That would be the queue line audio.

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
It won't just be a simulator. Not for £35M. Plus - look at the size of the building. It's a bit saddening how negative a lot of theme park "fans" are when we have nothing to be complaining about. Let's just wait and see

Shrek's Adventure London
I've heard from the attraction that the bus movement will be back in Mid January. Great news!

London Dungeons
Awesome! I am sure this was just for previews as they haven't had their press opening yet. Glad to hear it's well themed! Is there still Dungeon tat to buy from somewhere? I do wonder if they will merge giftshops...

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
An external PR company did this. I think it's good but the audio is dire. Not only have they chosen the worst string sounds in the world they appear to have life the girls' laughter from Rollercoaster Tycoon 3. Shame. It still makes me excited for what could be a new haunted type of attraction!

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
What's MORE exciting is a wonderful illusion designer called Paul Kieve is also on the creative team for this. Paul designed the actual Svengali for Derren, as well as the wonderful illusions for the stage shows of Ghost ( ), Matilda, Lord of the Rings, Our House, The Invisible Man, The Witches, The Witches of Eastwick and so many more. Here's my interview with him from ages ago:

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland
Went through today. No live actors, but the long dark corridors and sudden effect starts make it very un-nerving - and GREAT for only £3. The huge ghost train (new for this year) had live actors inside and they do startle. The live actors inside the Haunted Mansion Ghost Train also do startle. It's ironic... the scare maze has no actors and the ghost trains have them!

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
20% off in the Derren Brown Attraction retail shop - but could've won thorpe shark hotel breaks, annual passes, fastracks, VIP coaster climbs or a backstage tour.

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
Was at Derren Brown's live show today - and everyone got a scratch-card advert for the new attraction in a gold envelope. The show was amazing - no hints but it re-instilled into me how much a wonderful showman he is and made me very excited for whatever he and Merlin have planned for us! I would attach a photo but I am "not allowed to use that image extension on this community" so forgive me for trying to post a twitter picture. Here's a link:

The 2016 Thread
A village made of sustainable lego bricks (kidding... I've got no idea what it means) Maybe there isn't much demand for a hotel as they originally thought. Or they want to do the entire re-brand, re-theme and open the big star ride and then concentrate on the hotels. Who knows?

London Dungeons
I hope they make full use of the size of the giftshop area - it looks like form the video they will. Will be nice to have a free drink (and they'll make money from people buying more drink). I wonder if you can come in from the "outside" and just have a drink? I also hope (and presume) this will be a brand new experience that will last beyond just the Christmas season? New permanent shows inside the dungeon, please.

But no generic us park has the intensity of sub species or the towers location as a whole. Apples and oranges.

Well you shouldn't have - they just assign you the time you want on the day. Unless there's a booking fee for Standard Pass Holders on the day? Do tell us more.

Shrek's Adventure London
If you're a premium pass holder it's £1 to book online if you want to - or you can just turn up and they'll give you next available time slot. If you're a standard pass holder you MUST book the the £1 time slot online beforehand If you're a VIP passholder, you get escorted right to the front. I dislike the £1 it costs to book. They claim it's because some people book and then don't turn up. They should make it a deposit, then. It's an absolutely bloody triumph of an attraction.

Shrek's Adventure London
When I went on a sunny day in August - it was completely sold out and the queue took 50 minutes to enter. It was hugely popular.

Project WC16 - New for 2016
Well I've been told that Alton are heading more in the direction of story-telling and theatrical attractions than coasters. I think the public are more excited by those sorts of rides than a big scary coaster as you're not limiting your audience. What the parks need now ARE dark rides, immersive experiences and story based attractions. They have their fair share of big scary thrill rides - so now they know what people want more. SubTerra is (was?) a great example of this; Hex, also - and The Haunted House over at Legoland. Merlin, I think, do these very well. I would think they won't release the cost of the original Shrek attraction - but each one, from now on, will cost £8M to build - as the template is there to build on. The London one probably cost a lot more due to the conditions of County Hall being quite demanding in a build. I wouldn't be surprised of Shrek London cost £20M to build. I was told by a worker that they threw a huge amount of money at it! And it really does show inside! It's a great family attraction.
