The thing that annoys me the most is that they where silly enough to hype it up and enough and make it sound so scary and I think thats why people feel let down because its not really scary at all from many of the reviews I've read most people found it fun which isn't a bad thing but if you ask me it's a bad idea for parks to create all this hype for new rides because they create so much that its hard for the actual ride to live up to it's expectations.

I think the park is starting to get better at their theming now, hopefully new rides can live up to the level of theming we are now seeing being put into place accross the park, I can't wait to see what the park do in the future.

I was thinking of going to Alton this year and seeing what the ride is like after I haven't visited for five years this year, however I have become really confused as some the reviews for TH13teen are great and other are really bad and it seems to be that most people felt the ride was average, so I'm really stuck on what to do know, I've seen photo's of some of the theming and theming and some of it sounds great.

No I higly doubt it would be a Vekoma Enigma because X No Way out is a backwards completely all the time in the dark roller coaster where as this ride is a switchback ride, and from what I heard the ride was manufactured by intamin?

Well to me that seems silly to do that, because if the parks open then it should be ready, its like if you go into a resturante thats just opened you don't expect them to still be painting the walls, or decorating the place because its an annoyance to you as the customer.

I've tried deleting my browsers history many times but it still won't work and I don't know what else to do :S

A couple of points I've just noticed from watching the video again, the interviewer didn't even seem to notice or realise what the worlds first element was and surely with a drop like you would have thought it would give the ride a completely different feel and vibe :Sand also for all the people moaning on about oh don't go on about theming not finished and tools left everywhere and looking untidy ect because its not finished, well pardon me but that ride is supposed to be open in a matter of days, surely the ride should be ready by now!

I have to admit I'm am rather disapointed looking at the video from GMTV, when I saw the tree's and wraiths and things I thought ooh the theming on this will be great just as in previous rides however it doesn't look all that well themed tbh, it just looks like a steel building with no theming from what I could see on the inside, however granted there where no effects or lights so hopefully they can redeem themselves and the outside, all equiptment and mud eveverywhere makes it look really untidy and as previously said unfinished so they need to tidy up to.Another reason I was expecting something spectacular was going about this worlds first element and the ride being a pshyco coaster for the thrill market but from what I could see the ride was tame and looked aimed at children just as previous rides to me, the drop inside wasn't very high at all and seemed pathetic to me and just the ride in general didn't seem scary, I will see what other people say and such when the park finally opens as I am reconsidering visitng the park now.As for people saying basing it on a video, the video is supposed to give you an idea of what the ride is like and from what I can it doesn't look very good, however they have the chance to redeam themselves through use of effects and theming inside and tiding up.

I'm getting really annoyed now, I've been trying to look at thorpe park website for around two weeks now and everytime it just comes up with the same message as mentioned before and won't let me look at the site though I was able to look at the new site before :S

no it is only two she appears is as one is just of tree's and the necklace because I wanted to see the advert so I changed the channel and my sister got in a strop and said " thats the stupid boring advert anyway, wow aload of tree's."

Ah kl I haven't seen the map yet because I can't access the webiste right now :S

Could this ride linked with the hotel possibly have been confused with a boat service linking the hotel to the park?

Nobody still has any ideas on what type of flat ride or when it would be installed?the MTDP shows a flat ride in fungles place and a restrunate behind that and the Iferno shop, wonder what sort of ride they would add and what effect this would have on ranger county.

Looking at the MTDP and thinking about the areas where some of these flat rides are supposed to go and noticing how Octopus Gardens area is to be removed I am wondering wether the rides from octous gardens could just be placed in some of these spots as some seem to small to house larger flat rides :S

everyone keeps saying what its like and I'm intrigued to see this failure everyones going on about, everytime I try to visit the site it says something about trying to attack cookies or something :S

looking through I;ve just seen I'm not the only one with problems accessing the site, hopefully they sort these kinks out as the site usually works fine for me :Sand I really want to see this new map

so basically we would assume the coasters would be 2012, 2015 and 2018 however we have to remember that plans change like has been said before as saw was supposed to be ready for 2008 and they could always add in a different high capactity ride other than a roller coaster.

what I meant by a more diverse range of attractions was that it doesn't just have to be focusing on adding in roller coaster after roller coaster and flat rides there are other rides that could be made greta at the park such as a haunted house, with the right theming and detail a haunted house ride could be much more than just for children and besides although there target maybe the thrill seekers there are younger thrill seekers they have to cater for and thrill seekers have families to.they could make a really nice mac splash battle as a way of cooling of and it could even be fun for the adults and I even once thought of thorpe adding in a water cable ski you know more different types of attractiosn not just flat rides and roller coasters.

