  1. The thing that took me by surprise the most on this ride is the so called little drop inside actually felt very large lol Does anyone know how big the drop is inside? It certainly made my stomach go over it must be bigger then I thought, I've got a feeling they ride goes underground abit before comming back up!
  2. How long until we see a 3D model of The Swarm on there?
  3. I'm fairly sure they wouldn't have left anything to chance when it comes to arm and leg room and pottencial hazards etc..
  4. I'm really excited about Thorpe Park getting a hotel, this could be a huge success and make them alot of money. The location looks really nice overlooking the lake and it'll increase visitor numbers to the park, I think Thorpe Park needs 1 now cause the park is expanding quickly in size and it's becomming harder and harder to get all the rides done in 1 day what with some of the queue's being really long!
  5. B&M know how to create rides with close shaves/head chopper effects, just take Nemesis at Alton Towers for example when the inline twist goes over the station roof and then it dives down under that bridge before the loop.
  6. Or how about the sound of the gun fire on the official website that would make a good queuline soundtrack!
  7. If we are talking about what soundtrack they are going to use how about just the sound of a swarm of insects like Bee's or wasps? Afterall the ride is called The Swarm so I think that would be a suitable sound, not very original or inspiring I know but it would work! I just think if they try to be too flash with these sort of decisions they normally end up getting it wrong example being I think Stealth was the wrong name choice for that particular ride and the music didn't fit the feel of the ride either The concept that The Swarm is some kind of locast of insects or flying aliens that's invaded earth and has caused Armegeddon is a great idea so why not just represent this with some loud buzzing noise when your queuing up? Could get annoying after awhile and drive people away if it's too loud but that's something I'm sure they'd make sure wont happen!
  8. Hi everyone it's been awhile since I last posted on here, I've been so busy checking out the latest updates on the official Swarm website and the Developers Diary on Facebook that it completely slipped my mind to check out everyone's comments on here! Well well what can I say they've done a fantastic job on The Swarm construction site what with the track being completed already and I can safely say it's looking awesome I seriously cannot wait until March now to ride this monster! It'll look even better when the theming is done aswell, it's shaping up to pottencially be Thorpe Parks best rollercoaster yet I think!
  9. The name, the slogan, the promo, the concept of this ride all kick arse! I've got a good feeling this is going to be mega, maybe their best rollercoaster yet
  10. This has got me really excited, looks very promising!
  11. I think LC12 stands for Lying-coaster 2012, because it's a Wing-Rider which involves lying down like on a flying coaster like Air.
  12. Great concept at the time but very much a proto-type and as a ride a fairly average experience even if a unique 1 for the UK, the Americans have built much larger and better versions since!
  13. It's good cause its a 1 trick pony yet somehow never gets any less scary no matter how many times you go on it, personally I tend to wimp out of this ride lol I went on it once, scared the crap out of me, almost killed me so never again! The g-force is ridiculously intense and its very deceptive, dosnt look high from below but once your up there your like "Why did I do this?" lmao
  14. 1.) SAW The Ride2.) Pepsi Max Big One3.) Nemesis (original)4.) Colossus5.) Stealth6.) Tidal Wave7.) Samurai8.) Megafobia9.) Oblivion10.) VelocityJust missing out would be; Speed, Kulami, Jubilee Odyssey, Nemesis Inferno, Air, Ripsaw, Dragons Fury, and Cobra!
  15. Based on rides then Saw Island clearly wins hands down but for scenary I've gone for Wild Asia, although the theming for SAW is good and it suites the rides mood I cant help but thinking how ugly some of it is lol
  16. I can understand why alot of people have voted for Alton Towers cause naturally it is quite haunting with the scenary there etc.. but I've voted Thorpe Park based on the mazes they put up there and the additional attractions of SAW the ride and the SAW maze really work with the halloween atmosphere!
  17. About what I expected Great news cant wait to see construction updates comming in!
  18. Well AT havnt built a ride thats blown me away since Oblivion I'm hoping their next coaster will be a terrrain hugging Floorless coaster with multiple inversions!
  19. When can we expect construction to begin? I remember with SAW it started about July the year before it opened so hopefully not too long, I would expect to see some sort of activity going on in the next couple of months!
  20. Alton Towers will always be the best Theme Park 'Theme' being the key word here, its far more beautiful then Thorpe Park or Chessington and has lots of relaxing areas and magical gardens etc... but Thorpe Park has become the best for rides at least thrill rides and rollercoasters anyway, Alton Towers probably still has more variation of rides more rides for family and kids etc but in terms of pure adrenaline Thorpe Park has already overtaken AT and I cant see that changing for many years to come to be honest, plus TP still has alot of expansion room with the infilling of the lakes whereas AT is virtually out of space now!
  21. Yes Alton Towers still edges popularity for theme parks in the UK but Thorpe Park is gaining popularity fast whereas Alton Towers is gradually loosing popularity because 1.) Their taking too long thesedays to unveil new rollercoasters and secondly the rollercoasters they are opening they've concentrated too much on inovation and making them a worlds 1st and lots of theming etc.. but they havnt been particularly exhilerating rides! Am I alone in thinking that both AIR and Th13teen are both very underwhelming, particularly 13 once you know the drop in the dark is there its no good anymore and Air had that unfinished proto-type feeling when it opened too short and not enougth drops.
  22. Hi guys has anyone been watching the 2nd series of Scream If You Know The Answer? Episodes 3 and 4 comming up on Sunday featuring Denise Van Outen, Jason Gardinar, Neil Morrisey, and Edwina Currie lol
