Wow, nice photo. As far as I know, the jolt has not been removed. The lift hill / drop has not been replaced. Unless there was another way of rectifying the problem (which I assume is highly unlikely), then I doubt the jolt has been removed.

Despite the fact there are 6 videos older than it..That is one of the oldest videos ever made.
I agree with you, however, it isn't really what most people would call a TV ad. And flipping RCT screams...Your post is both pointless and wrong at the same time. It's an amazing video, why they didn't just cut that down a bit and make it the TV advert instead bemuses me, since it's probably the best piece of Saw: The Ride advertising (or any advertising) they ever made.

Bradley's death was quite funny.
If anyone started to watch the aftermath on BBC3, you would have seen the blood dripping of his face when he did an interview. Very funny. However, Stacey? Na, don't like it. "Oh, you raped me - I'll kill you." angle isn't what I was hoping for. Something a little for far-fetch and abnormal is what I wanted and expected; after all, it is EastEnders. But oh well, life carries on. Well, except for Bradley of course...

Are those posters advertising Thirteen? If so, what do they say - I can't read it; too blurry. -
So, tonight EastEnders fans finally find out who murder Archie Mitchell. But, with about an hour before we find out (we're bound to be told at the end), who do you think done it?My money is one Ben or Jay.

1) Not too sure, but for a peak day, I'd guess somewhere between 13,000-16,000. However, I'm not too sure.2) All Merlin attractions no idea. However, I know TP was 2.1 million (their highest ever). I think AT was around about the 3 million mark, but again, I'm not too sure.(Oh, and Welsh Boy, sorry, I didn't know - but I thought I'd probably be wrong.I'm doing a talk of Merlin at school, and could anyone answer any of the following questions? It would be a great help. 1) What is the average gate figure on a peak day at Thorpe Park?2) What was the approximate visitor number in total of all Merlin Attractions last year? More specifically, Thorpe Park? Thanks

I do. I wear them practically all the time; in and out of school - however, I can still see without them. The only time I don't wear them is whilst I'm doing exercise or going to theme parks.

Cheers for the advice, hopefully when someone tries to use me again, I'll have to the confidence to stand up for myself.Josh:If a friend who ignores you, wants to copy your work, tell them no! You should tell them no because they only talk to you, when they want to copy your work and they're not a good friend, because they use you. And if people always use you and get their own way, you'll be a push-over.You need to stand up for yourself and tell it like it is. You'll feel better knowing that stood up for yourself, you'll feel more confident and they will see how wrong they were. They might be a little annoyed / angry / pissed but..they will know what they did was wrong. They might not say anything but they will know.

I'm sick of constantly being used. All I ever get out of people is "Can you tell me what the whatever homework?" "Can you help me with my homework?" "Can you tell me what to do?" "Can you do this for me?" "Can you do that for me?" I'm a kind person, so try and help people out, yet I still get treated as if I do nothing for nobody. Half the people who add me on MSN just ignore me when I speak to them, and only talk to me when they need help with school work or just general stuff. It gets so annoying when it feels all I do is help people, yet get nothing in return. In the past, whenever I've said "NO, stuff off!", it's caused nothing but trouble, causing them to hate me, and then more people to hate me in turn, hence the reason why I've been pretty much a social outcast for most of my ife. As much as I would just like to say no, I just can't, because in the end, the last thing I need is more people disliking me, especially when I've just begun to get more socially excepted.Argh!

But it's not only a maze; it's a SAW maze! Therefore, there's more of a chance you'll get a few SAW enthusiasts from America (where SAW is much more popular) so they can say they've done a SAW maze (or maybe even 2) as well as a SAW roller coaster. If it was just a maze, yeah, I'd completely agree with you. But because it's SAW, you can't predict how much of an increase the park will get. What I'm going to get at is, its not a new 'ride', its only a maze, people wont travel halfway around the worlds as such to try out a maze.

