  1. Because everytime this is tried, people refuse to leave Annual passes without having the picture taken and complain about having to go elsewhere. And you can get an annual pass from any of the sales units in the park.....If you don't want to wait in the queue, buy a ticket then get the price of it taken off the annual pass at the sales desk... simples

    SAW: Alive

The reason they do this is so that they can give the actors more of a heads up as to when groups are coming through. If there are only a couple of people waiting, there can be periods when the actors are "stood to", with no guests coming through. By allowing a small queue to form, the actors can be stood down for a few minutes, then be "stood to" for a larger number of groups. The idea is so that the actors have a better idea of how many guests they can expect to come through, hopefully allowing them to be fully in character when a group actually comes through.
  3. The thing you need to remember though, is that Universal have a lot more space and much higher budget to be able to fund that. Can you imagine every guest walking through and having a bag searched in the space available at turnstiles or the bridge? The mass of people/surge would be HORRENDOUS, not to mention quite dangerous
  4. There is no way that's feasible, the park would get called rascist, ageist, sexist, every type of predjudice known to man. With the way things work with political correctness around now, that is about as likely as the world exploding in the next millisecond....oh look, it didn't I do understand where your coming from though, it's just impossible
  5. But then when you consider the amount of contraband material that is found in that process every day, it goes from being "really annoying" to really useful and effective...
  6. Multiply that by ten and I think you'd be a bit closer...
  7. Are you sure she chose print at home? Because if she hasnt got print at home then I would assume she's used her mum's card, so she'd need the card it was booked on to collect the tickets. But otherwise, the accompaniment age is 12, so as long as she is over 12 she won't need an adult. If she's bought a child ticket and is under 12, she'll need an adult over the age of 18
  8. High speed rides such as Stealth, Nemesis and sometimes Colossus will shut down for adverse weather. Most of the rides are usually able to operate in rain, but Stealth will certainly shut down pretty much as soon as any rain starts

    MTDP

Fair point, but that doesnt mean that they will be exactly the same, as has been previously said, nothing on the MTDP is actually certain, designs and ideas can change

The plans clearly show 3 coasters....In terms of that part of infilled land, the plans show the coaster starting on the other side of the education centre, so only a very small part of the coaster would be on that bit of land, the rest would be alongside where Depth charge currently is?????

    Your Thorpe Park

10,000 maximum is very low for example during the summer last year the park was averaging 12,000 a day good ideas other than that though
  12. To be honest, thats maps thing is obvious...instead of just handing them out to people who dont want them and are therefore likely to throw them away anywhere. If you charge for maps, only people who need them will buy them, and if you need it your not going to throw it away....
  13. Am I the only one really confused about this? I know it says on their about the £5 charge, but then...Restrictions apply to Standard Merlin Annual Pass including, but not being limited to,:12.1 NO entry into Madame Tussauds (London), The London Eye, SEA LIFE London Aquarium and London Dungeon during the whole of August;12.2 NO entry into Thorpe Park on Fright Night dates; As from last year its clearly all liable to change, but the terms and conditions for the standard pass seem pretty final that they are not valid for fright night....
  14. This depends on whether your full time or not. Weekend staff there are A LOT of under 18's
  15. Not any more! as of tonight, the Thorpe BOGOF deal is only available inside the park!
