I'd been stalking these forums for a while (particularly the DBGT one!) before I eventually joined TPM in April 2016. I've been a fan of theme parks and thrill rides for a number of years but where it all started was with my first ride on Nemesis Inferno at Thorpe Park (prior to this I'd never been brave enough to ride a coaster with inversions). After that fateful day I never looked back and since then have thrown myself at nearly every thrill ride I can possibly get on - I just love the buzz you get off riding them and you can't beat the noise of a train climbing a lift hill, followed by a short period of silence and then the whoosh of a drop. Is there a word for that btw?

I've been to most of the main UK theme parks (Thorpe Park, Alton Towers, Chessington, Legoland Windsor and Drayton Manor). For the past few years I've been setting aside a few weeks during the summer where I visit as many of these as possible and, if time allows, throughout the year (MAPs are a wonderful thing!). I've been to Parc Asterix twice (once on a school trip to France before Oziris was built) and then again in summer 2015 to coincide with with my first visit to Disneyland Paris. I absolutely loved it. Tower of Terror and Big Thunder Mountain are my firm favourites. In summer 2016 I spent 2 days at the wonderful Europa Park - Blue Fire, Wodan, Silver Star and Euro-Mir are my top rides there. I also visited Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park to ride Munich Looping at the end of 2016. I loved it so much that I ended up spending a fortune on re-rides!

Thorpe Park is my 'home' park, and Nemesis Inferno remains my all-time favourite ride, closely followed by DBGT!

I aspire to visit as many international parks as I can during my lifetime. So far I have only been to Disneyland Paris, Parc Asterix and Europa Park but I hope to tick off more on my list as time goes on, particularly some of the ones the USA has to offer.
