Mr.man
I dont know if this has been answered anywhere else but in quite a few of chessies old maps there is a tiny mark next to Black Buccanear saying Peg Leg Pete, who was this Pete and did he have a story around him. I am guessing its like the Dragon outside dragons Fury that lived around Dragon Falls for a while. Is Pete still at the park??
Mark9
He was just an animatronic that spoke to you about sailing the seven seas. He was destroyed when his hut collapsed on him during heavy snow in I believe 2009. Sad times.

Fred
Ohh I never ever understood what he said, just that his parrot worked more than him. Oh, and he always always laughed.Shame he was gotten rid of, but my god he was a pain in the arse to clean.
Kevin
Yup Peg Leg Pete was destroyed partially in the heavy snow but was cleaned up but I think it was going to take too much than was worth to clean up.
SteveJ
Ahhh... So that was the fate of Peg Leg Pete. Nice to know that he was not removed for extra seating space or "juzt for lolz" like so many other of Chessington's old features. He was in a rather lonely position, though, so nobody used him as much as, for example, Frazzle. You had to shake his leg to make him "wake up", I recall. Here be a photo for the sake of nostalgia. Fred
That brings back memories of his dirtyness and his constant bloody laughing then snoring.
RideAddict
It's a shame they didn't convert it to something else Pirate-themed, or was it all too damaged beyond repair?
