Along with the confirmed inverted drops you can see the new corkscrew but there is another one before that, so that means two corkscrews and one or maybe 2 inverted drops and the indoor heartline roll, thats 4 or 5 extra inversions so, we are seeing 12 or 13 inversions at least. My big questions are what is "camelback to inline" a new loop for the collection maybe?? And in that photo on the marmaliser spider there is the number 15, could be nothing but if it is I wonder that it could mean??

Sorry to double post but this was posted on towers street its quite interesting: Heard that John Wardley was on Radio Bolton this morning so checked it out. Currently listening back to it - its well worth a listen! He sounds really enthusiastic about the ride and has a lot of interesting things to say! He confirms (in a sort of summary piece + some quotes) - Speaking about nem / air / oblivion - "well our new ride, its going to beat those" Talking about the new ride - "the thing about this, the unique thing, is that whilst rides in the past have played with your body, this "marmalises you" - plays with your mind in 5 "mind manipulating elements" that you experience on the ride. Its more than just a physical rollercoaster" "What weve managed to do is pack more track per m space on this ride than any other in the world" - also confirms the two "lifts" (one of which is vertical) Also comments there are things to disorientate you to make it both physical and mental. Also mentions a worlds first, never been done before - that they are holding back from the public before you ride. Have a listen http://podcast.canstream.co.uk/boltonfm/index.php?page=3 - Mid Mornings top of the page, towards the end of the show (perhaps 4/5ths through)

Some people on tower times have said from the supports there might be at least 12 inversions!! 12!! Again I don't know wether this is true but this is gonna be an inversion monster and will hopefully mean the uk keeps the inversion record off the 11 looping coaster in china plus with all the different types of inversions it doesn't seem as forced as Colossus' 5 heart line inversions.

According to some people on towers street, there are gonna be new inversions just after the lift hills, abit like a zero g roll, they suspect this because the part of the support that connects the track to the support, seem to be positioned in a way that looks like its going into an inversion, these are all rumours though, I'm Getting really excited now.
  5. the only thing that might be preventing me from going is the fact I live in Cardiff which Google tells me is 138 miles away so I'm not sure. mum says now I'm 16 I can do more independent things but I'm not sure if a 3 hour train or bus journey would fit in that bill, my friend does that to meet his father in central london so you never know.

  8. Thanks ryan just wanted to know just incase I do go
  9. I'm not sure if I will be able to go but will I need to buy a fasttrack or is there no point ?
  10. Wouldn't the visitor numbers be affected by the fact 5-6 million people, native and foreign were going to the 2 biggest sporting events on earth, The Olympics and Paralympics, I mean if Swarm was introduced in 2011 or 2013 it probably would of attracted more people because there wouldn't be a massive event distracting people if you can call it that. If a football world cup ever came to Britain again (highly doubt it) and it was the same year as when Thorpe opened a new roller coaster, the park would be dead as all the football fans and chavs will have disappeared (with chavs I'm not saying that's a bad thing) and the park probably would be quieter then normal and Thorpe probably wouldn't hit its target. Seeming the Olympics and Paralympics were on I think Thorpe did quite well

    Oakwood

This is an image of the area they are digging out. Obviously the area will probably be larger then that but its where they are starting.

    Oakwood

I found this on oakwood's website: Oakwood Theme Park is making use of discarded pallets and other waste material to create a series of useful new features including bike sheds and flower planters. The recycling scheme is the brainchild of the Pembrokeshire attractions maintenance managers, Matt Abel. Matts woodworking skills have helped him create a giant set of wooden planters in the shape of a train and a bike shed to encourage more cyclists to visit the theme park. With such a large attraction we are always looking at ways to reduce our waste and increase the amount we are able to recycle, said Matt. We have a number of old wooden pallets on site which werent being used for anything and it seemed a shame to just throw them away so I came up with the idea of creating something useful out of them. The train was made up of old plant boxes that were removed from the park last season, we pressure washed to clean them up and made them in to a little train that has been planted with daffodils and other seasonal flowers to greet guests when entering the park It was a lot of work but I'm really pleased with the results and I cant wait to see what the train flower planters look like when the daffodils start to bloom. Hopefully the fact that we are able to provide a covered shelter for peoples bicycles will also encourage more cyclists to come and visit the theme park, he added. As well as providing visitors with a floral welcome to the park, the wooden train will also act as a barrier to direct guests towards Oakwoods own miniature railway which travels around the park. Oakwood Theme Park has announced ambitious plans for a massive new investment programme for 2013. The Pembrokeshire attraction is to spend more than £4m creating a major new family park area. The new development will feature seven new rides and attractions, including a spectacular water ride alongside a series of childrens play areas and other themed attractions. Pretty much confirms there will be seven rides including a spectacular water ride .... Hopefully It will be.

    Slammer

I've only been on slammer once, due to the fact its broken down all the time but I can see it being there for five more years 7 or 8 at an extreme push. I think eventually soon then later people will lose interest like all rides, personally I like the ride but I think it will go soon

    Oakwood

You never know with the amount of rides being ordered I think there will be at least one thrill ride most likely non rollercoaster that will probably come next year or the year after but ye we can hope although I think there probably will be but even if I'm wrong I'm going either way
  23. EC!

    Oakwood

Thats whats been said to me, but its not 100% yet, they said several rides in the official statement so that's atleast 4 rides, and other money to refurbish but they did that last year and the year before even though it didnt look like much so I still think and actually it says its going to be spend on the new attaractions and area its in. I just wanna know that you guys would like or expect there in terms of rides. other money I going to a new restaurant ,kids play area and gift shop by the way, that is it though
  24. EC!

    Oakwood

Oakwood have ordered the rides and are going to reveal them this month and they will be ready and open by about April/May this year. There are about 5/6/7 rides that Oakwood have ordered, I think there will be some Huss rides like a Frisbee (standard, XL, or Giant but most likely standard) an enterprise (or even one of those Fly Away's) or a top spin. Then I think they will have some Fabbri or Zamperla rides. It would be nice to see a Vekoma boomerang or invertigo but I'm being optimstic. Anyway what does everybody think and what rides do you want there and what do you expect?