Looking at there MTDP I'm not sure wether to be happy or sad?There are a three roller coaster which is gd but tbh roller coaster are becoming ten a penny, I'd like to see the park take on a more diverse range of rides such as a really well themed haunted house ride althought little deatils are given away by the MTDP and we don't know for sure this is what there going with, the park has so many roller coaster now I'd like to see it take on more types of other rides.

2011: Ranger county area closed for new area and attractions in 2012.Loggers leap starting outdoor section has had plantation and small tree’s added along with rusty saw machines and blades to add to the scenery.In the middle outdoor section a cut down tree which has fallen over the ride has holes which leaks out water onto the riders as they pass underneath.There is little other theming as I think the ride is ok as it and there is a nice feeling of Canada because of the tree’s and lakes and scenic views.New promotional campaign and slogan.“Thorpe Park are returning to there routes again to create the new nightmare for 2012.”Red claw slashed on a black back ground and dinosaur roaring noises are played along with green routes overgrowing fossilised bones.There’s a bright orange flash and a dinosaur roar along with the red slash across the black screen afterwards.“Thorpe Park brings the apocalypse, in 2012.”2012: The new area opens Fossil Forest.The whole area has been rethemed to a prehistoric forest with cavemen and dinosaurs.Monkeys banana boat ride, themed around the prehistoric primates and cavemen and features figurines aligned to show the evolution of primate, apes to man.Ceratops Carousel the carousel rethemed around the Ceratops species of dinosaur.Vengeance- Is a haunted house style ride themed around the period of the cavemen and the dinosaurs and how they battle one another along with battling you, the end of the ride is based around the extinction events and links to Mayan Prophecy. The area is called Imperial Laguna and is themed around an aquatic alien colony preparing for war in the lagoon.B&M prototype roller coaster: RequiemThe roller coaster reaches 200 ft and features partially over the lake along with twisting and turning etc through scenery such as pieces of large coral reef structures dotted around.The station is themed around the spaceship which crash landed on the island and the ride then travels past a couple of watery scenes where the aliens are controlling the ship, firing lasers and reaching up out of the water and holographic effects.Vortex - Vortex moved into spaceship station building using a laser light show and holographic effects.Orbit- An evolution themed around a spaceship orbiting the alien’s planet which is outdoors.2017: Rumba Rapids is rethemed and renamed and updated after 30 years service to the park.The new ride is called Fever River RapidsThe new ride is themed around travelling down the tempestuous river of the tropical island and the ride now features seatbelts.The station hut is themed around a small volcano and as you exit the station you face and area with jets spraying water from the sides everywhere and then you travel around the corner where you see a barrel overhead filling with water which creeks and then the water explodes out all over the riders.The indoor section has been themed back into a cavern and the inside still features the waterfall sides however has now been themed to a crystallised cavern with crystallized light effects which also features sprinklers and the scene shows large crystals with heads on pikes where outsiders have come to steal the crystals and have been beheaded.Then outside there is a leaky water system above head and then when you come to the visible large section the hut has been rethemed to run down with a tribal family indoors and out cooking and such the shower effect has been replaced by a small volcano which erupts with jets to soak the riders.The area where Vortex was situated is refurbished into an outdoor picnic rest area with scenic garden views.2018: Detonator is removed to be replaced by an Intamin Gyro drop tower reaching 200ft next year. 2019: Cyclone- An intamin drop tower reaching 200ft which is themed around a cyclone hitting the island with the theming around showing this with broken debris and pieces of a boat around.
