  1. * I do just wish to clarify... I think Swarm is mearly nipping at Nemie's heels. In places. And when sitting in the correct seat...And regarding the "jerky" / "rough" feeling, when ridinig I did find it hard to get used to on my first ride at the front. It was strange sensation, it didn't really feel like a normal coaster, almost unnatural. It's lucky Thorpe splashed out for a Wingrider, eh? This sensation is what a Wingrider is for in my opinion, a sensation that cannot be achieved sitting above or below the tracks. Utilising the "up/down" motion found on the tip of the wings, as well as the forward direction of the train gives a new ride (likened to Slammer, which I agree with). And as said, B&M have tweaked an existing ride, and well, made a B&M version; smooth as ever.I'll take the front seat for ya! :)Regards,Dodge
  2. Evening all,Well wasn't that fun! All this time waiting hasn't been in vain, I'm more than happy with the new addition. Much more than happy!I only popped into Thorpe for one reason, to meet our new friend, so took four rides (front, back, left and right, in the name of research!). And MY GOD does it differ from seat to seat, it's almost as if we have 4 coasters for the price of one. I have never noticed such a difference before...The front offers lots of strange, floaty, "is it about to stall' hang-time moments in suprising places. While the back (especially the left) goes for the goulies like a starving terrier!! I managed what I wanted, to ride front left first. Then had a go at back left and was NOT expecting what happened next... I had heard mention of comparasons with Nemesis in terms of intensity, and of course I scoffed at this (PAH!). Now, however, it seems the old master has comething chomping at it's eight heels!Enjoy it, those who have yet to go for a spin...Regards,Dodge(and whoever it was I met in the shop, it IS all about the back left. Alas I cannot berate you by name as it didn't click you mentioned TPM till I had departed for another ride )
  3. Evening all,I was planning to go with friends next week, we still are in fact (on Tuesday if anyone cares, but I digress...). But the keeno within has taken over, and after some last minute rota changes at work, I'm off to meet Swarm tomorrow also.It has been too long in the coming, this feeling deep in the gut of good things to come. It has been lacking of recent years. But we currently have one very excited 29 year old bouncing round on the sofa, giddy with excitmennt...!Is it sad to make the 4 hour round trip on one's tod to meet this beast? Thought not!Enjoy it ladies and gentlemen. Lets have some fun :)Regards,Dodge
  4. Afternoon all Having not visited the park in a while (I am unfortunately stuck in my eugh-it's-too-busy-to-go-now-I'm-used-to-queueing-15mins-for-Stealth, mid-season lull), I'm not sure of the extent of their 'hype themeing' on site, but I'm guessing that every guest that goes on Stealth has this fence shoved in their face? It's prime advertising real estate for adrenalin junkies and close(ish) to contrusction. I think this is the reason for it. If it was IN the Sunken Garden, the number of witnesses to the Begining of The End would be much fewer. It may simply re-open again next season, just see it as a temporary pawn in Thorpes masterplan! (I must not get my hopes up. I must not get my hopes up...)Dodgeits been a while since ive posted, for which I appologise for lurking. rest assured you will all be sick of me in due course! hurrah!
