  1. It all looks brilliant. I can't wait until Monday week when I too, shall be taken by The Swarm......and the other great attractions at Thorpe Park.
  2. Should be a good night for us, lots of videos and pictures to build up the tension ready for next week.It will, although it being dark, should be the first real chance we will see the ride live up to it's full potential, if all the pyrotechnics work that is, and it will also give us an idea what the ride will be like during fright nightsCan't wait until my trip in a fortnight
  3. THERE'S VIDEO!!It's just come up on Facebook, I can't get it up on here, but I'm sure someone will be able toIt looks goooooood!
  4. Hi all,I normally don't log on much but I do read the forums a lotFirst of all I think that The Swarm is a brilliant idea for the ride and I hope that next year all our ideas are disappointed. However, looking at the ride and all the theming coming from it, a thought has passed my mind. With thirteen at alton towers, Rita was rethemed slightly to fit into the surroundings.IS anyone thinking that the same might happen to Stealth with it's close proximity to The Swarm, even with a little bit of extra theming, slightly destroyed control booth etc I think it might enhance the excitement for the ride a bit more.Sorry if this is in the wrong topic, but its just somewhere I thought I could fit it in.
  5. Morning All,I guess that most of you might have gone to the park together. However, for those of you that have to wait a little longer, BBC News has put a proper article on, showing a bit more of the station too.http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/7937557.stm
  6. If you look at the images on the saw website, if you go from the station, there is a LOAD of theming, it's not like the budget will stop at the start fo the ride, if anything it will be better, as it's going to be the area where most will get scared out of their minds, uncontrolling of the situation, compared to the walkthrough to the trains
  7. The ride is still in commissioning mode no? Surely what they did is either very very very bad to do during commissioning (possibly illegal to do because of H&S), or the commissioning is now finished and they are testing the ride with guests for the first time.Either way, I don't want Saw to be closed for any longer than it needs to be for what a simple marriage has done. Not that I'm being pessimistic or anything..
  8. Does anybody know if there is anything planned to "shock" guests during Thrill Chill in accordance to Saw??or will it just be all the testing for the ride continued, or will they stop the testing for a few days, and work on the interior etc.To be honest, if the park did do this (eg. Hiding Billy the Puppet (jigsaw's "accomplice") over the park, watching guests) it would be one hell of an advertising campaign for the park and/or ride.I mean, if you think of it, even by just having the trains go around the track every so often, with the incredible noise that it makes, I would be attracted to it.
  9. Got to say, with the standard of theming that we see in yesterday's update, this is definitely going to be an immense ride visually and physically. Can't wait, just under 5 weeks until it all kicks off!Oh there is a new blog update on the official saw website. Rather impressed to see that they have already done 250 test runs.
  10. I was just looking at the snow update, the ride looks brilliant, only a few days until it pops up to scare the daylights out of us.I did have one question that I didn't know about, and was wondering what you thought about it.We basically know that the inside of the station and ride will be brilliantly themed, but has anything been said about the outside queuing?.I can guess that the Saw Theme Music will be used throughout the ride..or the music will be remixed for the ride in some way (we only have a little over a month to wait to see), but do you think Jigsaw will have *planted* traps on the outside of the queue, like special switches that will make things jump up etc. Such as the gas canister thing we saw in earlier updates *exploding*. I think this would probs be a brilliant way to build up hte tension in the queue lines, and can also be used in Fright Nights to go LIVE!ANyway that's my opinion, what do you all think Chris
  11. I got to say, with all that surrounds the ride, the car going around it looks awesome.I especially like the detail on the trains we haven't seen before
  12. It is most properly true, however I expect that not all of them are on site at one time. You have those that work full time and those who work part time/weekends/peak periods only.
  13. I think it's a good idea, although do you think it might be too much like yourday at alton towers, with pre-placed bits of "scenes" with the rider looking shocked? If it's a well made video, I might consider spending it, but when you look at the quality of yourday videos, it best look good
  14. No, I mean light on the maintenance shed track, the nyou being *taken* on a detour and I don't think hte SAW tv's possibly just the audio
  15. I like the idea of the maintenance shed within the station bit.Do you think it will be a clever bit of theming, with jigsaw taking you on a detour?
