Mini rant time about the Town Centre. First off I really enjoy and like being where I live, what with London being so close and a short journey to Windsor (Which I adore.) But the town centre in Maidenhead is getting very sh1te! My sister for a long time worked in a Thorntons chocolate shop, it was a great saturday thing and she worked with really nice people. Then, one day, people come in and start measuring the dimensions of the shop. Turns out humble Thorntons was being turned into a Phones 4 U Now, this means theres a carphone wearhouse next door, another phone shop a 20 second walk away, and then down onto the high street you'll find several more phone shops! Theres a total of 9 phone shops all withen a 5 minute proximity! Maidenhead isn't all that big, how can there be such a demand? At one point there were 3 games shops literally a few metres away from eachother, only one of them is still open. Pound shops are springing up all over the place aswell as card shops.Want to buy a cd or DVD? Forget it, all closed, will have to go out of the centre to Blockbusters. It's a bit of a pity too seeming as we're right on a river, so much potential! But the only hint of there being a river in the Town centre is behind an old dirty abandoned cinema. Bleugh.Rant over.

You make it seem as if we teamed up against you. You need to introduce yourself when you're at meets, tbh I had absolutely no idea who you were until later that day. To anyone who hasn't been to meet we're not a bunch of sharks. A lot of members on here are eager to get to know new people but, like most social gatherings, it's a joint effort.
