the goddess stands tall, defiant, but unfortunatley she hides shadows since day one, the problems have persisted, another delay, another long day, it was the experiment that never landed as it should have no one will say it outright, ding dong, but a shift is underway, ding dong, maybe it can be saved, ding dong, maybe not, tick tock!

  4. moving is a difficult job, and not desirable but capital is limited, ding, dong, and guest numbers are waning, ding, dong these are desperate times. something 'new' to bring the hype, with a new name and theme, is the mega saving worth the scares of the hassle?

  6. I think the thing is, there's pros and cons to both. dunelm has more going for it with the whole full product scenario, but for bargains of the home variety, can you really beat home bargins? what do you prefer?
  7. some options are being considered, many are possible, one is cheaper. phobia is the traditional spelling, but in this case, the thrills may exceed the normal levels of fear

  11. I thuppit! a ride in times gone by When hope was high and plans worth making I thuppit! the crowds would come and cry When track and thrills were there for taking Then budgets cut, they came at night With voices soft as paper shredding As they tore the blueprints from my sight And left my coaster dream unthreading They killed the plans, they cut the funds They turned the launch to magnet spaces They stole the loop, the airtime runs And left us with… more burger places Still I thuppit! the ride would rise again That steel and speed would soon deliver But there are storms we can’t contain Thorpe’s lost its dream forever I thuppit! a ride that now is gone A phantom coaster in the distance So here I stand, still holding on To scraps of hope and sheer persistence
  12. everybody raise a glass, HEY! raise it up the constraints pass, HEY! everybody raise a glass, to the master of the park!
  13. I know some people have a nervous disposition of roller coasters. you could say they have a arachno? claustro? it's funny, how the word 'photo' sounds like 'foto' when you say it
  14. ding dong, ding dong, things at merlin are stag, nant, stag, nant, but, never fear, for there is life in the old dog yet something mega may be to come, if the wind blows in the right direction the old maze se7en, may need to be crossed for this ride to come here, ding dong, ding dong, just don't get too scared. I know some people have a nervous disposition of roller coasters. you could say they have a
  15. merlin was lost, in the slipstream of their times. expansion was aggressive, and asset stripping was coherent. the times and the places that they went were more than wonderful, in a sort of panache, noir style of way. but the tides and the times and the tiles have caught up, and now things will need to change. the times were great, but the tides are coming in and the ramp to get off is full. we will soon see a shift, as the ship warbles, and the cakes will be served in the cups of those who towed the party line against that which was right. roller coasters will be ran, but what more, parp parp parp parp, parp parp parp parp ppaarrpp pppaaarrrppp.
  16. no clues to hide in the mazes this year, for nothing, is happening :(
