Yes, I have the new pass which I got from the london dungeon with a pass voucher. It is absolutely fine, works for all discounts, all entry etc. The question is, why do the maps from chessie NOT work? And this is a question I think no be has the anwser too.... Maybe they should stop issuing maps at chessie?
-
Me too! It is really unlikely to get one though...
-
Sorry bout that, didn't realise who you were going with! And yes, I don't really get how this works either, if you have a family of 4 why can't you buy 2 and 2 to get extra donuts? I'm not sure how it works but maybe when you are eating they will only let you give one family ticket so maybe you should stick with the safe option!
-
Well then you wouldn't qualify as a family would you

I have absolutely no clue, maybe on top of the billboard I thought something like stealth would be chosen as it suits it more.

Yes it did thanks, I was just wondering whether it was worth a trip when it opened being up in Kent and all -
Mmmm maybe... I didn't think of that! I do have a main point linking on to this though, what have they ACTUALLY done to X except turning the trains forward, adding lights, changing the music and a couple of other things? Nothing. Even though the 'new' X is better than the old one, it is disappointing to me(this is all based off a pov I watched) and I was expecting more out of it. I think the actual ride experience is great but it is just the lead up to it which is poor. Signs still saying X no way out around the pyramid, old rotting wooden fences, old arrows and lights. I think I am more impressed with nemesis infernos queue line improvements than X. I would have liked to see new funky, colour changing lights, old arrows taken down and replaced with new ones, signs to be replaced, fences to be replaced with some nice metal ones. And even if thorpe didn't have time to do all of this(which I think they did) I hope they do make the experience better in years to come.... Just on the topic of fences, why does thorpe only use wooden fences, not metal ones?

I just found out about paramount park a couple of weeks ago and took a look at the plans but they didn't help me at all; all I know is that it is meant to be studio based 'theme park' and it will have europes largest water park. Anyway, let me get to my point, it is meant to be a rival of Disneyland Paris but will it have any thrill attractions like it or thorpe park etc? Thanks guys. -
They have had all of the closed season and an extra month to get X ready and leaving things like old signs etc. is not up to standard... It is not a case of it being closed as they had ages to do it(4th November-27th march) so they really should be done. I don't actually see much 'improvement' in the queue line it is only the ride itself which has been done up. I do have to admit this, it completely spoils the ride momentum, I haven't ridden it forwards yet however the stops were stupid when it went backwards. Even though they are stupid, they are there for a reason and it is the only way of having a high throughput..
-
So probably like 1 or 2 swings at the top right? I have only ever had 4 swings and I still thought that was pretty short!
-
So how many full swings at the very top?

I can't see what was wrong with the old themeing so why are they getting rid of it? I also can't see how they can open up dragons falls for the rest of the season with no themeing- I think chessie should just close it for the rest of the season and work on it instead of opening it with barely any themeing whatsoever.
-
Well I know this is a different kind of coaster but at eastcote funderpark they have a spinning wild mouse and I think that is operating fine. I am not 100% sure though so if anyone knows just give a shout I don't see why rattlesnake cannot be opened but at the end of the day it is chessie's choice and we can't do anything about it!
-
Thanks, I am quite lucky as I saw a voucher on ebay(£80) for an annual pass and I bought it! I then got to exchange and now I am in my year of theme park action Have a great time this weekend

I have an annual pass and I am a big theme park fan

Alright guys thats it! You can still add your votes but they will not be counted- tomorrow I will be adding a new ride which you guys can vote on Flying circus scored a miserable 30%. Ovbiously TPM don't want it
-
It could have been different settings but I also realised that some of the seats spin faster than others. It seems that only 4 seats have been oiled and are spinning much faster than the others- it is ovbious to tell which seats spin faster so it is better to sit on those ones

The thorpe park queue time app should work if you are at the park- if you cannot access the app however you can go on their mobile site which will let you see all the queue times. I don't use it but it should be working

I think it has to be something like 4degrees for Colossus and saw to run. So you should be absolutely fine there as the forecast is for 8/9 degrees. They might have a slight late opening but they should be open on the weekend. Rain does not affect the rides in any way(except samurai) but the forecast is not for rain anyway. As I said, all the rides should be up and running this weekend, today it is 3degrees though so Colossus and saw are closed. Have a great time

TPM stands for thorpe park mania The Sunday is likely to be less busy than the Saturday because that's just how weekends usually go but because its the holidays I cannot judge the queue times. However, it hasn't been too bad over the week so far as none of the rides(except X) have reached over a 60 minute queue with most being 30 mins or less. X will not have a long queue though on the weekend because it will be back on four trains. I advise you to have a look at the queue times, if it seems ok then go in and if it doesn't, get a fastrack, they generally don't sell out quickly. Just a note, the queue time boards have been weird this Easter, they have been displaying 45 minute queues when the queue is actually 5 mins. Even if the queue is displayed as long, go into the queue and if it doesn't look very long(the majority of all the queues are outside, with saw having a small indoor queue section) then you should go on the ride. If a ride breaks down for some reason there will be an announcement and you can either stay in the queue till it is fixed or leave, depending on if you want to wait or not. I don't think the queues should be too bad and of course at the beginning and end of the day do the rollercoasters because they will have short queues! During the day, it may be quite busy however most of the rides should be under 30 mins with the coasters maybe longer. However, you can never predict queues at a theme park and for all I know it could be empty on Saturday and Sunday. Have fun
-
Yes, the weather can affect a few of the rides such as Colossus and saw- they have not been open for a while now due to the weather being so cold however if it warms up over the weekend they will open up also technical problems can make queues longer and other queues longer aswell because people will leave the queue and join another one. All I can say, is good luck on the rides being open and have fun

I have never bought a bounceback myself however I think you can use 2-4-1 tickets as when you use the 2-4-1 voucher to get park tickets, you each get an adult entry ticket. Then to buy bounceback, you just show your adult entry ticket so I don't think there will be a problem there All the terms and conditions are here: http://www.thorpepark.com/misc/terms-and-conditions.aspx#bounceback and it does not mention anything about 2-4-1 so you should be fine
-
You can't judge whether to get fastpasses or not until you have seen the queue times. I also have another week holiday after this weekend so it must depend on what school etc. Have fun at thorpe and make sure you try all the rides P.S when buying your park entry tickets ask for a park map because it will help you find your way round
