I think anything can happen to be honest in the next few years, I know this is getting a bit off topic but is all the designing for thorpe parks rollercoasters/rides done by a separate design team, not merlin? I was just wondering because with merlin being sold off we could be seeing a complete different approach and I really wonder what is happening to the merlin annual pass! For all we know thorpe park could be sold to another company and taken off the merlin pass! If that happened I would complain and ask for a full refund... But I can't see thorpe being sold of any time soon.Also I kinda think in my head that chessington has a bigger chance of getting a woodie than thorpe, but I wouldn't mind seeing a b&m flyer or something cool at thorpe

Yea but my friends don't so I am getting them so I can have someone to go with I didn't know there was ever alton towers ones but I heard about the thorpe ones last year after it had ended but I will definately take advantage of all these offers in the future!I'm also worried that I will get a school day and will not be able to attend but in that case I may end up selling the tickets on ebay or something

I feel desperate to go in now but I bet I am gonna get scared fright night is also on the cards this year for me aswell... I am going in 30 minutes but can anyone tell me if it is like a maze where you have to find your way out or is there a clear way to go? Right guys, I'm off to Madame Tussaud's tomorrow and I was wondering if you could give me some advice? I was wondering how scary scream was and if it was suitable for me(I'm 12) and if it was too scary for me to go in on my own as my friend does not want to venture in because he found the mazes at fright night really horrible! Also is the taxi ride violent, scary or has any drops because I was just wondering what I'm in for Thanks guys

I visited chessington for a zoo day today, I realised how nice it was for once. Even though it was in maintenance the park was amazing and I love the zebras!! I really realised how nice chessington was.... And I waited 0 mins for bubbleworks!!! Record!

My guess is they will give X a major shout out even if it is a really rubbish refurb.... I have been thinking though, if the rumours of ministry of sound sponsoring it meaning that X will become a ride with strobe lights and loud music it is not really going to be for the young kids- my guess is they are going to do something special to X but only time will tell

Looks great I had a look on the website at all the rooms and I am glad to see some new ones which I have not experienced including the descent and Sweeney Todd looks awesome better make a trip down there then! Does anyone know if you buy the early saver tickets, do you get the priority entrance because it won't let me book a time slot for my friend and it does not say if you get priority- this will decide whether we early or late book! Well if thorpe do change to a family-orientated theme park they better keep all the big rides including samurai rush vortex stealth swarm saw etc!

Has anyone noticed that on this page they have also changed all the ride descriptions like the swarm one has been changed adding on 'now brave it backwards' on the end! Slammer also used to be 'brave the full-throttle rotating freefall experience' but is now ' get slammed on our human sky swat!' I don't know if there is a reason for these changes but I sense something fishy going on Also saw the ride However just looking at X I have noticed that X is now 'the ultimate challenge for thrill seekers in the making' after it used to be 'the ride that takes no prisoners' this is definately showing something about X, my guess is a lowering in height restriction and a retheme My main thing is though, are thorpe trying to re-orientate around families like they used to?

I have been thinking about the swarm's rows being turned backwards and it just seems unreal! Can't wait to ride it in a couple of months

Well guys with the 2013 season coming up and X is being hinted by thorpe to be rethemed I thought I would discuss what I would like to happen to it: Firstly the name needs to be changed, the fact that it is called 'X no way out' does not make any sense as there is a way out, originally going into this attraction I thought it was a maze which would be really hard to find my way out of! A good retheme would be nice but seeing as thorpe like pop music I guess we will be seeing it sponsored by ministry of sound, this means Nicki Minaj in a high pitched voice The trains to be turned forwards, that was partly why so many people disliked the ride and it also means we can get the height restriction down which means smaller people can get on another ride! The queueing system sorted, it is such a big pyramid for such a small coaster and even though the queue line is massive they make you wait in some sort of garden area which is stupid! Sort it out thorpe let us queue inside! Overall, as long as it has a good theme I'm fine with it, I just don't like the fact that it doesn't have a proper theme and you don't even understand what the ride is about inside that pyramid!

The premiere launch is in April so maybe you could get tickets to that? I'm not sure how it works though!

No one said X wasn't being updated I had to queue 30 mins for it once and that was a bore in that stupid garden area! I guess we will have some sort of double facing cameras but I think it is getting a bit stupid now, the onride video was a good idea but if they can't have it on two rows(ones which people are going to want to go on most) then they are going to have a decrease in videos sold but an increase in fastracks sold. I think front and back row need some sort of cameras like saw do(if they are ever working either) on the bars infront of the carriage, if thorpe could do something like that at least all the rows could have onride cameras! The effects are kind of stupid, I have never been when the fire effect is working and I watched a video on youtube and it only actually works on half the rides so you have to be lucky to get it and also the water skimmers have never worked when I have been there, a real disappointment! However, at least they are trying to keep them working(I hope) because on saw the effects are working all the time and if swarm can be like that it will be epic! I also hope tidal wave will get the fire effect back...

Actually the website just says the swarm HAS mutated. So I think it will still be called the swarm... I am actually excited about this, I have never been on a backwards rollercoaster with inversions so this should be good The only problem is everyone will be queueing for back row meaning that you will have to wait for ages to get on or you can buy a back row fastrack for £8! YEY! When I visit on an empty day(hopefully) this year, I still think that the swarm will have a long queue but life goes on. I really wanna go in the very back row because you will be able to see where your going, but backwards! I am so excited for the swarm!

Thanks mate will go there first thing when I am visiting I got my pass today and It was awesome! Even though it cost £16 it was worth the money because I had £7 of drinks (according to donut stall prices) I have to say the straw is a bit annoying and does not always work and the capsule leaks a little but otherwise they are awesome- even in the chicken resturant they let me fill up with my capsule I reccomend getting one if you drink lots because they end up turning great value for money!

The tilt inclined loop counts as an inversion although it doesn't seem like one, just like the overbanked turn on saw except that isn't counted as an inversion- hard to tell what is an inversion and what is not because on that inclined loop you do not go upside down!

Did you get them from chessington zoo days? If so where did you get it from(which shop) because I am visiting and don't want to be searching around to find out where to buy a drinks capsule!
