  1. I actually read all of Mikey's post cause it is all true imo.I look at theme parks in America and see the potential that some of the parks in the UK could do but don't.I think I remember seeing some parks have the same type of rides, and they are cheaper?? - dont know how long ago this was but I remember it.I think Merlin make a lot of money as it is and they must be as they are offering to go back to Thorpe Park for free on certain dates. As well as things like Fastrack / Express Passes being increased in price - Surely they could losen their belts a bit!

  2. Stop putting stupid apostrophies in Chessington, it doesn't have one and doesn't need one unless you're a grammatical boob.Maybe its stuff like "no smoking in the Chessington Resort" or something like that.

I have only put the apostrophies in as if you don't - it will go to 'Chessington' from what you wrote. - So I ain't a grammatical boob! ;)
  3. My mum got the Friday Ad and it was advertising the park and I purposely looked and it says..."Win 3 family tickets to Chessington World of Adventure's".That is a new ad and it has nothing to do with 'Chessington Resort' in any small print, information etc...Josh - Yeah Chessington World of Adventure's & Zoo is now Chessington World of Adventure's ;)

  4. So need to know those dates where the music changes so I can NOT go then!It is the music that creates the atmosphere of a theme park!hense the term 'theme park' and not a 'fun fair'I really do feel strongly towards themeing at a theme park and 'normal' music just ruins the atmosphere completely!!!

  5. Either there were some poor platformers there, or just there was a need for the 3rd train... Although was the queue REALLY going up towards Bubbles? A full queue is 70-90 minutes depending on the number of trains, so 130 minutes would mean it going all the way up the hill and through the arch...

I would say there is definately a need for the 3rd train!!And it was out of the queue line by the Express Pass entrance but not right up the path ;)

Wasn't Fury closed for most of that day too ;) ? That and the need for the 3rd train I would guess would cause that kind of queue

    Dragon's Fury opened at 3pm.
  6. Vampire has had a re-vamp in the station! The lighting has gone from green to red. I don't know if I prefer the green though... :PThe organist - This is looking 'fangtastic' as the lighting on this is fenominal! It is hard to describe what they have done but worth a closer inspection on your next adventure :P

  7. It pretty much turns back into a Haunted House, and is much better for it. It's the only time of year it has a queue. :P In fact sometimes at Scarefest it's up to 60 minutes long (the queue not the ride :P)

60 mins?! Then again, I suppose it is like Hocus Pocus Hall: Bewitched!Does Duel: Live open from when the park is open or later in the day? :D
  8. I rarely get to visit Alton Towers and out of all the times I visited, I only ever went on Duel once about 6 years ago.I went on it a few weeks a go and it seriously kicks ass!!!The whole theme of the ride is amazing! I can't believe I am saying this, but I think it beats Tomb Blaster for me!I even went on it again and didn't shoot to admire the themes which is something I never do. I have never jumped on a shooting ride neither :PFor an amazing ride - I am very shocked of its short queues too.
