  1. Something that's been on my mind for quite a while: Nitro goes faster than Silver Star, however Silver Star is taller with a longer drop. Nitro's drop angle is only 0.5 degrees steeper which is too small to have an effect. Does anyone know why Nitro is faster? Plus, I still need an answer as to why Silver Star has that huge cover on the side of the drop.
  2. Everyone who's ridden Shambhala, quote this and give your opinion.
  3. Looks like there's lots of wasted steel there, do they need all that extra steel in the middle of the track?
  4. Shambhala is the best roller coaster I have ridden. It's smooth, fast, tall, LAP BAR!!!, the setting is nice (except just after it opened when there was a mud pit for Ankgor, I rode it after Ankgor was built and the setting had improved. Ride one if you get the chance. Going to Barcelona? Go to PortAventura. Going to Germany? Go to Europa Park. Going to America? There's so many of them there, Carowinds has 2 (1 being a Giga).
  5. I have a B&M hyper obsession (as I've been on 2 and will be riding another one later this year).
  6. I think it may just be health and safety. An example of what I mean, Zaturn's restraints: https://cravecoasters.files.wordpress.com/2011/09/spaceworld-zaturn.jpg
  7. This is what being a coaster enthusiast is all about!
  8. Are you saying someone can just change place names, etc. on Google maps then?I'm guessing that means this source isn't really reliable.
  9. This is actually true!Unless is Google doing the April Fools.
  10. Worlds first inverted wooden roller coaster! Maybe not... Worlds first vertical drop wooden roller coaster! Knowing Alton Towers, Probably...
  11. Just a thought. If this is going to be a wooden roller coaster or an RMC that doesn't have a world first feature then I don't think it will end up with the codename SW8. The coasters that have been giving an SW are all world first coasters (apart from Nemesis but it was a Europe's first). But if this is going to be a world first wooden coaster then they'll definitely codemane it SW8. Any ideas for world first wooden coasters?
  12. Hello everyone, I'm Charlie and I'm 15.
  13. I'm not sure if it's me being slightly taller (so my head's above the restraints) or the ride itself but when riding it last week it felt so much smoother than usual. I got barely any headbanging at all, have they done something to this ride to make it more pleasurable?
  14. Has the track in the gamma tube been replaced?
  15. IT IS DONE!!!!!!! https://youtu.be/Y9dBzISl20c
  16. Then my spirit (after the hype has killed me) could go into the train I would become Mako!!!! Or I could control my hype and ride it alive, with some other hyped to death guy's spirit in the train. This post is wierd...

Great, we have now officially found a 1st trumpet. Matt, update the list. Another post: Doing grade 7 trombone this term! I've only been playing for 4 years lol, trombone is definitely a natural instrument for me And why is this topic dying? The same can also be said about the 'music' topic.

Ooh, what grade?Seeing as your still playing (jumping to conclusions) you play first trumpet and toofpikk (now Heather something) will play second (this is non-serious at the moment btw, it could happen though).

    Do you play trumpet regularly?
  20. This track doesn't look terribly smooth anyway, have you seen some of the images posted on this topic? It looks like quite a bumpy straight section.
  21. NOOOOO!!!They take away the recognisable features of this ride: the hydraulic launch and the normal track (I know it may be smoother but it doesn't look good on this ride). Baco save me!!!!
