  1. And how have you done that many rides? The car area has always been taped off. At first, there was just chains. It was then replaced by the Police tape for a better effect. Sometime though, they have had to use it for make shift queue line. There will be no more actors now, the TP website stated they would be there throughout the Easter Weekend and that is it. They will return in the summer on soem sort of selected days.
  2. Whenever I see people going under the headchopper, it is easy to see heads bang around.Personally, I don't find it that bad. My first ride was quite a shock and a little bit painful, but now I expect it, so it isn't that bad. My head would usually only bang to the left and that is it. However, I do see how some people, perpared or not, could have much worse experiences. I take that this head-banging is due to the actual drop as opposed to any thing else. The 100 degree drop and the way it comes out of it are probably the reasons to it?

Okay, Stealth could have been better. There could have been some great queue line interaction like Oblivion, and perhaps a better story line. The live DJ coudl have been kept, that really added to the atmosphere of the area. However, looking at the situation, not much more could have been done with the track. Okay, an overbanked turn or two would have been possible with some careful positioning. That would make the ride longer, but would it also reduce capacity? Plus, it would increase costs of an already over budget(?) rideStealth is at the moment an up, down and it is over ride. I personally think it was a bunch rubbish with too much hype. (SAW on the other hand gave out one tagline and then all of the other hype was made by each person - in my view).
  4. Just to confirm...Syringe pens ARE £1.50. They have been like this since Friday.Fastrack is currently not avaliable on SAW. You cannot buy it in any of the Fastrack packages, it is not avaliable by itself and is not included in the Ultimate Fatsrack package. If Fastrack does operate on SAW, each ticket will cost £4. In my previosu post, I was stating what usually happens with Fastrack.

But remember, Nemesis is much older than Colossus and has had some track replacement(?) You can't compare an old ride, which has had track work on, with Colossus at this time...
  6. Last I saw, they were £1.50...There are people saying Fastrack would be useful now. So, they think it is a good idea for about a quarter of those people to buy Fastrack tickets, so they can get on it about 2 hours quicker, and leave people in the normal queue waiting for at least half an hour longer... (Plus, at £4 a pop, I really don't see the point...)

Those pens have gone up to £1.50.I have realised that the prices do vary a lot. For example, nearer the beginning of the season, the little Billy figurines were only something like £3.99. On Monday, they were £6.99. Now they are onl £4.99.
  9. SAW failed to open until lunch time today. During tests at the beginning of the day, it climbed at the lift hill VERY slowly, even getting stuck a couple of times. The MCBR didn't seem to help much either...
  10. JoshC. replied to TRGeorge's topic in Stuff
The Billy Puppet is £34.99. There is also a Headknocker for £17.99. There is other stuff which ranges from £1.50 (syringe pens) to £6.99 (a talking Billy Puppet keychain, hats, bags, etc.) The smaller prices do vary day to day.

I guess that this riddle was in some ways corrupt, as there were many different solutions that I hadn't thought of. For that, I apoligize. The answer I had thought of was a queue line (you go in and start and your at the end of queue and you finish at the front).

Although I am not an admin or anything, I'm preety sure everyone is sick of all this arguing so can it just stop. Please. As for the MTDP and future, etc. I've been doing some thinking and I'd say that something like AT's Project Giant Gurgle would fit in nicely to OG / Ranger's County. You could just imagine it... a roller coaster for babies. "Start their Thill Seeker-ness by putting your baby on a roller coaster."
  13. JoshC. replied to Rich's topic in Nonsense
Again, could be considered correct. However, it is not what I'm looking for...
  14. The ride had temporarily stopped on the indoor MCBR due to the amount of cars of the track. Also, in SAW II, there was a trap where someone had to go into a pit of syringes, looking for a key. It was referred to as 'Finding a Needle in a Haystack'.Look, whatever they are, they give the exact same boring effect.
  15. Without trying to sound rude or anything, it is your own fault that you've cut yourself. There's 'barbed wire', so you touch it?Anyway, I doubt TP would make it remotely dangerous as there will be many stupid people trying to touch it... (plus there will be actors using that to their advantage during FN).
  16. JoshC. replied to Rich's topic in Nonsense
Not correct.Answer will be revealed tomorrow if no one gets it right...
  17. If you look, they are syringes. Look backwards when you're on the ride, they look like syringes. However, many people may see it either way and it still gives the exact same effect. Anyway, it is the worst part of the ride, so much more potential there...(Also, thanks for the info on the crossbow thing, I thought it was strange that people were saying crossbows were being fired in front of them. )
  18. JoshC. replied to Rich's topic in Nonsense
Not the answer looking for, but it could be considered as right...
  19. SRQ did seem preety bad. Luckily, I went on really early and was the first SR of the day. That's how I got on SAW twice.I know this is a odd question, but on the indoor MCBR, are crossbows meant to be fired in front of you as well as the blasts of air?
  20. JoshC. replied to Rich's topic in Nonsense
What starts at the end and finishes at the front?
  21. Simple answer... No. I doubt there will be any actors in until Easter Weekend now...
  22. That video is very good, yes. However, I doubt it would be feasible. The talking at the beginning is good. However, I do prefer TP's SAW dialouge. Bit more orginal and can be used for a great storyline.I much prefer the swinging blades to the nails. Much scarier, then the nails underneath is so much better. As for that MCBR, it is very slow, which reduces capacity, etc. Yes, it could be sped up, but then it would take away the feel of it. The spinning blades would have to be so far away that it would be pointless (or have them made out of rubber and ruin the effect). The lift hill is a great idea. The whole emerging from the building is good. Also, I guess the sounds you would hear from the building would be loud (like with real SAW), which would still spoil everything. As for the 'dip' in the dive loop, I guess nothing can be filled in there because of close proximity to CCR amogst other reasons?

Look, everyone, just lay off Theme Park bloke. He has made a mistake and yes, he does sometimes do stupid posts. Just get over it. Perhaps being more polite and giving more hints on what to do to avoid stupid posts rather than just having a go at him all the time is a better thing...Anyway, I don't want a Tomb Blaster style ride at Thorpe. It doesn't fit in with the park's target audience and the space required for it could be put to much better use. I just really want a decent dark ride for the park. (In some ways, I find it a shame that we've got SAW now. I would have much prefered a bigger pyramid for X and just have a SAW themed ride totally indoors (like a long version of th indoor section). Anyway, I guess I shouldn't moan about SAW too much...)
  24. JoshC. replied to Dan_Rush's topic in General Discussion
I don't think they are stickers on the back, they felt much more like a sign.
  25. The body still shoots very little water. What happened today at the bottom of the lift hill was there was the "Game Over" bit, then another countdown from 5 to 0, then you go up.Another spoilt effect was the timer as you pass Billy only saying 0, not 00:00:00:00.
