Thorpe Park Rides and Attractions Game 2019-20
Guess you thought it wasn't going to happen this closed season! Well think again. As annoying as this now is it wouldn't be the same going through a closed season without this game! Plus with the forum being so quiet Atm this might bring some activity! As ever, very simple rules: Each ride starts a round with 5 points Must give a ride +1 and -1 every go Before having a second turn must what three turns (other replies) Once a ride hits 0 it is removed and points reset to 5 for every ride Will Nemesis Inferno be victorious again this year? Let the game commence! Amity Beach (5) Angry Birds 4D Experience (5) Bouncezilla (6) Colossus (5) Depth Charge (5) Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon (4) Detonator: Bomb's Away (5) Flying Fish (5) Jungle Escape (5) King Pig's Wild Hog Dodgems (5) Lumber Jump (5) Mr. Monkey's Banana Ride (5) Nemesis Inferno (5) Quantum (5) Rocky Express (5) Rumba Rapids (5) Rush (5) Samurai (5) Saw - The Ride (5) Stealth (5) Storm in a Teacup (5) Storm Surge (5) The Swarm (5) The Walking Dead - The Ride (5) Tidal Wave (5) Timber Tug Boat (5) Vortex (5) Wet Wet Wet (5) Zodiac (5) Bouncezilla +1 DBGT - 1

2020 Trip Plans
After a busy year this year will likely be a quiet one for me with just Energylandia, Legendia and another visit to Europa Park planned abroad. In the UK, hoping to get Thorpe, Chessington, Towers, BPB, Paultons and Flamingo Land done.

Plopsaland de Panne
Plopsaland's official coaster concept. Offride and Static POV. Looks good and has some awesome looking and rare features. I will return in 2021.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Will it return to its former self though? Isn't a lot of it to cut running costs? If that's the case it'll be stripped of many expensive effects surely. I just hope it becomes a bit less wet. I'd be happy for the vortex to go TBH as that destroys you. Boats need to drain better as well.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Did you even ride it last time we were there?

TPM Awards 2019
Agreed! Haven't changed mine in the 11 years (Holy crap, that long!) I have been on these forums!

Closed Season
There is a short Amity/Wwtp section on the 30 mins version of the bridge track. I believe this year its only been playing the 15 minute version.

Thorpe Park Withdrawal Symptoms
I think the term 'grow up' should be looked up, as your initial comment to the whole of this conversation is the only aspect of 'grow up' that needs to be followed. It's a forum for all age groups, and more so for those with a genuine interest in Thorpe Park as I pointed out already. Your comment was insulting to the person who posted in the first place IMO.

TPM Christmas Meet 2019 - Sat 14th December
I myself have only been attending since March 2017, and I echo what has been said above, I felt a part of the group by the second ride of the day. Come along and see for yourself. Try it once, if you enjoy it come again, if not then at least you tried it and don't have to again! It's just like the advice I give to those who are scared to go on a ride. They then go on and say it's awesome!

Thorpe Park Withdrawal Symptoms
I was merely joking! Obviously! Worth pointing out though that whilst you think its a sad topic title, some others may not! It's a Thorpe forum, for people who like Thorpe so there will be people who have withdrawal symptoms!

Thorpe Park Withdrawal Symptoms
But you've looked in this topic too so must be thinking the same 😂

Thorpe Park 2020
When half a dozen other rides closed? Not sure that's the correct wording haha. I get bored quicker at Towers personally.

2019 Season
I don't think overall operations have been bad, on the whole quite the opposite with the odd blips here and there. Staff have been nothing but pleasant on all my visits as well.

Alton Towers General Discussion
We are enthusiasts who have been many, many times so easily bore. People who don't often go and want to make a day of it should be able to stay until minimum 5pm. Virtually every leisure attraction shuts at 5pm minimum, including those that are far less wealthy that the company running Towers. I'm sorry, I get what your saying, but its still poor opening hours regardless of whether it has x number of visitors or not. These large companies should use the excessive profits made in busy periods to cover those days it might make less money. My friend who runs an outdoor crazy golf course still opens until 5pm in winter and sometimes runs at a loss, but its summer trade factors that my happen sometimes over less busy periods. Its a good service that should be offered to bring people back.

Moreso when it's those early summer months and the temperature goes above 21 degrees and they close the skyride!

Alton Towers General Discussion
To be fair when you say it's always the same people who never plan to visit those days that complain I'd disagree, I have had about two conversations with people over the last year who put off their visit because of the poor opening hours. They were also non enthusiast groups. There are also people outside of Cbeebies land as well that would like to visit. If it was purely Cbeebies land open I'd understand. It's not a good offering, simples.

Terrible opening hours again I see!

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
ONE Thorpe fan says the comment on the right! Everyone else has given up on it.

Quantum
It randomly reopened up one day early on in FN, then remained shut until 30th October when it opened at 7pm onwards. It then spent odd days fully open or again just opening at 7pm, before successfully being open all day during the days the park was hired out.

Thorpe Park 2020
I utilised a RAP with a family member over the FN period for the second time in my history of visiting parks and it was a mess. It was one of the busiest of the FN dates and on 8 of our rides the staff member just said go through as I attempted to hand them the card. 4 rides we went on they filled the card in and said rides had queues of between 70 and 100 mins. The longest that was put down was 60 minutes! The member of staff that put the 60 mins down was getting abuse from two groups as firstly he refused to let one lot in (doing his job) as there was 6 people with the wristband holder. They claimed no one else stopped them all day which I had seen happen. The second group directly behind still 15 mins before the time that had been written was up and the father got angry telling him he was ridiculous and that his son couldn't queue due to ADHD. The staff member tried to explain it isnt a queue skipping scheme but to allow them to walk round or join a ride with a short queue. The man and his son stormed off in a rage. A very broken system!

Plopsaland de Panne
The food really was diabolical, all of us there pretty much thought the same, especially the Pirate Grill. €21 for a drink and burger (if you can call it that) and chips. And €3 for a CAN yes CAN of coke is daylight robbery, and to top it all they add 20 cents (so actually €3.20) on without telling you you get it back for recycling the can!

Future Of Chessington
It ranges from £10 to £18 for AP holders depending on the day before Christmas, and then it should be free after Christmas.
