you up...5 big teaspoons of Nutella, around 400 calories of sickly yet yummy chocolatey-ness!
  23. Mer replied to MikeC's topic in Nonsense
Wow never knew this topic existed!Tonight we're having tuna pasta bake. One of my favourites! :DMy mum is a great cook And what I like is that we still eat traditional dinners like cottage pie, chicken casserole, cauliflower cheese etc yet modern things too. A lot of people I know just live off chicken nuggets, pizza, chips etc. I love fast food but it's nice to eat traditional, British food too!Yesterday we had a lovely chicken casserole and blackcurrant pie for dessert, all made by my mum Who gets the recipies etc from her mum!As for what I can cook. Well...I can put things in the oven, and can use a hob (reluctantly though, gas, fire etc seriously freaks me out :/). But I'm getting better! Like by using the hob I don't just mean I can cook Super Noodles I could boil pasta and sauces, or boil potatoes etc. My mum and people of her generation go on about how at my age and younger, they were confident and cooked this and that. But when we had to do cooking in Years 7-9 at school, the teachers lit the gas and turned the ovens on for us. We only seemed to make cookies etc. Whereas when my mum was at school, I'm sure it was different. They were taught to cook proper meals and had to light old-fashioned gas ovens (where you stuck your hand in with a match and lit it!) themselves. The teachers made it too easy for us so I blame them partly for my uselessness and lack of confidence! Plus people are just different. My mum took an interest and helped her mum bake cakes etc since she was young, whereas with me...umm no. I just didn't have an interest. I have my moments where I come up with ideas but apart from that it still doesn't interest me! I love making banana splits though! I reckon if I had a speciality it would be desserts...and cocktails! :DBesides, compared to the thickos on BBC Three's Young, Dumb and Living Off Mum, who can't even use a toaster or heat up some beans, I'm a bloody pro! And it's not like I make my mum cook, she doesn't mind!

Uh oh. The ex is attending this meet. They've said they're not going to talk to me (thank goodness, cos the thought of it makes me cringe!) but you guys will have to protect me, just incase I mean they spent 2 years ruining my life, don't them ruining a brilliant day out like this one! (If you're reading this thinking I'm harsh etc, you clearly didn't see the arguments we had, how selfish they were and how much happier and confident I became since I dumped them etc!)Cor blimey, feels good to rant! :DHopefully you can make it to the meet Will, you haven't been to one in ages!I don't know if the snow has hit London yet (it's not down my way yet but due tomorrow) but it probably will have by Sunday, if it's still settled or still snowing it will be nice and wintery Although if it's bad, we're gonna have major transport issues! Getting exciiiited!
