  1. I wonder what the actual technicalities of the changing of the 2 back rows consist of?

I would assume B&M would need to be in contact with the park or the ones who modify the trains. I always thought B&M disliked backwards though...and what with X being backwards this seems like a complete waste to me.

  2. In terms of the next big coaster what I would love to see is a B&M hyper coaster or a Intamin Woodie.

With the hyper though a B&M would have to go over 150ft at least, and digging a hole for such a ride would be way too expensive. Maybe they would go for an intamin hyper as it doesnt use so much room?

A woodie would be easier to create a good ride experience with less hight but wasn't there an issue with the ground being too unstable for a woodie? Unless they have sorted that with the hybrid models or steel supports/wooden track.

Aside from those two I'd love to see one of the gerstauler or mack launched rides...think Maverick at CP, that could work well at Thorpe. But overal what they lack for me is an airtime machine.

  3. Then where's the path Ricky? And since when was there a huge hedge? :wacko:Agreed. I can't even fit my feet into Colossus easily anymore. A week ago I went front row, and found it bearable (still rough compared to SAW) and then yesterday I did second row and found it unbearable. I know SAW's rough, but at least SAW is bearable. Colossus is just, pain, pain, and more pain. I can't even enjoy the ride because its so rough; its only good side in my eyes is it's presence in the park. Such a shame, because it is an amazing concept. Just wish it was B&M tbh. Although in fairness, it could be worse. Could be made by Vekoma or Gerslauer ^_^

Really? I find Saw unbearable and Colossus isn't great but bearable.
  4. Dumb question time, but what is wrong with it? Is it the same thing going wrong over and over, or is there a long list of issues with new ones occurring all the time?Surely S+S must be held financially responsible for issues which have never been resolved since installation?

I think it's just that the ride has alot of parts and just isn't designed too well.I have no idea if the other one has the same problems but the ride just seems to be flawed in it's design.
  5. Isn't it jumping the gun a bit to say they're building a new flat in that spot, just because of a few fencing footers...? Why would they be starting with the fence anyway, isn't that generally the last thing during construction? That's not to say I don't think there's a good possibility of a new flat in 2013, but I wouldn't say its necessarily gonna be put there, when I saw it my first impression was that they were building a more permanent queuline for The Asylum maybe? That ride needs to go or be hidden out of site though, it has to be one of the creepiest SBNO rides I've ever seen.

Thinking about it, that would make more sense.I'd suspect a new 2013 flat would go on the new island next to swarm...there was also work going on on that area (diggers and such) on the 15th.
  6. Agree with Mark. There really isn't any other flats that thorpe could get that they haven't already got tbh.I'd personally prefer for them to save the space for future coasters, or get a proper dark ride.
