Dubstep and electronic music can be big. I remember being a fan of dance and dance-pop in '06 and getting ripped for liking what was essentially an underground genre.Pop music will always be popular. Pop music has evolved throughout the ages and will continue to evolve.

  4. Apparently, the rides system for Transformers is considered 1.5 (an update of the 1999 attraction). One of the blogs review said that Transformers is an improvement but I see no reason why one would be installed at USF, when there's the Spiderman ride.But...there was a rumour I heard ages ago, that now that Disney owns Marvel, they might force USF to change the Marvel land and do a different theme for the Hulk Coaster, Spiderman ride, Dr Doom's Fearfall dropride and the StormForce Acceletron.I really loved the Hulk Coaster, it was my first BIG coaster I went on before Thorpe Park.
  5. I agree!!I think this could be the best thing since Nemesis (From Merlin / Tussauds)
  6. I read that in American in 1973, the percent of people who thought being gay was bad was at 70% and now in 2010, it has dropped to 46%. I feel that society of today are becoming more tolerant and open to the idea of LGB but for it to affect more areas, it will take time. David Cameron is trying to convince Tories to back same-sex marriage and hopefully, this will be the beginning.Long article:MONDAY, Oct. 10 (HealthDay News) -- Younger generations are leading the way toward greater tolerance and social acceptance of gays and lesbians in the United States, according to new research. While the nation remains deeply divided on gay marriage, the vast majority of Americans support basic civil liberties and freedom of expression for homosexual people. This wasn't always the case. In 1973, 70 percent of Americans felt homosexuality was "always wrong," the report revealed. By 2010, the percentage of those who felt that homosexuality was "always wrong" had dropped to 44 percent. The findings show a clear "trend toward greater tolerance regarding homosexuality," said Tom W. Smith, director of the General Social Survey at NORC and author of the NORC report, in news release last week. The researchers found a dramatic increase in support for same-sex marriage over the last 20 years, jumping from an 11 percent approval rate in 1988 to 46 percent in 2010. Meanwhile, 40 percent remain opposed. "There is a large generation gap on the issue [of same-sex marriage]," noted Smith. While 64 percent of those under age 30 support gay marriage, just 27 percent of those aged 70 or older feel the same. The findings, based on a national survey of more than 2,000 people, also showed more general acceptance of homosexuality among younger people. In 2010, only 26 percent those under age 30 said they believed same-sex behavior is "always wrong." However, 63 percent of those 70 and older held that belief. Public attitudes on the issue are highly polarized, the researchers found. Although 44 percent of those surveyed felt that sex between two adults of the same sex is "always wrong," 41 percent thought such behavior was "not wrong at all." Only 11 percent of the people surveyed fell somewhere in the middle. Although the nation remains divided on feelings towards homosexuality, a significant increase occurred in support for civil liberties for gays and lesbians over the past two decades. Support for a gay person's right to speak publically jumped to 86 percent in 2010 -- up from 62 percent in 1972. Meanwhile, support for homosexuals teaching at colleges or universities rose to 84 percent in 2010, up from 48 percent in 1973. The researchers also found more people approved of library books that cast a favorable light on homosexuality. Support for these books rose from 54 percent in 1973 to 78 percent in 2010.

    Video Games.

Finished the story campaign of Batman: Arkham City and this game is amazing and ****s hard on Batman: Arkham Asylum. There is so much to do what with story mode, side missions, saving kidnapped hostages, solving riddles and finding clues, Catwoman missions and challenge maps. And with more dlc coming in the next few months, its unlikely you'll be bored with Arkham City anytime soon.I'm getting Assassin's Creed: Revelations, which if anyone here has played AC1, AC2 and AC: Brotherhood, then they will know how amazing Unisoft is at keeping the franchise fresh and innovative and interesting for new and returning fans. It's highly rumoured that SONY is making a proper, big-budget movie based on the Assassin's Creed developed by Ubisoft (Game Dev) and with the amazing Prince of Persia film, which was based on the game, also made by Ubisoft, one can beg to wonder, how amazing the film will look too.

I personally love chart music but I'm a bigger fan of lesser mainstream and /or upcoming artists, that most people don't know who they are but it feels amazing to discover a new artist, who has brilliant music and to watch them grow and become big. So when they eventually become successful and everyone starts jumping on the bandwagon, it feels even more better to know, that you were there from the beginning. Some of the new artists I've been listening to:Natalia Kills (Industrial Electro-Pop)Sky Ferreira (Alt Electro-Pop)Neon Hitch (Pop)Porcelain Black (Industrial Dance-Pop = Britney Spears vs Marilyn Manson)Kerli (Industrial Electro-Pop / Dance-Pop and Folk)Lana Del Rey:She is looking likely to be the new It-Girl of 2012. Her EP has gone to number 5 on US iTunes and for an artist, who has had literally no promotion apart from a few self-made videos and a few internet interviews, she is highly regarded. She has this Old Hollywood / Valley of the Dolls-style and sings like Nancy Sinatra. She comes across as very mysterious, introverted and sweet and has beautiful, natural lips and a gorgeous, natural-looking face. She performed on Jools Holland with her song VIDEO GAMES and her other song "Kinda Outta Luck" is one of her best and has been featured on Gossip Girl. Her next single is called "Born To Die" and her album comes out in a couple months and she is signed to INTERSCOPE RECORDS.
  10. What are you talking about being 110% correct? This has nothing to do with percentages and Mah Boi wasn't undermining or doubting you. If you saw progress had been made, we've no reason to doubt you. Mah Boi just asked how you saw them. As in which way?(I.e.) With your own eyes or via pictures someone else took because if you saw them via pictures maybe you could've uploaded them. And if Thorpe stopped making coasters, where would that get us Dora?
  11. Awws you remember that

