update from thorpe park official: THORPE PARK Official Hi guys, we're still making the finishing touches so X will be open a little later in Spring

but surely they have all of the closed season to get it ready in time, sounds like I'm not going to be able to ride it during my visit next monday

sounds exciting, but they didn't mention when it will be open, will it be in time for opening day this thursday ?

"until the end of spring", are you sure, so wouldn't that mean these rides wont open in time for opening day this thursday, correct me I I'm wrong ?

18th march, busy or not.. any ideas ?

from what ive seen in the live feed so far thorpe have done themselves proud with the area around swarm, love the new billboard and fire effects then there is nemesis inferno with the mist now up and running again and then there is the rest of the park which has seen a nice tidy up, but then we come to loggers and Colossus which I'm far from impressed with, yes the rest of the park looks great but surely there cant be any excuse for this, this is where thorpe shoot themselves in the foot, just not good enough if you ask me, they have had the whole of the closed season to fix this and nothing has been done, and yes I can understand the budget etc but they could have done a better job, lets just hope we have a surprise waiting for us when x opens

I'm gonna be disappointing if there is no change after all this hype, I can agree this ride would be fantastic if done right

think we need to go back to the designs of maps we had a few years ago, these current maps are just awful, if any of us were to of never visited either alton or thorpe before we would be lost, disgusting

will you need a ticket for the back row (backwards) all year round or just for annual pass day ?

with everyone who has been over the last couple of days and had a feel for how busy it has been, how busy do you all think it will be tomorrow (19th), and how long will the queues for like the swarm etc be, many thanks guys ?

Isn't there supposed to be a fire ball which erupts from the top of the fire engine as well, hope all of these effects mentioned will be working when I'm going on the 19th.. fingers crossed
