  1. Unless another section of the queueline runs inside the perimeter of the concrete base? It was hectic on Saturday - the busiest I'd ever seen Drayton Manor. It took us nearly two hours to get in (and we were early), with all rides having a queue time of more than an hour. This was the first time I'd actually seen Shockwave's outside cattlepen packed, with the queue still trailing towards the entrance of SF10. Anyway, I didn't get on much, but it was a great day, and the vibe was there. This needs posting tbh
  2. Perhaps, but I prefer to go on facts rather than speculation. We'd all love a Mack coaster at Drayton, but let's face it, would their budget allow for such a class ride? At best I'm guessing a Vekoma or Intamin...quite possibly the latter, considering the park has a good relationship with the company anyway.
  3. Ahahaha, dream on, matey. Dream on.
  4. I'm not disputing the fact that Drayton are getting a launch coaster over the lake, we already know that, I'd simply like some solid evidence to support the claims this new coaster will be built by Mack... Here's a construction update on the new Air Race:
  5. ...and those Never did understand what all that was about with the monkey on a bike, mind. I do love that theme tune!
  6. Perhaps you'd be kind enough to enforce this claim with some solid evidence or official plans? So far we've heard from two reliable sources regarding future projects at the park - One included a launch coaster over the lake (I don't ever recall Colin Bryan revealing the coaster would be manufactured by Mack), and as revealed to a member of CoasterForce by the park owner himself, Drayton would be getting an Air Race...which we're currently seeing undergoing construction.
  7. Smidget nailed it really. The inside seats offer a superb ride IMO. That launch is just incredible, as is the inline twist <3
  8. Drayton Manor Alton Towers Thorpe and Chessie (finally!) Seriously considering Liseberg this year as well.

Same here! It was always one of those rides I could take or leave TBH. I never found it excruciatingly painful (Compared to the likes of G Force), but I wouldn't rush to queue for it, either. On the bright side, I guess we still have three rides in a major area, two of which are the park's top class coasters/attractions.
  10. Drayton Manor never said anything about a Mack coaster
  11. Indeed: http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/local-news/new-drayton-manor-hotel-plan-4864424 There are three perfectly good, well priced hotels up the road anyway.
  12. Unfortunately I never got to ride it, but Black Revolver sounded like one awesome ride <3
  13. Wasn't an Air Race planned for the Black Revolver site? Either way, they blew their budget on that monorail thing for Thomasland, and I'm not sure what the situation is with this proposed second hotel.

Hmm, well I went last Monday and actually thought that, aside from Carnival of Screams, the others mazes let the side down. I definitely noted the lack of various odours in The Sanctuary. The fireball was also missing in the day room scene. Perhaps this had something to do with us being the first batch of visitors through? TotT felt very underwhelming. The highlight for me was most definitely Carnival of Screams. I'm sure there are one or two new scenes that have been added. It was just a great laugh from start to finish. Ironic that the best maze should also be the free one as well. Unfortunately we didn't have time to do The Smiler in the dark, but it looked amazing <3
  15. I'm really hoping the "Flasher" actually does something at night. Maybe the best is yet to come as far as the ride experience goes...
