  1. Thanks to Towers Times/South Parks for this! As I mentioned there - some interesting things: 1) Actors will touch you. 2) There are 50 steps 3) It's dark and scary!
  2. Hey - now even Disney are doing it with their rivers of light thing. It happens all the time ... just be patient We'd all rather it opens late than opens rushed.
  3. Madame Tussauds: Sherlock Holmes Interactive Experience Replacing the chamber of horrors, I guess. https://www.madametussauds.co.uk/london/en/latest-news/whos-coming-next/holmes-comes-home-to-baker-street/
  4. A simpler way to break this down would be: Old stuff (Victoriana, Creepy Dolls) New stuf (Fracking, London Underground) Creepy stuff. (Creepy Dolls, Fracking, The End of The Line, Demons)
  5. They still had shots of the sign saying opening May 6th. If this wasn't the case - they wouldn't've done that Plus:
  6. I think the VR will be a small part of it. Look at how big the building is - is they wanted it just to be VR, it would've taken up a much smaller footprint Very excited!
  7. Knowing Derren - they're probably entirely relevant. He places subliminal messages into things like The Heist (Just Do It) and such! They look lovely and timeless!
  8. I think it's also due to the fact that kids under a certain height couldn't ride it and it probably held up batching lead to less people per hour through the door. Some people I know actually prefer it not moving - as the film creates such movement anyway. Reviews for the bus moment on TripAdvisor are still very strong.
  9. .... or so we're meant to think! (Remember the lengths to which Derren goes!!!)
  10. This might be of interest to everyone. http://www.engadget.com/2016/04/05/htc-vive-review/
  11. The staff are just as excited and proud Yesterday they were making sure all the effects were working for us and stuff! It's a beautiful, beautiful shop!
  12. Sorry - didn't mean to make anyone irate. I don't know a huge amount about it at all, really. I'm excited for it!
  13. I had a dream you were enclosed in a ride vehicle that, somehow, was able to have projections on it to give the illusion that things were outside when they weren't. Then the ride vehicle made its way on to the bridge to take you to the actual vehicle and, as I know the ride's illusion, I will stop there...
  14. Nope. That won't happen. You're right - there is more to this than meets the eye.
  15. Disney are to use it for the Millennium Falcon thing for Star Wars... when that opens in 2053.
  16. The Q&A video periscope thing said it'd be open in May. I have a feeling that shouldn't've been said, though!
  17. I expect it to be timed entry with no fast track at all.
  18. If you're referring to Immersion tunnels... the SimWorx immersion tunnels I've done are fine; they do the job well and provide what they need to. I don't know how one vehicle moving into a wrap around screen differs from another. However - DA seem to have a lot more diverse transit attractions. Depends if you want to support a british company in Simworx - or an Orlando based company in DA!
  19. http://www.simworx.co.uk/immersive-tunnel/ I would say this - but it's not really the same shape as the building photos. However... looking at the artwork - this ride vehicle may be more like it... http://www.simworx.co.uk/av-fx/agv-darkride/
  20. Shrek? SubSpecies? Even Celeb had some good set work in it! This is not only Merlin's first big budget dark ride... but it's Merlin's first big budget attraction. We must remember the new Dungeon cost £25M... this is costing £40M.
