  1. Agreeing with everyone above. A clear winner!
  2. Can you remember what it was like a week later on the Thrill Chill Mark? (Thought you would as you said it was one of your favourite trips). As I was one of the stupid ones that went on the opening day and was cursing Thorpe Park at the end of it!
  3. Thought I'd do an onride photo of Vampire! :)Date is wrong - should be 05-08-09
  4. An amazing trip report and a good read.Love the pictures too! :PIt is nice to see a park that looks as if it has very good attractions not to be so busy.Theming looks amazing too! Glad you enjoyed your trip James!
  5. You will only be able to work at Chessington & Zoo for selected hours as you will still be in compulsary education doing your GCSE's.So yes, Your shifts will not be all day. You might need to consider this before applying. If you go onto the Recruitment site, then it will explain the Terms and Conditions for working at Chessington whilst you are still in compulsary education. It might work out that you are not happy with the pay you would recieve for the hours you are working and decide not to work there yet until you finish your GCSE's.
  6. The lights were also on for me when I went right at the start of August.I do agree though that it can defeat the object in some ways of having Fright Nights when the "freeky coloured" lights are in use.Could call it a Fright Nights preview?
  7. Exactly! It will take me 45 mins from Brighton to CWoA & Zoo by car. I am saying this as you can get the train, but as soon as you can drive. It should be quicker. If you are in Year 11 or above, I would not reconmend having 2 part time jobs.Year 11 and above is incredibly hard, so I would give up one. (Based on whether you feel as if you can cope with 2 + an education + a social life). You would probably get home at 7pm alot as I find Chessington usually closes at 5pm.The only dates where you know you will definately not get back until later is all of August and Halloween Hocus Pocus. All I can say Paul is...If you are happy with the pay you will get, getting up to the park and time getting home, then GO FOR IT!The only thing to take into consideration is that you will not leave when the park closes usually. You will have to wait until the queue line clears and has been fully cleaned. If you were on Griffins Galleon, then that does not have a large queue, so you would be out earler.Whereas, If you had a queue like Vampire, you would have to wait for it to be cleared and cleaned.(And we all know that some rides are still going half an hour after closing. (Which is great as a guest POV!)
  8. How are you getting it for £4?I personally think that it is worth while applying!I really want to work at Chessington & Zoo as well. However, It will cost me more as I am in Brighton to get up there. If it is only £4 and you are prepared to get up early. Then go for it and all the best of luck from me! :PIf you are thinking of working in Rides and Attractions; I am pretty sure that you would have to be on park by 9am.If there is anything you wish to ask, feel free to message me and I will endeavour to answer!
  9. The only argument against that would be Nemesis Inferno's queue.I find Nemesis Inferno's queue quite compact, but I always feel like I am getting somewhere. (Unlike Loggers Leap's queue line).(Could just be me though)!
  10. The way I look at it is...If you want to visit during Thrill Chill, then just take into consideration that rides will proabably be later opening if the temperature is not 5 C.I remember this was for Colossus and Nemesis Inferno. The 3 rides that were opened immediately on my visit was Detonator, Vortex and Storm in a Teacup.I personally would not reconmend visiting if the temperature is below 5 C as you will be waiting around for rides to open like I was!
  11. I agree that Loggers Leap's queue line can be really long.I would not mind if it was not like a cattle pen queue. If I felt like I was going somewhere and not in zig zags, I would happily queue. As Loggers Leap queue line is horrible, I will only queue a maxamum of 30 mins usually. For me, It is a real shame that you do not feel like you are moving, as it has great audio and could be a great ride to queue for.
  12. I have also seen this. However, when I saw it, the gondola was half way up.Still a dangerous thing to do!
  13. I agree with you.Mr Monkey's Banana Ride is alot better for me too than Black Buccaneer. When I ride Black Buccaneer, I have to sit in the middle otherwise I might be seeing my lunch! :PWhereas, Mr Monkey's is a great ride with cheesey audio! *Hi 5 Mr Monkeys!* :P
  14. Or you could just re-join the queue line and ride again?!
