Remember those fir trees that used to do a DAMM good job, covering up SAW and providing a FRICKEN AMAZING experience on Samurai? What caused them to be cut down? Some say it's health and safety issues, but I didnt see the problem in those trees being there!
-
I think Thorpe need to bring in the one liner pro: WHERES TIM VINE WHEN YOU NEED HIM?!
-
I've heard the track's now finished, so I wanna see the first few test runs pretty soon, but at least the screen on The Marmaliser's been tested! Anyone notice the use of SAW - The Ride in the footage? Big mistake AT! The blades in the background give away the whole atmosphere!
-
Anyway, those, including me, who've been on Nemesis at Alton Towers, they may seem to think that maybe Inferno isnt such a great coaster, but in truth, its one of my favourite coasters on park! I mean, who could go wrong with the theming? A more natural looking volcano today, combined with different shades of red, black and green! Some of the best theming on a ride I'd say, along with THE SWARM and SAW. But some could say the theming and the actual ride experience mix very well...
-
Just a shame the queue audio isnt playing. That TOTALLY reved up the atmosphere for the ride!
-
You know those water jets that would soak the riders just as they thought they were safe on calm water? Why dont Thorpe operate them anymore?
-
Out of interest, when does The Smiler actually OPEN in May? I mean, all AT have given us is "May 2013"

Mad Coaster Man has a point; When you look at the drop base, it looks fine, but if the jolt was caused by the wheel, it'll mean you're constantly getting that jolt for the whole ride, unless it IS part of the drop base that causes the wheel to jolt, causing the train to jolt with it. However, BigBobJones mentioned it could depend on where you sit; When I went to Thorpe two days ago, I went on SAW and didnt seem to feel a jolt at the base of the drop, but there are still a few jolts during the remainder of the ride, meaning the wheels could have something to do with it. Am I right?

I dunno about you guys, but I find the restraints another reason why the experience on Colossus could be uncomfortable sometimes. First of all, they dont even go down to your waist, like say, Nemesis Inferno's and Saw - The Ride's do, and secondly, sometimes they could really press down on your legs. I had to learn that the hard way a few years ago!
-
You have a point, because it could actually be the wheels. Yesterday I was riding in the front car (not front row however) and the experience was pretty rough, whereas in other rows, the experience is a bit smoother...
-
I could have sworn Colossus' track was gonna get a new lick of paint. Obviously not, cos there's still rust on the track, making the experience a bit rough in places
-
WOAH WOAH WOAH... Why has a SAW - The Ride discussion suddenly turned into a Colossus and Stealth discussion?! Anyway, is it true SAW will be getting a retheme in 2015? If so, what they'd BETTER do is replace the drop base and make sure it doesnt sink into the ground afterwards, like the one we painfully experience today!

I don't think the billboards been themed to make it seem its been dumped by the swarm, so what's a London style billboard doing parked right next to a church? Doesn't make any sense
-
I heard the news from one of my friends
-
DAMN CHESSINGTON NEIGHBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOURRRRRSSS!!!! Honestly are these neighbours EVER gonna quit complaining? Same for Alton Towers
-
Now I've seen a picture of both sides of the billboard; the other side has "Take a Flight into Paradise", although 'paradise' has 'HELL' graffitied over it!
-
I heard the vamp's getting a new (and quiter) chain lift system soon
-
First of all, I'm NOT calling John a moron, as he was in semi retirement at the time of the retheme so he didnt have a chance to have his say about the retheme. Secondly, why WOULD I call John a moron? He's freakin amazing! I'm pretty sure it was someone else who was responsible for the retheme from what ive heard of... However, when I said "Bring back Professor Burp", it could've meant two things; one is to just bring back the original fizzy drinks themeing, but as RideAddict said, they may not retheme it EXACTLY to Prof Burp, so secondly they could just retheme it to something similar to Professor Burp that will actually blend in with Transylvania

If there were awards for the best music at Chessington, Vampire, Tomb Blaster, Wild Asia and Bubbleworks will win EVERY ONE
-
It's been open for 23 years, but nowadays, people are coming off it with the usual faces of sheer boredom and disappointment. Why? Because of the one moron who came up with the idea of the retheme of a stupidly popular dark ride to an even stupider soap factory theme! Honestly, what does that have to do with Transylvania at all? Professor Burp's Bubbleworks was, without a doubt, the best out of the two. John Wardley had even said that the ride is there to make you feel you're in a comic book, hence the animatronics, cartoons and, of course, huge amount of puns and humour on the ride!(Remember "Hic-Cups" and the "Orange Squash Courts"?) Are there any puns in the Imperial Leather Bubbleworks today? The answer is very, VERY simple...NO! NO! NO and NO! The music for Prof Burp! I just can't describe it's awesomeness! The office music is literally in my head 24 HOURS A DAY!!! All I can say is, THANK GOD it's still in the ride today! However, the ONLY negative for Professor Burp was that the first Burp animatronic TOTALLY creeped me out! I mean, I only experienced Burp when I was 5 and when we floated past the office scene, suddenly, Burp's head just FREEFALLS to the side! (I could've sworn his eyes were revolving as well!) You can also imagine what it would be like if Burp's HEAD revolved! Moving onto Imperial Leather, all I can say is, this is gonna be one HELL of an argument! First of all, Tussauds were responsible for the retheme and you proably want to know the reason: MONEY! They transformed a popular and amusing dark ride into a boring and POINTLESS dark ride...FOR MONEY! They got money from the popularity of Professor Burp anyway! Also, as I said somewhere above, Professor Burp had a TON of puns, jokes and laughs. Imperial Leather? NONE! This is the ONE reason people are coming off the ride slightly...NO...VERY BORED INDEED! And what about the theming? The station for Professor Burp had TONS: Crates of fruit, posters advertising his drinks ("Luminous Pop: The Bedtime Drink you can Read By", "Hip-Hop Pop: A New Record by those Rascals of Pop" ect.), what about that GLORIOUS background? The sunset, the mountains, the houses, was it how they looked, THAT CAUSED IT TO BE TORN DOWN??? Now it's been replaced with an extremely poorly detailed background! Looking on the bright side though, at least the lovable BubbleHeads were kept! But what happened in 2005 must have been Chessington's WORST moment in HISTORY. John Wardley's retiring soon, but if anyone from Chessington WoA is reading this, not only me, but others are screaming this: BRING BACK PROFESSOR BURP, GOD DAMMIT!!! Professor Burp- Gone with the Wind R.I.P: 1990-2005...But he'll return...someday...somehow...he will...

the fact theres a dark ride section, but that layout is currently unknown just makes the ride seem MORE and MORE AWESOME! I CANT WAIT!

Can a Coaster in the UK be the 'Next Nemesis'?
Kerfuffle commented on JoshC.'s blog entry in The C. View
Honestly, how many Nemesis' does the UK need? I mean, take a look at this timeline: 1994: Nemesis, Alton Towers 2003: Nemesis Inferno, Thorpe Park 2012: Nemesis Sub-Terra, Alton Towers
