  1. Hey ya'll, just popped by to see what's new.....so it is an immersive tunnel after all?
  2. Thank goodness I have you here to yet again point out how wrong I have been. I'd be making blunder after blunder without your guidance and correction, so reliably I don't even have to ask for it. I shall try harder in the New Year to not embarrass myself and the community quite so frequently.
  3. Ain't it depressing when you ask a member of staff a question and you know more about the park then they do?
  4. Which then limits your hiring demographic to retirees and students. Not that those groups are incompetent but you'd really like some people in physical peak but also peak maturity. At least, I would.
  5. We'll pay for it when it's built by coming to the park to ride it. Supply then demand.
  6. Even so the potential for hours is significantly less. A person who had been working at the park a few years on zero hours could probably look at all the closure weeks and work out how much they stand to lose. Might be off putting for some, ideal for others I guess.
  7. Won't this limit the amount of staff who can actually make a viable wage off being an employee though. That's a lot of hours cut.
  8. It's a missed opportunity is what it is. I can hear the steam train at the local zoo running all year long, Brit's love trains. And that one is extra charge on top of admission tickets.
  9. Good thing no one overreacted to the announcement that it would be closed.
  10. Well, to be fair would the level of investment Disney parks put into their attractions actually pay off for Merlin? I mean there is no theme park tourism in the UK. The majority of visitors each year are from the UK. Even guests staying in the hotels don't lay down the same amount someone spending a family vacation in Disneyland Florida would. Merlin get good gate figures for what they have on offer, but they'd probably go under if they tried to compete with the International parks with the current attendance they get. And people that visit Merlin parks accept the smaller scale and quality becuase they are aware they haven't flown off to a destination park. It will be extremely interesting to see how Paramount Park can change the UK's theme park industry.
  11. Could there maybe possibly be a link between Stealth being closed it being the most densely foggy day of the year?
  12. And that's why I asked electricBill the innocuous question, to find out what he meant.
  13. Excellent to hear they responded to the antisocial behavior efficiently. Just a real shame for the well behaved people visiting Wednesday.
  14. The only event happening over the summer that's public knowledge is the Smiler incident so I thought possibly maybe it was in reference to Merlin budgets. After all even Chessington had to make modifications as a result of that. But I don't see why I need to be called out for asking for more information. It's not like I made any kind of bombastic misinformed statement about the situation.
  15. Are you referring to the Smiler incident or something else that happened?
  16. Revenge of the Rangers, Canada Creek Railway to Hell, Octopus Garden of Zombie Tots!
  17. Try going on ebay and finding the same voucher type for sale, the full T&S should be in the sellers listings.
  18. Know what would be really scary to find in Cabin? One of those out of work actors from a former Whedon project....playing themselves!
  19. I bet they have to be pretty selective who they ask that. Make a bad call on whose 18 and you're in big trouble.
  20. As much as I wasn't into it I feel Dr.Who would have been a far stronger brand and bigger draw.
  21. But that's what magic has always been. Optical illusions, mind tricks, science. "The hand is quicker than the eye", and all that jazz and showmanship.
  22. I don't recall singing the praises of every other IP Thorpe have ever used. Am I not allowed to critique one without throwing shade at them all? I really can't comment on Angry Birds, that brand isn't exactly intended for me. But as for Saw the franchise was kinda at it's peak when the ride was built and as a stand alone horror theme for a ride it works. You don't have to have seen a single Saw film to get the story of the ride, serial killer/maniacal contraptions/scary ride, done. Sorry, I've just always hated magicians.
  23. No. TV magicians/hypnotists are so over.
