  1. 1) They will start testing when the cars have arrived and been put on the track and when all the electrics have been done and the station is finished I would expect, so in closed season sometime, I'll take a rough guess at December - January.2) God knows, the outer shell doesn't look that far off though.3) I hope so! There aren't any plans around for the cars so we'll have to wait and see.
  2. <off topic>In a relation to the posts about taking cameras on to rides, below is a picture of my phone which I had to keep in my pocket yesterday on Colossus and is a good example of why you do not take loose belongings on to rides.

Yeah thats played at 4pm when the music switches to FN music. I didn't really think it was that bad tbh, but I'm not a fan of the annual pass adverts playing on the link all day. Also the team leaders' Thriller video played in the Dome at 4, got a nice little crowd

There is still some stuff Prof Burp hanging round at Chessie above the Mexican Diner, along with a cupboard full of Terror Tomb stuff. And Matt, yes the explosion / danger music is now the lift hill music. Lame.

Are you 100% sure it broke down? I don't know about Loggers Leap but this year the Flume is closing at 3.30 every evening because its not ideal evacuating that type of ride at night in case of breakdown.
  7. James replied to Garyy's topic in The Past
It was largest, then the Flume at Blackpool was built and it was taller, but this was removed to make way for Infusion, making Loggers Leap the tallest again

The Katanga Canyon theme on there hasn't been used since 2005 I believe, possibly 2006.
  9. Nah this rule has been in place for a lot longer than a year now and normally the ride staff will try to latch on to camera's before the train is dispatched which is usually why you don't see trains stopped on the lift etc. It's also dependant on the operator, coz at the end of the day, some operators will see it and not care. It's also because some rides will require an engineer to restart and some won't.Alton's rides are quite regularly stopped for a camera.
  10. Probably not, Canada Creek doesn't really have a storyline like Amity Cove. It's just a small Canadian village. Whether they would eventually expand the Saw theme to start creeping into other rides like Loggers is a different story. It would be cool for them to do that though IMO, Jigsaw in the Loggers tunnel could be amusing.
  11. Agreed with Marc there. It is annoying, it happened when I was in the front row queue with Iskander, Matt and Martin during summer, it may be annoying but I'd rather be held up for 10 mins than be the poor sod who gets sent to their grave by a camera falling off a ride.
  12. Tbh I don't think they will do anything, surely Saw *is* the expansion to Canada Creek, and I guess the retheming of Samurai. I can't see anything happening to the original Canada Creek area around Rocky though.
  13. A rollback technically isn't a breakdown

I've got a Toshiba Satellite A200 on Vista. Had it for just approaching a year now, nothing has gone wrong with it and its crammed full of crap and its still running nice and speedy like the day I got it. Picked it up in John Lewis for £499 so in my opinion its very good value for a laptop. All the tech stuff is here.

Same problem with Vampire that it had last time it was down I believe.
  16. No, when they built Stealth, Amity Speedway was added which is a racing track in Amity Cove. Amity Cove is still there, if it was rethemed it would have had everything ripped out and been made Teacups Land or something. You may have possibly have got your definitions of rethemed and expanded mixed up?
  17. What? No they didn't...

I've just downloaded the Beta version of Windows Live Messenger 9 and I must admit I rather like the new look.'Online' status has been replaced with 'Available'. There is a mini news feed at the bottom showing what your contacts have updated. Display pictures are now on the left of the screen rather than the right and its generally a bit snazzier. You can also select a scene now for your page theme rather than just a single colour. Also I've noticed you now have the option with people to 'Block and report as spammer'. Sounds fun .Print screen of it here.
  19. A whole retheme of Canda Creek won't happen.
