I don't think overall operations have been bad, on the whole quite the opposite with the odd blips here and there. Staff have been nothing but pleasant on all my visits as well.

We are enthusiasts who have been many, many times so easily bore. People who don't often go and want to make a day of it should be able to stay until minimum 5pm. Virtually every leisure attraction shuts at 5pm minimum, including those that are far less wealthy that the company running Towers. I'm sorry, I get what your saying, but its still poor opening hours regardless of whether it has x number of visitors or not. These large companies should use the excessive profits made in busy periods to cover those days it might make less money. My friend who runs an outdoor crazy golf course still opens until 5pm in winter and sometimes runs at a loss, but its summer trade factors that my happen sometimes over less busy periods. Its a good service that should be offered to bring people back.

Moreso when it's those early summer months and the temperature goes above 21 degrees and they close the skyride!
-
To be fair when you say it's always the same people who never plan to visit those days that complain I'd disagree, I have had about two conversations with people over the last year who put off their visit because of the poor opening hours. They were also non enthusiast groups. There are also people outside of Cbeebies land as well that would like to visit. If it was purely Cbeebies land open I'd understand. It's not a good offering, simples.

Terrible opening hours again I see!

ONE Thorpe fan says the comment on the right! Everyone else has given up on it.

It randomly reopened up one day early on in FN, then remained shut until 30th October when it opened at 7pm onwards. It then spent odd days fully open or again just opening at 7pm, before successfully being open all day during the days the park was hired out.

I utilised a RAP with a family member over the FN period for the second time in my history of visiting parks and it was a mess. It was one of the busiest of the FN dates and on 8 of our rides the staff member just said go through as I attempted to hand them the card. 4 rides we went on they filled the card in and said rides had queues of between 70 and 100 mins. The longest that was put down was 60 minutes! The member of staff that put the 60 mins down was getting abuse from two groups as firstly he refused to let one lot in (doing his job) as there was 6 people with the wristband holder. They claimed no one else stopped them all day which I had seen happen. The second group directly behind still 15 mins before the time that had been written was up and the father got angry telling him he was ridiculous and that his son couldn't queue due to ADHD. The staff member tried to explain it isnt a queue skipping scheme but to allow them to walk round or join a ride with a short queue. The man and his son stormed off in a rage. A very broken system!

The food really was diabolical, all of us there pretty much thought the same, especially the Pirate Grill. €21 for a drink and burger (if you can call it that) and chips. And €3 for a CAN yes CAN of coke is daylight robbery, and to top it all they add 20 cents (so actually €3.20) on without telling you you get it back for recycling the can!

It ranges from £10 to £18 for AP holders depending on the day before Christmas, and then it should be free after Christmas.

Noooooo! The classic noise those grabber machines make is one of the last things remaining that has been there for years! Can't imagine walking in the dome and not hearing this... https://youtu.be/AO-p-KRZDgA

I thought it was a pile of turd! Good riddance!

It's simply the return of X. Goodbye Walking Dead. In all seriousness I don't think it means anything, just merely pointing out the countdown to 2020 has begun. I expect similar events to last year, maybe something new.

You're missing the point, they are older rides to samurai. Age shouldn't be a factor as to whether they go so was a sarcastic response as I don't believe samurai should go. I don't want them to go either. Zodiac has been pretty unreliable of late tbf!

Slightly off topic although I would like it to be an improvement for 2020! Having experimented with one of these a few days ago for the first time with someone it isn't that that Is that issue! The problem is the staff not utilising it properly. At one ride (inferno) the person wrote the actual queue time down for us not to reuse it again in that time. On nine seperate rides (some the same) the staff member just looked at the card and waved us through telling us not to worry about having it filled in. On the rest they just wrote about 20 mins or half the actual advertised queue time down. If it was utilised properly there wouldn't be masses of people in the lines for RAP as they'd have to wait in the park somewhere or join actual main queue for rides with smaller queues. There were several occasions where up to 8 people were trying to get on rides with one RAP holder. This they were a bit stricter with when I saw but wouldn't have been all rides I'm sure! When people were confronted at Inferno for being there too early as they had another 20 mins left on the sheet, the staff member suffered abuse as he was doing it properly. The member of public wasnt happy as no one else had stopped him. Hopefully going forward into 2020 staff become stricter or utilise a better system

Well with it about to complete ita 23rd season who knows! In fairness Samurai has been far more reliable in the last few seasons than it was prior, where it would regularly die for long periods of time around twice a season! Zodiacs time should be up before Samurai, as should Rocky Express, Teacups, Flying Fish and Depth Charge.

I left at 7 and walked past it and it was well and truly closed with nothing happening, a closed sign or any staff there. Then about 15 mins later as you say suddenly it was all fine and open. Guessing a staffing issue rather than the ride still being broken seeing as nothing happened on it all day. Had I known it would open I'd have stayed to get one ride this year on it. Ah well always next year. Samurai also had some engineers looking at it during the afternoon although they were not there long.

Can confirm the park was very busy today, but didn't help that Nemesis Inferno opened late and on one train until 3:30, although kudos for them getting it open. Colossus was also evacuated and closed until afternoon. Lets not forget that Vortex, Samurai and Quantum also down. Once Nemesis Inferno opened it had a completely full queueline in all extensions until I left around 7pm. They were running the ride flawlessly having a 30 seconds until the train leaves announcement and staff running around. Ride was run best I have seen in years!
-
It hasn't run since 27th. I think it has less than a week this season.
-
Looks like a drop tower to add to the list of rides mentioned in @JoshC. post as well!
-
Brilliant update. This is certainly an exciting looking project and cannot wait to see the finished project and further announcements for its future. Will certainly be visiting here next year.

The ironic thing, they actually painted some of the fencing again only about a month or 2 ago.

It is half term for many London Boroughs this week, but most of the surrounding London counties such as Surrey have their half term over next week. So for Thorpe it is pretty much half term this week and next. Its unusual for this to happen TBF. I would expect Thorpe to be busier next week though seeing as many more locals will likely visit then seeing as the park is in an area with most schools off then.
