  1. yeah, thats true, but the spinning does generally stop quite fast after the power goes, maybe 2 or 3 swings, but vortex continues to swing.
  2. when I last went I wasnt in the queue long enought to hear them re-play any of the songs as the queue was surprisingly short?
  3. now that is true!!surely its only there as a kind of background, but we dont really want to hear it all the time? they do play some good music on there though?I was listening to it whilst queueing for stealth and they played some old favourites!
  4. I know!I think we should make a stand on this one and protest that they change it back! I wonder what they'd do if we did? *thinks*

watch this?depending on your sense of humour, you may be amused?bebo tv (britains got GAS??)
  6. I went last friday and all rides were open apart from detonator?when it finally did open at about 1'o clock, it was barely open for an hour before it closed again. other than that, all queues were fine, none more than an hour. stealth was running 2 trains, as was Colossus. but tidal wave was only running 2 boats instead of 3 for some reason?
  7. which ride music does everyone prefer? slammer 2006? -or- slammer 2007?because the theme music for slammer this year doesnt seem to match what the ride is, fast and exhilerating, which is what the 2006 music did because it was fast paced, where as 2007 brought the slow and subdued music?
  8. yeah it does, the spinning slows down, but does not stop altogether and the arm swings for ages .
  9. its surprising, because when I went on rita queen of spped at alton, I had my arms up and when it launched I could feel the force on my arms, but on stealth, the launch is faster and yet I dont feel any force at all! wierd ?

yeah, I know what you mean.the park has changed so much, but it is good that they are still using it on some rides?I think it would look odd if they changed all logo's on every ride to the new logo.it works well, because X is an old ride and was around when that logo was designed, so it seems fitting that they keep it!

one thing I noticed, they re-themed it, and yet its still got the old thorpe park logo on the front of the trains
  14. technically I didnt get stuck, but I was on vortex and it was swinging at the highest point, and usually it slows down really quickly from there, but they made an announcement that it might take a while for it to stop as the controls for stopping it had failed?wierd, but we got to ride it, like 3 times longer than everyone else so I wasnt complaining!

I found this extract from wikipedia about X:2007 RevampX:\No Way Out closed on Sunday 18th February 2007 and reopened on 17th March 2007 with several modifications.A new queueline video explains that the buidling is a former Technology Research Centre that closed after an unspecified incident occurred. The centre has been reopened for tourists using the old transport shuttles, and that guests should board these for a tour around the centre. The new premise is that the computer controlling the shuttles encounters a critical error as the shuttle departs the station, and the ride experience is the result of the X operating team trying to regain control of the train.Retrieved from "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X:%5C_No_Way_Out"I take it that this is what the new theming for the ride is, and why it now has different music?I am yet to go on the new one, but will very soon I hope
  18. I agree with everything said so far, but even thought they spent 12million pound on stealth, I'm sure they've got enough left, just to add a little touch to the surrounding scenery?

yeah, I got a school trip to TP as part of my 6th form induction week, so it should be all cool!
  20. I see what you mean and I totally agree!I think that they shouldnt have brought it back this year, its had its day and now its only at TP because it holds some of the parks heritage!the least they could do when they brought it back was to change it, or try to fit it in with the other rides around that section of the park, it looks out of place where it is currently? not to mention the ugly fluorescent (sp?) orange that they've painted the train!I think they forgot, nearly everyhting else in the area is blue! it looks wrong!
  21. yeah, I agree! but thats what stealth was designed from, but just on a smaller scale! its got to be an awesome ride, and I want to ride it sometime in the future!
  22. yeah!you think, we've got stealth (the tallest and fastest coaster in the uk)nemesis inferno and Colossus (worlds 1st 10 looping coaster)and now the much awaited (sp?) new flying coaster!thorpe park have got the right idea for new rides in the next few years, it certainly has brought more people to the park for them and somehow, I dont think they're going to stop with their big ideas just yet?!
  23. its hard to really imagine what TP will be like in 10 years? alot has changed TP in the last 5 years.its a very had thing to predict as they are being quite secretive about future developments and plans?my bet is, they will use the land the farm was on and it will have a very exclusive ride on it? another world record holder maybe?but my guess is as good as anyone elses
  24. I think the only reson they brought it back was because it was the first coaster introduced by tussauds I think?so its got a lot of history behind it?the last time I went, it still wasnt open and they had a digger making this massive hole right next to it? god knows why?also because its not fast, so its ideal for family groups with yonger kids?I think the rides fine where it is, and I can understand why they put it back, but theres really nothing to it? more attention needed to the area around it I think