Well, it really does depend on how much publicity they put behind it. They of course know how much of an advertising campaign they are going to do, and in the end, that is one of the main ways they get gate figures to rise. If they don't advertise it that much, then of course there won't be a significant rise. I still however feel there will be a lot of guest there. In the end, it is new, and the public try to go for new rides first. Then of course you've got the ride itself, which will still be very popular.A lot of you are saying that SAW Alive will be abosultley booming with guests, thorpe have already released that they believe no significant rise in gate figure will occure. Wether this is true, time will tell.
-
True. Hopefully it will work out like this, but only time will tell.I think the benefit Saw Alive will have is that it being an all year round attraction, the actors will get used to the environment and what creates the best scares for the groups in the mazes, where as fright nights it all comes up pretty quickly and dont last very long.
-
The only reason I'm going on SAW Alive is for the sake of saying I've done it. I have low expectations for the experience of it and will probably do it once or twice and be done with it. Thing is, with Thorpe's horror mazes (I haven't been in horror mazes elsewhere, so don't want to generalize), the actors only pick on the ones who look scared. Like last FN, the actors just tried to scare the person at the front (because that's who they saw first) and then my cousins (who are small, 12 year old girls) and occasionally the one at the back. Because I was just floating somewhere near the front or back and I didn't look scared, none of the actors interacted with me (sorry, one did) which made them extremely boring. I'm just hoping for more re-rides on Inferno and Detonator at the beginning of the day.
Wild Asia is something I'm looking forward to. Hopefully, I'll be able to get to Cheesie a couple more times this season as I unfortunately never got the chance to go last year. Thirteen. It's a ride I'm on the fence about. It seems good one minute and bad the next. Nonetheless, I'm going to AT this year. Thinking of going for 3 days, but it'll probably only end up being 2. Haven't been since 2006 and probably won't again for a while. And I'm trying and trying and trying to organise a trip to Flamingo Land. My mum and nan really want to go as well, but it's just getting there that's the problem. I'm just pleading and pleading and pleading, but it is unlikely to happen. However, I'm trying to get my uncle to take me to BPB with him in the summer - if he goes. He goes once a year, but he keeps saying he probably won't go this year because he's short of money. I understand that and all, but I'm still trying to persuade him - it'll probably be to no avail, not oh well, no harm in trying.

Hey everyone,Basically, I'm stopping the Quiz for a while. For whatever reason, there's been great dis-interest in it, as has there in James' Challenge. I'm planning on stopping it till TP opens again, when hopefully the forum will be buzzing a bit more and the Quiz will get more interest. Thanks to everyone who entered this week and last. However, I'm not going to give out this week's answers yet, as I may use it as one to ease into the Quiz when it restarts. I may rethink the whole idea of the quiz, including how to enter and the actual layout and so forth. If anyone has any ideas, please PM me. Many thanks,Josh

Any more entries guys?

The track HAS to shack. If it didn't, it would snap - then the ride would collapse. On that clip its looks as thought the track is shaking! is like the rides at funderworld, is that supposed to happen, that certianly would be thrilling you'd think the ride is collpasing :S
All coasters do it, however, I would say it is shaking much more than I've seen some others. It's probably because it is test runs and the track itself is only bi-rail. Some may say it is even the world first element - shaking track. But I won't go there...

Woo - Surrey rules! Hey, you're lucky - I'm lucky even to go to AT - I've only been once - that was in 2006. :DWelcome to the forums though.Hey everyone, my name is Daniel and I am from Surrey. My "home" park is Thorpe but I visit Alton Towers every other year. I am 13 but have been regularly visiting forums and generally being enthusiastic about rollercoasters since I was 10 . I hope to be quite active on this forum and will hopefully learn a lot about the parks.
I have a mild form of OCD which can be quite annoying at times
but I manage to get on with life and I am very pleased with how it has turned out.

Adam_Thorpe is who I more or less knew it was. XDlol 3 actually
me, adam_thorpe (southparks), and TP Daniel did you think it was him?
It's half hilarious and half embarrassing. Thing is, my mum and nan are like that more or less all the time. It's fun most of the time, the rest of the time, I'm as red as a tomato.Lmfao! Oh my god that is hilarious xD I would love to give your Nan a hi 5!
-
If it's who I think it is, I'm surprised you didn't already know about him.bleh
just found somebody who likes theme parks a lot in my school, well two people actually
I don't feel entirely the same way. I mean, on forums, I'm fine - the reason why people go on here is to talk to the like-minded. But if, like in Dan's position, there were 2 fanboys at my school, I wouldn't like it. In the end, every school has the 'know-it-all' in something - be it roller coasters, Harry Potter, London Underground or whatever (just a couple of examples from my schoolI love it when you find people that like rides
). But 2 in the same school? Too much of a clash for me personally. In the end, school is where I can talk about bi-railed track and have everyone think I'm talking about a bisexual roller coaster - the forums are where I can talk about bi-railed track and sound normal.
(Then again, I might have felt differently if there was another fanboy at my school - oh well, there's always college...)
My nan is 70, yet whenever she's in a car and sees a cyclist she talks about how nice of a bum they have. She's now even got into the habit of opening the window and saying "cheeky". I don't think there is anything for you to be worried about. XDSo I get home and watch the match with my parents who are sat there like :/ and my Mum strikes up a conversation with me about which players had the nicest bums and thighs. She turned 50 in December, I think I should be quite worried tbh. It was hilarious though, but I was majorly disgusted by one comment she came out with- which is waaaaay too X Rated for these forums x)

Costing me precious votes!!! :(My vote is going to dummiguy. The only reason why is because I hate the idea of making Nemesis being made into a Valentine's Day ride. In the end, it is a monster, your 'Nemesis' - not a lovey dovey sweet ride. The two just don't mix for me. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice design and all (not to mention corny), but I just don't like the idea of it.Woops sorry Josh. Fixed now

Could you explain how? When writing about the rides, I've been trying to do it in my own, personal style. I've just compared some ride articles, and I see little to how they can be seen as similar. Thanks. Its TPM, just a free, cheap version.
