As with all of our tickets, once purchased, experiences are non-refundable. However you are not tied in to any particular date when you purchase a VIP experience, so you have all season to redeem the experience if you can't make the date you had originally intended.

Don't be so sure! Okay, we jest........................................ probably.

If you recall, before you GET to the cabin, you have to pass through a mountain tunnel. What you're looking at is not the exterior to the cabin itself

To clarify, we will not be closing our major thrill rides at 8 or even 9pm. All our most popular rides will stay open right through until 10pm. The only rides that will close earlier will be those that have little to no demand in the evening, and will close depending on demand on the day.

Hi Benin, We are not asking guests to do our job for us and I'm sorry you have interpreted our post this way. The 'Queue Champion' role is a real position - every day on the Park we have a dedicated person whose responsibility it is to spend the day checking and updating Queue times to keep them as accurate as possible. But queue times are not an exact science and can fluctuate more quickly than we can always keep up with. The text service is absolutely not something we will be using to replace this role - it is an additional form of communication for guests to get in touch and let us know if they believe any of the times to be inaccurate. We will not take a given time as fact, but rather we will then ensure we check exactly what the queue time is and update it accurately. It is also an optional service - there is no obligation to use it at all!

Oh ye of little faith!

We have a dedicated role in the Park whose responsibility it is to check the queue times of each ride and update the boards to keep them as accurate as possible. As Mccy correctly states, our Commercial team have no influence over the queue times, and we never state queue times inaccurately in order to inflate Fastrack sales. We know the queue times are not always accurate, and it is something we are working very hard on to improve internally. We care about the experience our guests have on Park, and this is the reason for us trialling systems like Reserve 'n Ride which we hope to offer as a permanent solution in future. We do our very best to keep queue times as accurate as possible, but sometimes technology lets us down, and queue times can change very quickly, when a ride temporarily closes down for example. So we will also very soon be launching a Queue Hotline, where people can text in and let us know if the times are inaccurate, so we can update the boards with the most up to the minute information.

Yes we are planning on doing exactly this!

Hi Benin, The reason we are trialling and looking to introduce this system is because we do care about the experience of our guests on Park. We have had a lot of feedback that guests do not enjoy standing in queues waiting for rides, so we are investigating options to avoid this so people can maximise enjoyment from their visit to THORPE PARK.
-
We are testing, but currently we close queue lines when the Park reaches closing time and then allow everyone in the queue to ride. The plan for the virtual queue would be the same unless we encounter issues with this. No you couldn't, because you would have to use your entrance ticket number to validate the booking, so cannot duplicate
-
Sorry won't work - we've thought of that! You will need to use your entrance ticket (or annual pass) to use the system - only one space per ticket can be booked
-
The virtual queue will be the same length as the actual queue would be. So if you wanted you could stand in THE SWARM plaza for half an hour, or you could go and do something else and come back when you're ready

We read everything

Thanks for the vote of confidence Benin The system is not perfect but this is why we are trialling it, to see what potential issues there might be. If and when this becomes a permanent fixture, we would ensure that it was widely communicated to all our guests to minimise confusion about the system. However to correct a misconception, it is not 'booking a slot' like Fastrack, it is joining a virtual queue - so the ride will not run out of slots, but the length of the queue will vary depending on how many people are in it. It is unlikely that we will add this onto every ride, at least in the early stages - more likely just the most popular rides that tend to have longer queues. So people will still be able to ride other attractions whilst in the virtual queue for a ride, and make the most of their day at THORPE PARK!

Hi Inferno,To answer your questions - - We are working on improving the experience on park for guests when they are not actually on a ride... Watch this space - We would initially be implementing this on our most popular rides so it is unlikely that there will be seats going spare - but of course this is why we are trialling the system to see how it works and how we can troubleshoot any issues - The system is smart enough that the virtual queue would automatically be extended for the duration of the down time - We know it is risky it but we want to make it work for our guests which is why we are testing it out now

Thanks all! We're always trying to improve our offering for our guests, so it's brilliant to hear that you like the things we're doing! See you at Summer Nights!
