Really? I seriously don't remember a 10pm close at CWoA in 07!I think the whole 5pm close thing on weekends is a bit bad but I think 6pm is alright for summer.Obviously we all want it open later but the park does extend opening if it is busy anyways.7pm in August guaranteed would be good though in my opinionI was annoyed when I saw the opening times online. Last time I went to Chessington was in 2007 & I remember the park close at 9-10PM

Vampire is back to a 3 train operation

Just want to say one thing...You said other staff laughed?!I can assure you the staff on the Vampire when people come up to us asking why in a negative way they got silly string on them... don't think it is as harmless as you think tbh.Why even bother doing it?!

Fully agree with that!!Age means nothing, ability means everything.

Is the strobe lighting still in time with the music?

Or just say hello....You are going on Tuesday, eh? Time to stalk!
You can p*ss off! Hate seeing you anywaysPhew, miss Keith by a day
Erm... maybe...Do you visit the place more then you actually work there?
-
Nice trip report Ryan
Shame about the long queues for a weekday though!
Couldn't agree more.I really hope Vampire is back on 3 trains soon, it's desperate for it!
-
Well I am going on Tuesday so I can always let you know the queues if you give me a reminder.Hmmmm I hope the queues aren't going to suddenly soar up next week
Would so love to go if wasn't at college :(Would love to be in the park until 10pm!Friday 25th June 2010, 6pm-10pm. Entry £5 per person. The conservation of wild species is extremely important to Chessington and we would love you to help us support the great work of charities around the world in the plight to protect our planet.
- Shame they can't do this with the rides!
-
^ Be nice if they actually put what rides were closed on the website so I know before I go
-
I am stuck to think who it could be..

Hopefully! I might be going next Tuesday so it better be!Oh wow thanks, so by your experience do you reckon it will be roughly the same times for next monday?

LIKE!After four years of probably being more in favour of Thorpe than Chessington, my visit for the first time in 2010 two weeks ago has now
pulled me into the dark sideconvinced me I actually prefer Chessington now. Wheey.
Friend went to Chessington WoA today:Vampire and Dragon's Fury - 5 minsThen went to Thorpe Park (Same day):Nemesis Inferno - 20 minsDetonator - 15 mins Hope this helpsBasically I'm just asking if anyone has been to Chessington mid-week recently, and how it compares to Thorpe Park's queue times. Personally I'd expect Chessington to be quieter, but if anyone has actually visited then that would be great. Your thoughts? Thanks
-
^ I have actually never seen this before! :PWow! Looks sooo much better! The only negative I can think of is that it makes the area seem smaller but still looks amazing like that!!
-
-
^ Thing is - Do a lot of 'normal' guests really think of the theme behind the ride if they visit Thorpe Park?! - I don't think so imo.

Skip to lift 2 :Phttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8ApxQCgrwEWhat do you mean by 'wall effect'? It sounds like a good improvment watever it is.

I don't do the ERT but I would imagine they would have a list provided from the hotel.I think you have to say the day before or something whether you are interested so they have plenty of time to produce a list.I have seen some hotel guests go through the gates by Wanyama Village but been told usually it is Explorer.(Best way - turn up and see what they say to you on the dayThanks for the help but just one last question, do they check in anyway that you're staying there? Or is there anyway of getting round it?
)
-
I think it is just for Holiday Inn guests.I think they have done ERT for Merlin Annual Pass holders but I don't think that is being done atm.Correct me anyone if I am wrong - but I think atm it is just for guests at the hotel. Are MAP holders entitled to it?
-
If you are entitled to ERT - Usually they will meet you by Lodge Gate (North) and walk you over to Explorer Gate (South). This is currently the case for ERT at the moment in Wild Asia and Land of the Dragons excluding Dragon's Fury.Might of changed since but that was the last ERT info I was told. But where do you go, as I'll probably be going in via the south entrance (the grass parking) and I have no idea of how to get it, as if I need to go to North entrance then I will.
-
Dragon Falls has a new wall effect after you come to the top of Lift 2 until you get to the main drop.Suppose it is quite good really so it covers up the storage areas around back.
-
If it is still in Wild Asia - You will be taken to Explorer Gate for your ERT.How do you get ERT? Is it through the north entrance?
