  1. Air

pognoi replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
The thing about people these days is that they are convinced that bigger is almost always better. Of course, this is not the case for a large percent of the time. Air may not be a gforce full coaster, but it sure is fun. It smooth and fairly unique, as it spends alot of time upside down. Manta and others are fairly pulling, and for some are less of a good experience. I prefer air because it wasnt made to pull you into your restraint, but to make you have fun, and have a unique experience. Its goal is original, and not to be THE SUPER MAHOOSSIVE BESTIST RIDE WITH 5GS EVA LEL. Thats why air is good. It aint rough or pulling, but is one hell of a fun time.
  2. Yeah, the normal system when I go with a mate on an Inset day (teacher training day, when we get a day off school mid term) is the swarm, then stealth, then Colossus, then the rest.
  3. Looks like one hell of a ride! I love the inversions. Lots of Circles. Its gotta nice flow, and that first airtime hump looks suweet!
  4. Yes, I think that would be fairly logical. Haha, Queue bots are alot more then that, and to be totally honest, I find them fairly useless. The only thing I see that could go wrong is getting stuck in a geniune queue, and then your slot runs out digitally. I have found in the past (visiting DLP) that queuing through paper takes the thrill away from the rides. There's lesser build up, and less of a moment before hand, where you start getting nervous and excited.
  5. Going this Friday. I am so happy to go again, I've only been once before. Was wondering if it was worth buying fast passes in advance or waiting until we got there. Also, Being a Merlin pass holder, I was wondering if when I booked tickets for my mate (using the family and friends passholder perk) would he get ERT too?
  6. Good point. A couple weeks back (not sure if this has been mentioned) TP posted on their facebook about a wooden rollercoaster. You can see on google earth that there is quite a bit of space for Thorpe to play with where rocky express used to be, and besides stealth. Maybe building another Island in either of these two areas could create space for a good sized rollercoaster. My hopes are an RMC woody. Smooth, able to have inversions. It would be cool to see it in the rocky express area, it would fit neatly into the western theme, and to see something compact would be pretty cool too.
  7. Its interesting. If people had common sense and went there, they'd queue up digitally on all the rides, then wait until the busiest time of day and do them all queue free. It would be interesting to see if that worked (are you allowed to save your ticket along time after its gone to your time?) and if they'd keep it free.
  8. Thanks guys. Bit of a TPer myself, I've already been 4 times this year and went 7 times last year. Its my local one. Cant wait though!
  9. Hey guys, so I have a premium annual pass (merlin) and I am taking 2 friends to thorpe park on the second of september. I booked tickets through the family and friends passholder perk, and we bought fastpasses. I wasnt aware that chessington had early ride times, but they bought it up. I now know that both chessington and Alton towrs have ERT, but I was wondering if thorpe park does, and if (through the way I booked the tickets) my friends can have it too? Thanks!
