  4. Well here is one of the Oblivion videos from Youtube.Clicky.Not too bad if you ask me.
  5. Something like that probably. On Oblivion the camera's are mounted on the bar at the front of the train and film 2 people, the same way on-ride photos would be taken.
  6. Well if its the same as Oblivion, it will have the photo unit, with photos on one side, and videos on the other. The videos just showed you going up the lift hill as your preview with the usual number on the screen.
  7. Interesting! We finally have an answer to the question of what is going on with CCR. I'm very pleased about the on-ride videos, they were great on Oblivion!

    OmniaMcFly or Busted?
  9. The Chained Oak isn't really that interesting. It's a tree thats half fallen over with chains on it and swastickas graffitied on it. The path down to it wasn't exactly people friendly either. It was still good to see it though after riding Hex earlier in the day.

I hate that duck. No matter how many times I've ridden the Flume and even though I know exactly where it is, it will always scare me. Same for the MEGA loud quacking at the top of the lift hill into the tunnel.

I don't think the TV has been missing that long. Out of all my visits this year, there was two TV's until Scarefest when one had dissapeared.

I hope Nemesis gets a bit of a touch up this closed season in terms of theming features. The station could do with being made a bit more dark and sinister, it seems to be getting brighter everytime I go there now. The waterfalls I'd quite like to see made a dark red rather than the usual pink and I think the smoke machines could be put to better use next year, they seemed to be only going off every now and then rather than letting a small amount off all the time. The audio needs to be louder in the area again, you only really can hear it at the entrance and in the station now. It really does add a lot to the atmosphere and needs loudness again.

It seems a bit weird thinking its shut for good now. It was a good family ride and a bit of a queue muncher to relieve pressure on Rita. I'm sure I'd be a lot sadder about its departure if I'd been around for the start and the good old days at Alton. It was starting to fall apart though and many people find it uncomfortable and painful, and times change and its time to move on. Hopefully the new ride will be a world class coaster with great theming, and seeing how Merlin are already making positive changes e.g Mutiny Bay and Saw, it looks like we are set for something amazing.
  14. A bit. It's not much different, Eurofighters are the same wherever you sit.

Thats happened a few times. Only interesting thing I've ever witnessed really was Slammer being stuck full of riders at a vertical position for 55 minutes. Fun stuff.
  16. From what I've seen, the loop around Canada Creek will be reopened, but will be slightly rerouted around the Saw area. Photo opportunities much.
  17. The station is raised yep, the trench was for a smaller vertical drop, which has been in place for a while now. The trains will go in the direction towards the car park, then round a corner, down the small vertical drop into the trench, into a helix, through the inline twist and out round to the lift hill. This video is the nearest recreation I've seen. Clicky
