Maybe so, but as Josh has said there is a fine line. When we look at the hits and the traffic behaviour for tpm the MAJORITY are from members of the GP, looking up information on the park, rather than enthusiasts, which is why we try to cater for both. The reason you probably see more "advertising" of the park simply boils down to there are more offers, events which would interest the GP than goings on which the enthusiasts want to see. We take all comments on-board though, and its somthing we will discuss to try even the balance abit more.

Looks pretty decent, not sure id like to see one at Thorpe though, would be awesome to see this kind of thing at towers, if the woodie ever happens there.

They never actually said that I cant see it happening personally.

From a guess theres a number of reasons behind it, firstly it looks better to guests to have staff on hand (especially a popular ride like stealth) to close the area off and stop people entering instead of just putting up a fence and leaving it, secondly I guess it means the ride can reopen as soon as possible after its been fixed by the engineers instead of waiting for staff who are now tied up in other positions around the park.

They are usually the staff who will work on the ride if it re-opens..

No idea if it is the cable , just a guess from what I saw on park. They will struggle to stop people going under / near the launch though at Stealth with sunken garden, the entrance, then towards the end of the queue.

It looks like its having cables changed, saw some on the floor earlier! I wonder if its to do with Rita or its just due, they are usualy changed around this time in the year.

I'm pretty sure it couldn't happen on Stealth... The newer launch coasters cable run through a runner down the launch track so when / if it snaps any metal fragments will be contained in this area and not cover the train... I guess the only way we would find out is if a cable does snap but I cant see that happening. Also Stealths now running well again and no longer needing to wait so long between launches!

It had this problem a couple of years back, I seem to remember the ride seems to take longer to be ready to launch a train so staff slow down to save guests sitting in their seat for ages waiting, I'm sure it will be fixed soon

I do wonder if this is as bad as it looks? If new cables on site already there's a good chance it will reopen tomorrow, if that cable did fling over there at speed would merlin open it, keep stealth and it's other rockets going knowing full well it could be very dangerous around that area if a cable snapped? I'm not so sure

Judging by my last visit all the issues have been resolved yeah

I'm pretty sure the launch's are designed so that if it does snap it wouldnt harm anyone on the ride, not sure how the cables ended up over there though I thought it would just wrap its self around the drum!

I dont see why it would take too long, I guess will just be a standard cable replacement but the old one being slightly easier to get off!

Not sure about smoke but it has flashing lights / sound effects..

Hi all, Its been bought to our attention that members have entered restricted ride areas at the park recently and images have been posted on the forum. I'd like to remind all members that ride areas are cordoned off for a reason and are dangerous even if the ride is un-available at the time. Any questions please PM me or one of the team directly. That seems a crazy journey considering you can almost see Stealth from the hotel!! Id look into possibly getting a taxi straight to the park, call a few local firms to see how much it would be.

I guess thats why it has 2 belts, so if one fails, its not a huge safety issue Of course if 2 failed thats a different ball game, but id guess its very unlikely.

Err? Theres a choice of 6 which the operator chooses based on the queue times etc.. unless thats changed in the last few months?
