  1. Saw I, II, and III are my favourites, V and VI are my least favourite, but I like how all the storylines connect with each other by the last film. I like all the films, and I like watching them with people who have never seen them. Saw IT the day after opening, loved it, found the scares quite comical, acting was great, Skarsgård was fantastic as Pennywise, some bigger events in the books were covered in the films that weren't covered in the miniseries. My biggest issue was that it sometimes felt like you were just waiting for Pennywise to appear on screen, but that might just be a huge compliment to Skarsgård's portrayal of the character. Hoping to head back to the cinema and see IT again, so really enjoyed it!
  2. They're recommending it this year, and no use of friends and family or share the fun vouchers after 19th October... I didn't go last year cause I moved up north, but I felt the year before was pretty bad, especially with Tulley's Farm not that far away. Plus, two mazes using the same IP is still lazy as hell
  3. Is this the laziest Fright Nights event yet? Two mazes based on the same IP. Why can't Thorpe do Fright Nights without using IPs? The event has been going down hill very fast since the loss of The Asylum. The opposite can be said of Towers, who have improved year on year. And yet, no IPs. Also, now premium pass holders have to pay to reserve a place for Fright Nights now, and that used to be free. Aren't the passes expensive enough? Urgh.
  4. Death Note... If we can't respect the source material at all, why are we making a live action version of one of the best anime shows ever? None of the important plot points from the anime were used, only one character even resembled what he should have been like, and I'm talking about the way he acts, not the way he looks, I wasn't even remotely bothered about that. I'm not angry, just very, very disappointed. 3/10
  5. Good, I hope they actually make some effort! Towers actually did really well last year, I hope they follow a HOM style maze, themed, fun, not too scary... I'm just doubtful
  6. I could, and probably will, theme my front door, for Halloween, better than they've attempted to theme this new maze entrance... That's embarrassing
  7. The VVitch was terrible, nothing happened, the characters were either annoying or as 2D cardboard cut out as you can get. I'm just waiting for another film that does things as well as The Babadook tbh
  8. I'm not sure we watched the same film... The scares were genuine, the visuals as creepy as I hoped, everything interlocked well, and it had great little nods to other films and real life. Annabelle: Creation was fab, Annabelle was terrible, it's up there with the worst films big production companies have released. What were you expecting exactly? It's a film about a haunted doll, not the most revolutionary idea, it was great for what it was... It Comes At Night was a far bigger disappointment for me, I left the cinema not even sure if I liked it. Gimme a good old haunted house film over these frankly terrible art films that have become popular recently. Looking at you The VVitch.
  9. See, I've not had a good experience at Fright Nights.... ever.... I've always found the mazes laughable, with horrific queues, and had actors get a little to handsy on a couple of occasions, the make up looks cheap, theming looks cheap, and in general there just isn't the quality. Scarefest however, I've had one of the scariest experiences of my life, Sub Terra almost completely alone last year? Yeah, that was scary, and I would have been happy to pay for it again! I paid for Pasaje 3 times, on 2 different visits, and that's £7 a go. However, all completely off topic, because Chessie isn't going to suit mazes like Thorpe or Towers, it's not that kind of park.
  10. Of course, if they stopped over selling tickets, that might help... But like I said, I'm happy to pay for quality, but there really isn't the space for much in Creepy Caves, if I'm paying £6 without discount for a maze, I want some length, Pasaje is a great example! And again, it makes little to no sense given the target market
  11. I would personally be fuming if I had to pay a penny more for any of the mazes at Thorpe, I don't mind paying for quality, but Thorpe's mazes are anything but quality. I doubt, especially considering where this attraction is going to be, that it will have the length, theming or scares that would make me part with money, unlike Towers
  12. Have you done the Towers mazes? They're really quality, some of the best mazes on offer in the country, it's also a park with an adult audience and makes sense! Chessie is a kids park, with maybe 2 thrill rides at most, none of this fits in with the park, great big Merlin CASH GRAB
  13. Whatever that thing is, it's a paid extra, what the hell Merlin? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  14. Chessie have had fairly dark mazes in the past, but mostly, this will be Merlin realising that Halloween is super busy, and people like scares, and with no care but for money, throwing in an attraction that makes no sense in terms of the park's target audience... 15. After a little bit of digging, I have actually managed to find it, some of it isn't ghost stories, but just damn creepy rumours https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1897955870471056&id=1477886969144617
  16. Whilst browsing Facebook, I came across a video of some creepy stories from Disneyland California, and I was wondering if anyone else has a creepy ghost story or two from any theme parks? I've read some stories about the ruins at Towers, but not specifically about rides. If this isn't in the right place, please move it to wherever it belongs!
  17. Oh boy, and the Muslim taxi drivers who got people to safety out of the goodness of their hearts, the Muslim nurses and doctors who turned up to work through the night even though they weren't on shift in the first place and the countless Muslim people who opened their homes, drove people in their transport and donated their blood, they're all out to 'kill non believers'. These scumbags don't stand for Islam, they're sick, twisted individuals who would claim it was in the name of any religion or political view they believed in, because they are nasty murderers. 18. I could possibly understand the outrage if they were actually paying for the flats, however, they're not. I am. As is every tax payer in the UK. If it's that detrimental to your children's lives, ask the council to move you, or get a job and pay for your own flat away from the park that was built around the same time as the flat you live in. 19. Actually, according to RCDB it's 205.1 feet [emoji6] The only thing that really angers me as an enthusiast is telling non-enthusiasts what I do for fun to be told that my hobby is 'childish' or 'pathetic'... always comes from middle aged people, who collect things like glass or plates - oh the irony!
  20. I just want to dedicate a shout out to the It trailer that has just emerged, it looks great and like it'll stick even closer to the book than the original tv film, genuinely excited to see it, and it's been approved by the master himself, Stephen King!
  21. It's a supernatural thriller, not a documentary? Why does it have to be a 100% accurate depiction? It's supposed to be far fetched! Is American Psycho an accurate depiction of psychopaths? No, it's not. Does that mean it's not a good film? Also no, it's pretty damn awesome. Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

  23. It just feels too short, like it needs one more element to complete it... It's still fab though!
  24. 1. Oz'iris 2. Nemesis 3. Taron 4. The Ultimate 5. Wodan 6. Blue Fire 7. Oblivion 8. Baron 1898 9. Troy 10. Goliath (Walibi Holland) It's a bit of a mixed bag, but I still have a few big coasters to do in Europe, so that will change things... And I stand by my decision that Oz'iris is better than Nemesis, because Nemesis is great but is just missing one little thing that would make it perfect. Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
