  1. You're more likely to die in a car crash on the way to a funfair / theme park than on a ride. Fact.End of.
  2. Wrong wrong wrong. The fact that they're are dismantled so often means that showmen actually get a chance to go over the ride so often and they don't need thorough checks because they do it as they're built and taken down.Testing a ride is not just made up of 'if it can do a circuit without collapsing its fine', they go over it to check every bolt is in place etc. Half of the rides at Thorpe are funfair rides that should be on the funfair market anyway! The operators have to have the same license to operate rides that you do if you work at Thorpe or any other theme park, its also the law that they know how to handle it properly, the law doesn't change just because these rides aren't in a theme park. Funfair rides have the same H&S checks that theme park rides do and must have the same ADIPS license that theme park rides do. If anything they get 10 times more safety checks than theme park rides do.Funfair accidents are just as rare as theme park accidents. You must clearly be forgetting that fatal accidents happen just as easily at a theme park as they do in a fair. And they very very rarely do. That could have happened just as easily on Billys Whizzer.
  3. Thats just generally using the correct grammar that you get taught for about 14 years of your life, I don't see why people think pressing shift to make a letter a capital letter is so bloody difficult.

Once somethings published on the internet it seems to be available for all I'm afraid unless you can trace the composer (which was not TP).

The soundtracks that are composed by a third party, they have to pay royalties for. It can turn out to be quite expensive and that is the reason that some soundtracks get removed and don't make a comeback, the main example of this being the original Towers Street theme at Alton Towers.

Wendell Ferguson - Boneless Chicken was a song I always wanted on Loggers. If I could change it though Achy Breaky Heart would be making its way to the bin prompto.

Theres so much stuff I'd like to remove from Loggers, and so much I'd like to add

What happened to Catapult at Six Flags New England? That used to be known as Swat at AstroWorld but got relocated when they closed down. Doesn't that make it two Sky Swats?

It's awful, I will take the Loggers sound store one day and PRESS DELETE

I'm not too sure about at Thorpe but Air was a prototype for B&M Flying coasters and was a lot worse than Rush in its opening year. I know Slammer is only one of two Sky Swats on the planet but I'm not sure if it was a prototype.
  15. A 2008 Theme Park attendance report has now been published online showing the attendance figures for Worldwide theme parks.Merlin Parks...1. Alton Towers Resort - 2,520,000 visitors, an increase of 5% on the previous year.2. Legoland Windsor - 1,815,000 visitors, an increase of 10% on the previous year.3. THORPE PARK - 1,700,000 visitors, no change on previous year.4. Legoland Denmark - 1,650,000 visitors, an increase of 2.5% on the previous year.5. Heide Park - 1,300,000 visitors, a decrease of 5% on the previous year.As you can see here the UK parks have had bigger increases than the European parks except for Thorpe Park which has no change, although it will be interesting to see that figure next year to see how much SAW has boosted this years attendance. Chessington did not feature on the European Top 20 with something less than 1,300,000 visitors.Merlin Entertainments ranked 2nd worldwide in 2008 attendance figures, achieving higher figures than Universal and Six Flags.Full article here - http://www.teaconnect.org/etea/TEAERA2008.pdf

I'm not totally sure but I think it may have been just that part that played on the ride. I tried to see if Shazam would give me the name but it gave me Des Mitchell - Welcome to the Dance which after finding on Youtube is incorrect.

If it had genuinely broken down and wasn't the operator being mean, you would know its about to drop because there is an announcement which says "The gondola is about to be released, please hold on tight and brace yourself."

Oh it could have got a lot more technical than that Bose do like to make things unnecessarily technical it seems. Clever system though, at least it should leave nothing in silence.

That would be because the audio store for Depth Charge was switched off and so the computer would have been told to play its local area music instead which is the Banana themes. Depth Charge does suit having the Flume music but personally I'm glad to have a break from it at the ride.
  21. I knew you would say that you dork
  22. Oh don't worry he loves it really :PTo be honest I think they're pretty good queue times for CWoA. I'd much rather go to Chessington and queue that than go to Thorpe and queue double them lengths.
  23. 1) I wish I could run Thorpe Park for a week, to see if it would be an epic fail :P2) I wish I could find the Mayfair sticker for McDonalds Monopoly!3) I wish I had a labrador puppy. Dawww.

  25. It's the worse bus you could ever go on. :POn Google Street View there is a Thorpe Park Express and it seems to be one of the quieter ones but still rather full.
