THORPE PARK is not getting a new ride for the 2013 season. I mean variations of rides are a possibility eg X turning forwards Swarm turning backwards. ;-)

There was an announcement above all sections of the forum since the date was decided, this is pretty similar to a 'meet box'. Frankly we have a meet topic and if you're truly interested in coming then you should check those pages on the forum, there is no need to clog up the forum with more boxes. Those who were confirmed as coming were sent a personal reminder over PM with contact details and more. We opted to do the trip backwards because we were most looking forward to the dungeons at the end of the day, that's why you didn't see us.

Intensity is nothing to do with height, as many members prefer Detonator to rides like Apocalypse or maybe Hurakan Condor in PortAventura which is over twice the height. It's all down to the manufacturer. Detonator is manufactured by Fabbri and instead of falling under gravity, it is forced downwards by 4 pistony type things at the top (pneumatics I think), whlilst Intamin drop towers just fall under gravity. Extremis is manufactured by ABC who have very little information on their website regarding how the ride works, but in short the intensity you feel has nothing to do with height.

I can see your point, however I don' t see why you couldn't have set yourself a reminder? It has been in my calendar ever since I knew I could come so that way I didn't make other plans. This is lazieness on your part I'm afraid, there have been more reminders than previous years and I think the PM was the best form of reminder possible. Edit: The posts about there not being enough publicity for the meet have been moved to the dedicated topic here as suggested by Mer.
