Omg, I tried to watch this earlier this year! I'm almost finished working through the common 'disturbing' films. (So ones that appear on most of the lists on google) But I just could not watch this, not because it was gross, but because with it being black and white and the contrast being so strong, I can't actually see what I'm watching. It's infuriating! Anyway, an actual film review... Goodnight Mommy (Ich Seh Ich Seh) 2014 I'd heard a lot about this one, but found it strangely difficult to get on dvd with English subtitles. Finally found a German version on eBay with English subs. 'Twin boys move into a new home with their mother who has had face changing cosmetic surgery, but under the bandages is someone the boys don't recognise.' This was a beautiful film, with great acting. In parts it can be quite gritty, and it was on the verge of disturbing. It also has a great little twist, which took the film from okay to good. The ending is a little confusing, and nothing is expressly said as to whether or not it's the real mother, which has led to some interesting theories on the IMDB message boards. So, you know, come to your own conclusions. I really enjoyed this one, although I know it won't be as effective on a second watch. 7/10.

I'm pretty sure that almost all parks who offer a Disabled Access Pass just go with any condition that would register someone disabled in the eyes of the health service/government. And I looked on the Drayton Manor website to see what they offer in regards to a ride access pass, anyone who would struggle to use a normal queue line, as in, someone who can't see the queue line, or in a wheelchair, is eligible. I would be. Lol. Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

I'm really disappointed in the line up, BWP is exactly like the film - nothing happens. CITW is a good concept but always poorly executed, it gets far too busy inside. Saw needs to include all 7 films this year, and then it needs to go. Big Top was laughable last year, and the queuing system even more so. I didn't get to do Containment cause the day we went only VIPs were allowed on it. I like the fact we have a new maze, I was also confused as to how it'd be on the train track, but BWP was still around. To be very honest, I might give my money to Towers this year... How much of the year are the hotels sold out? Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

Europa sell out their hotels a lot as well, they have 5 hotels... They don't hike up the prices. Plus, the hotels are far better quality. I've stayed at Splash Landings, the Chessington Hotel and 3 of the 5 Europa hotels.

That is just summing up what I did say, which is that if Merlin lowered their prices, looked after their rides, and stopped overselling everything, guests would be happier and happier guests means more profit. Unfortunately, Merlin just want to shortcut everything. Simple things like bundling fast trackers with disabled pass holders (like myself) so they have to queue for longer than needed, only having one train on the track for certain rides that get long queues and could probably do with starting with two, hiking up prices, closing rides and of course delaying projects - rather than doing what Phantasialand did and just announcing an opening date when they're 100% sure it'll be ready. It's the little things that make guests happy. Take one look at the DBGT posts on Facebook, the comments from the public are scathing. People booked tickets because they confirmed it would be open, and then delayed it, now said people are very angry. Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

Okay, but, and hear me out... Merlin's hotel prices ARE way too high! I can do two nights at Europa in a 4* hotel for the same price as staying in a storage crate for one night. That sounds ridiculous, plus I could do two days on park at Europa for the same price as one day at Thorpe. Why should I sugar coat my criticism? They aren't sugar coating their prices...

I had actually, being a bit sick, always wanted to do McKamey Manor, when I was diagnosed with my disability, I knew they'd never let me in. Forced eating sounds a bit grim to me, but the rest? Well I've had my fair share of being grabbed by scare actors, pushed against walls, them trying to trip me up or running knives down my back, and hair pulling... Sounds like a laugh, not at £65 though! Wtf is that about?! Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

I really don't understand how being 2nd anything means we can't criticise them. Look at the other parks in Europe, not owned by Merlin, Efteling and Europa spring to mind. Rides are well maintained for the most part, the parks are pretty and well themed and guests are happy. They don't overcharge for hotels, because over £200 to stay in a storage crate for a night is frankly ridiculous, and park tickets are cheaper. The only thing Merlin care about is money, which is why they keep hiking up the prices (Towers I'm looking at you) when they've closed a lot of rides. It's why they oversell fast tracks. It's why they will sell more Fright Nights/Scarefest tickets than they can actually manage, and specifically Fright Nights will end up with 2+ hour queues for everything. What Merlin don't understand is that people will spend more money when they're happy, happy guests = more profit. Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

Oh, that made me chuckle! I mean like designing the mazes, I'd change everything. What they don't realise is that using IP mazes, they get old and stale quite quickly. CITW is a few years old now, the rest even older (film wise). MBV wasn't a very good film so how are you going to make a decent maze from it?Side story, one of my friends decided that there weren't enough actors in a maze we did a few years back, and hid in a corner. Promptly an actor came and started to shout at him in German :') Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

Last year, the best event I went to was Scarefest at Towers, and I did 5 events within the month... It's such a shame that they seem to have given up with decent mazes and creating an atmosphere. We didn't see a single roaming actor last year, not one! Lemme at the event, I'll be giving people heart attacks [emoji14] Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

The entire event needs an overhaul... last year was, quite frankly, abysmal. We didn't do Containment as neither me or my friend could justify spending money on it. The changes made to the mazes were minimal at most, and the actors were lack lustre. They were sending people in huge groups because it was busy and they had, surprise surprise, oversold fast track so the back of the group was almost completely ignored. We went to Tulleys Farm the next day and they had made huge changes to the maze line up, so we didn't know what to expect. I wish Thorpe would do the same. Hopefully we will be getting a DBGT maze and actors within the queue line, and some more roaming actors! The guests can have so much fun with roaming actors. And maybe they'll control fast track and guest numbers a bit better too. Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

Which is only the fault of Thorpe and Merlin not caring, which is shown throughout the ride.

You guys actually think the theming in Saw is anything decent? Its lazy, cheap-looking and only anything to do with the films on the inside. Half the reason Saw angers me so much is because people seem to worship it, when honestly, even its indoor theming is rubbish, let alone the ride itself, which just wants to kill the riders who foolishly choose to ride it. Before you guys say anything, I've seen all seven Saw films, several times. I love the films, they are anything BUT generic, they're clever and always make you back track and go 'wait, wtf' so you have to work it all out again. Saw: The Ride makes you go 'wait, I need to see a chiropractor'. In the outside queue line, NOT ONE OF THOSE CONTRAPTIONS FEATURE IN THE FILMS. Inside, they have The Rack (a personal favourite of mine) and the fat man in barbed wire, which looks about as cheap as it comes. Where is the reverse bear trap? I honestly believe that there wasn't a reason for this IP to exist, aside from Merlin knew that by linking it with such a large film series, it would be far more popular. Merlin love a good gimmick, aye. P.S. Saw gave me whiplash. Its evil. Its aged awfully. End of.
