Cookie Dough - The TN system was totally written internally by the TN team. It's not an open source system which is why they can taylor it with maps etc. Its quite a complex system. edit -- btw it took them, highly experienced coders, literally hundreds of hours to write.

Was on park today (Benjibobs talked me into it), So some construction pics From the toilets at lunch time into hole - lunch time 5pm from the gate 5pm oblivion queue by 5pm the 2nd level with all the rebar in my into the hole pic had been filled with concrete. It was spitting with rain at this point and my camera decided to focus on the rain so these shots not included as they are just uber-blurred.

Photos from today. Too tired for any silly commentaries, just pics. From the toilets From rehidrator

I'm pretty convinced that it wasn't washed away. Mixing concrete so sloppy that it would run away is pretty moronic and also, more importantly, theres nowhere for it to wash away too. The ground is clay based, so reasonably resistant to drainage. You can't see the concrete purely due to the rain washing mud over the set concrete.

Rumours have it that some supports we're delivered on Friday but I've also looked everywhere I can think of and haven't seen any sign. Unless they are hidden in plain sight and don't look like what we think supports are supposed to look like.

And as a special bonus. A couple of photos from this afternoon. Whats that black stuff down there.. Ohh it looks like concrete is coming real soon.

Might as well post this here aswell. OK really quick photos today. I was a dumb-ass and somehow left my camera on in my bag (playing a slideshow of 4000 pics so I only managed to get a few before it died. All are from the top toilets. There was a lot of work removing soil happening but not much more.
  16. What I find daft about this is there are so many BOGOF's and Half Price Ticket vouchers around, that this is actually more expensive. Also, so I have just been informed, it is only available for the smaler parks and not Towers or Thorpe
  17. Johnny -If you have been invited they already think that on paper you can do the job.The idea of an assessment day is ONLY to assess your personality and how you react with others. Go along, have a good time and be proactive with suggestions during team events.
  18. Do you know what. I am now more looking forward to seeing running this during Fright Nights than opening day. Those LED's are going to make it look amazing in the dark.
  19. OK my 2 penneth on audio track. I want something totally contrasting. In films, there are some musical moments that stand out to me heres a couple that you will probably have seen. In Leon when beathoven is playing and everyine gets shot. In Fifth Element, the diva scene. You have the diva singing and them fighting. Both are examples where contrasting music is used to heighten the brutality you see on the screen and odly both have Gary Oldman in. So what I would like is loads of tv sets in the queue line with news articles playing, but with some clasical music counterpointing the violence of the ride and whats shown on the tv.
  20. Thanks for the photo BenC - Having looked at the other photos it seems obvious why the ride is taking so long to get built. Its because there is only one bloke doing any work
  21. shh (don't let the coaster fanatics know that, they will want to ride it)
  22. Thanks for the construction pics Luke Those 'premade footers' look more like drainage constructs to me.

Kevvy. Just go and watch the episodes. There's a couple of really good one's in this season, but as Benin says, it is very timey wimey at times but you really need to watch them in sequence otherwise things don't quite make as much sense.BTW loved the spoiler Benin
  24. My thoughts. It could be impressive but I am exceptionally worried that they will skimp and save here there and everywhere on the theming and the experience will suffer for that. Even though I hear that some elements of the theming have already been purchased and are already at Thorpe (old fire engine, some plane pieces).I am also worried that it will be too short.
