  1. It's funny you say that, because some parks in the world do have unlimited budgets... It's called 'making the product appealing'. Nobody's going to flock somewhere with a refurbished submarine, 1/80th of Colossus repainted, a new stealth sign, when the other 95% of the park still looks terrible! I'm not saying do it all at once, but at least concentrate on one area at a time rather than bits and bobs here there and everywhere.

My favourite bit is how they have subtly contorted Storm Surge to hide the area the Arena filled. Still looks terrible: Too much attention to the coasters, everything else has just been squeezed together, Look like Vortex, Rush, Quantum & Zodiac are built on top of each other, Angry Birds land looks like it is just a sign, Slammer looks like it is being launched into space, WAY too much blank space, Just everything looks out of place. The only professional thing on the map is the green arrow showing you where the entrance is, like everybody needs to know that when they are given the map when they are stood there. I know a lot of TP's clientèle are a bit brain dead, but I don't think they are stupid enough to get lost at the entrance.

  4. X

I think we should all be grateful X opened in the first place. Would have been a huge shame if it never opened....

The new sign could spark some exciting new rumours.... Or are they rumours....
  6. After watching an argument on the Stealth platform during some filming, Nobody will ever get permission using a simple "go-pro". The camera in question was actually bolted to the train, and H&S where still arguing the bolts where not thick enough to support the camera for the rides duration. Do not bother asking to take your go pro with a think elastic band on a ride, it will never get the go ahead.
  7. Really? The ride looks fully built... Not exactly going to take a week to take down some scaffolding and test it for a couple days.

I know it's not a glamorous job, but my contract at Tesco has been made permanent
  9. Well take it from me, who have worked on it for 3 years and operated it for one.
  10. Considering on 9/10 boats it is capable of a minimum of 500 people per hour, managing up to 700 people per hour, your maths is somewhat inaccurate. Which means, it is capable of having a 2 hour queue with between 1000-1400 people. More than double what you are stating. I think you should base it on facts rather than what you think the throughput is.
  11. Ricky replied to Marc's topic in The Past
Air had a short queue? That's a first!
  12. I think the only marketing they shouldn't have done was class this as a 'Maze'. They really should have gone with a "I'm A Celebrity: The Experience" type of approach.
  13. Am I the only one struggling to see the point in this sign...:
  14. I don't think Jungle Run even exists as an IP now. I dont even remember the last time that show aired? Why would they bring out an attraction nobody has heard of in some 10 years! Everyone who is able to remember it, knows of IAC, anyone below the age of 14/15 wouldn't have a clue what Jungle Run is. Your logic is bizzare. Hang on, let me bring out a Rosie And Jim walkthrough while we are at it.
  15. Considering they are currently building IAC where Brainiac was last year, I would have though people would of have realised Brainiac won't be there
  16. I thought it opened for like an half an hour?
  17. I see this more as an indoor adventure park for families after lunch. its not the worst thing in world, it's not the best, but it gives us something to do seeing as there isn't anything to do at the back of the park.
  18. SAW Alive, was due to running costs, this won't require 15 actors at £70 a day amongst other running costs.
  19. If Jake Quickendon isn't at the opening ceremony I am not going

Can I also just point out nothing as far as we are concerned is confirmed on anything. 2016 is rumoured to be an IP as is the 2015. Stop jumping the gun.
  22. Ricky replied to OldFarmerDean's topic in The Past
Matt, there are a total of 23 rides and 3 Attractions. Three rides have IP's (SAW, Detonator & King Pigs) with 1 Attraction IP (AB4D). I would say that is FAR from flooded... That's 19 rides which are kind of, original based.
