Yes, they seemed to have improved operations massively this year. I just wish they'd stop holding guests outside the building, and only opening one exit...

Well, I don't know about a Wooden Coaster...
Unless Merlin's marketing directors suddenly get god-like powers, we won't see a new Wooden Coaster at any of Merlin's UK parks.

A 'Haunted House' style ride wouldn't work in the village are of Transylvania, that area is supposed to feel light and happy. After that archway next to Vampire Bites is where it becomes scary, in the Black Forest.
-
Gone down again now, maybe because of the rain storm?
-
Not everybody will like the direction the park is heading in (sadly there will never be another creative golden age), but at least they have a good objective at last and are receiving the money to achieve this.
Now that scares me! What sort of thing d'you mean?
-
They were using the full queue yesterday.
-
If it's a nice day, people will want to stay, and if they are able to stay, they are more likely to recommend the park to other people. It would have been odd to throw away all that money. People are also more likely to buy merchandise now that they have more time. It improves guest experience staying open later, making the day more memorable.

How would that work? The air gates are on the other side...
-
Yes, the Abdabs are totally ruined now. But I believe some of the Professor Burp props still reside above the Mexican Cantina.

It will turn up eventually. Just keep searching for Call to Adventure - Scorpion Remix and it'll come up eventually.

What frustrates me most about the Thorpe Shark is that they have the nuts to call it a hotel! It's a small room that leads straight into the open air. It doesn't even have internal corridors, its own decent restaurant, a shop, an attached reception, or anything else to do other than sleeping or visiting the park.
-
I think they'd be upfront about it if that were the case, it's not like they see it as any frustration to the guests to close rides for months at a time for refurbishments.
They don't and Disney don't. If a refurb is needed, a refurb will happen.
-
Yeah, he scares me as well.
-
Well... err... that's a bit, small. Can't they at least add a facade to the containers to maybe hide them?! At first I was against this, then I was excited when I saw the Shark plans, now I know what it looks like, I'm dissapointed. Just about sums up every Merlin project really.

^ That is really quite rude.

I do like the buccaneer bay music
Oh, Black Buccaneer's new music is bloody brilliant!

The 15 people rule is to do with the breakdown last year (weight distribution)... In additions chains have been added to the side to assist should the situation happen again...
How would 15 people limit make a difference? There was 39 on when it broke down in June,

They will never run 3 trains again,
Why?
-
Running the ride efficiently or not would not affect the safety of the riders. It'd affect the experience, but not the safety.
They are not allowed to keep a train on lift two for more than ten seconds, this relies on quick dispatches.
-
The operations for the ride would need to improve massively for them to actually be allowed to run all three. It's part of Merlin's new safety policy.

Awwww, I prefer hearing, "Sit back, Hold tight, the Vampire is taking flight, MWAAAHHA!"
Does the new station version still have the vampire cackle?

I'd like for the pre-show building to have a cattlepen installed, with space for theming. Then use the pre-show screen to show the animals on the ride, to give you something to look at whilst in the queue. The first half of the original pre-show (the Chase part) would play every two mins or so, in order to not loose the story, but ditching the cringe worthy lemur. This would decrease running costs (not having to pay staff for the voice over) and probably improve guest experience.

^ I don't know about it closing in the rain (probably what you said), but I know it closed during a storm due to the amount of static energy in the air, apparently the hydraulic launch system doesn't like it.