  12. Can you all just stop bickering? It was a comment that got taken the wrong way. Sidders apologised, so let's move on and stop dragging this out.

That's Kerli, who is an Estonian singer-songwriter. I found out about her from her song "Tea Party" which was featured on the Alice In Wonderland Soundtrack, which also had the song "Follow Me" by 3OH!3 and Neon Hitch. She wrote the hit song "Skyscraper" by Demi Lovato and is signed to Def Jam. She was signed to the label at the same time as Lady Gaga but it was decided that Kerli had the most potential to be a star, than Gaga. Kerli has released her 1st single from her 2nd album called "Zero Gravity", which is a dance song with industrial influences.
  16. I think Mark is right!!Thorpe are making a statement with the tank. I think it is important for SWARM to have the limelight but people can't forget so easily about the other main coasters. We wouldn't want people to think these other coasters are so disposable and forgetable.
  17. But the thing is she's an awsome person and she means a lot to me. I don't think she would do it intentionally but I'll see how things pan out.
  18. 1) I hate it when you're nice to people and you stay up till 2am in the morning to act as a messenger between two people, who are having boyfriend/girlfriend troubles and then when you want to talk to them, they can't spare you a bloody minute. You try to symphasise with them feeling paranoid and try to convince them, their friends aren't on purposely ignoring you and then they do the same thing to you. They say they read your message and they will get back to you and when you try to talk to them, they just ignore you several times. I mean what are friends for??2)Another guy, I have been friends with for 2.5 years and whenever I try to talk to him on FB, he just ignores me. He says that I've been friends with him for a long time and I should feel comfortable around him, but how can I, when you don't even reply?Forever Alone
  19. What's up loser? I wanna be where you are.

  20. Album can takes anywhere between a couple of weeks to several years to make. Beyonce's second album took about three weeks to make, whilst Jessie J's debut album took 6 years to make and Ke$ha's album took about 5-6 years to make. Not to mention, that a lot of the XF artists take time, to grow outside of the XF and to hone their skills as an singer and a performer.Matt Cardle is working on his debut album. Matt's single comes out in September and it was written by Gary Barlow of Take That Jamie Archer has formed a band called the Archers and he's negotiating a performance on the XFDanyl Johnson has signed a huge US deal with Columbia (Sony)Cher Lloyd's album comes out in NovemberJoe Mc Elderry's classical / opera album is out, capitialising on the success of Popstar to Operastar. He got dropped by Sony and he got signed up by Universal and If he does well, he will make another Pop album

I never thought You & I would be a hit but it's a very good and it demonstrates off her powerhouse vocals, which only works in her favour. But...I love this new upbeat edit. I loved the video and I thought it was very creative that Laurianne choreographed a routine to....a balladI like the UK iTunes charts atm, not a lot of US artists on the top 10. I will threw a screwy if any of David Guetta's new songs get to number one and I can't wait till US start playing Someone Like You on the radio.Gaga, Beyonce and Adele are all performing on the MTV VMA's 2011 on Aug 28th, which I will be up till 1/2am watching...so excited

YouMeAtSix aren't even that good. I have only heard about them because they covered Gaga's Poker Face. The singer wasn't good and couldn't sing the chorus properly.I mean, there's nothing wrong with fun party music that Ke$ha and Katy Perry do, but its gotten to a point, that it is so generic and the-same, that there's no substance or good lyrics to the songs. I'd like to see dance songs or party song with good lyrics or catchy lyrics.I'd also like to hear songs with funny lyricsSpeaking on Pop music, I like Marina and the Diamonds; she makes brilliant pop music and the ideas and concepts are smart and well-thoughtout. She writes her own songs and she has a unique voice. I didn't think she had good vocal ability, until I saw her in the US on the David Letterman show, performing I Am Not A Robot. Her second album looks to be a mixture of what she had done before and mainstream music but keeping in line with her concepts and ideas on American Ideologies and the decay of yourself to fame. She's been seen with JayZ, Dr Luke (Katy, Ke$ha, Britney) and Stargate (Rihanna, Nicole Scherzinger, Chris Brown, Alexis Jordan).I like Ellie Goulding, La Roux, Marina, Natalia Kills, Porcelain Black, Robyn...all alternative pop artists. They don't have brilliant voices, but they write their own songs and are smart females that don't rely on their sex appeal and good looks to get somewhere.
