Well, Benin, It's been a trait for coasters fans for YEARS to compare park's reliability, to which nobody particularly cared. For instance, when Thorpe had diabolical reliability everyone jumped on the bandwagon, suddenly Alton have terrible reliability and people (you) are defending it with your life. Isn't it humorous your complaining about people comparing parks/rides, and yet yourself, in your post, compared rides in another park(s) to other parks by pointing out their reliability is worse than that of Alton's/other parks.

The baggage hold, is rather interesting. Mostly due to the fact, It's the batcher's fault. They have slipped into the 'lazy' staff member trait and gone for the 'Don't stop anyone from the main queue so there is always a constant influx of guests making the bagroom work harder than everyone'. When they can be 'bothered' they actually do stop the main queue to let Fastrack & Backwards queue through. I don't think it's a case of looking at the operation of the baggage hold, I think its more the entire Swarm team need a slap with a kipper and retrained on how to professionally and fairly use a batching/merge point.

I'm not sure anyone can say otherwise, other than a member of staff... I guess we will find out... Maybe.

Well you could say that CoasterDude, but Air has had a fair amount of downtime as has Oblivion

^ As far as I know, the 4D cinema, is just a big empty room at the moment. I ma be wrong though!

This shouldn't be a problem as the tech teams should be onsite in the early hows preparing the day ahead anyway. I'm sure they could easily 'train' a few new maintenance staff that aren't trained on the ride to be a bit more consistent as it is. Or maybe, just maybe do what Thorpe do on busier days, and check a train over the night before so the ride already has a green-carded train for the morning... there for engineering only need to do the normal checks and be safe with a single train as opposed to no trains. I can honestly say I don't think I've ever seen you give credit to Thorpe in the entirety of my time on this forum. Have you been to Summer Nights? From what I've heard they are actually very good with a lot of people wanting to return tomorrow and Saturday. The only reason, my friend, they are keeping the park open to guests until 9pm is because both ends of Chertsey Lane & Staines Road are receiving major road works. They don't HAVE to open at all to 9pm but the fact that guests have been given the chance to stay back a couple hours to keep clear of the impending traffic is bloody nice of them. If I had the choice of sit in blistering heat for hours on end getting to your destination or have a couple of beverages and an extra couple of rides on Detonator & Vortex, I know which one I would choose. It is clearly stated these late openings are for guests to 'avoid traffic conditions' and are not just because they can.

*especially when TP hasn't **actually** added anything new*

They also have Staines bridge to contend with the other end isn't it nice when a theme park extends their hours rather than shortening them...
-
Agreed with Marc, if my memory serves me correctly TP released their opening times reduced rather than altering them, funly enough most of the 10:00 - 21:00 days actually had opening times extended. I'm sure if this year goes well we may even see some of the peak days back to 10:00 - 22:00.

I'd be a little floofed off as well, I don't really get a chance to go Towers that much so it's nice to have a long day there maybe even two long days!

Luckily, The Noise is updated very frequently I remember going a few days after 'this is what it feels like' by Armin Van Buuren came out and it was on The Noise! Yay
-
Haters gonna hate I can't see X going anywhere anytime soon really, it gives younger generations more of a chance to ride a 'big coaster' which isn't flying fish! I'm sure you wouldn't be moaning about how short X is if you only got one lap on The Fish

Lets hope it's not Nemesis eh?

To be fair though, both Saw and The Smiler are classed as prototypes, Saw was the first Eurofighter to dual load and offload and The Smiler is a Infinity something or another. Saw's first major problem happened to be a manufacturing discrepancy then after more manufacturing discrepancy causing frequent checks to be made in certain areas. Same with Smiler, I hear they are having to replace a part every week or so. Whilst both seem to be having/have had manufacturing difficulties it's made worse by the fact they both have/had teething problems which happens on all rides, after all! They should take a leaf out of B&M's book, *If you decide to build a new concept don't release or build it until you have perfected the systems and manufacturing of the ride* - The Swarm is still yet to of had a full day closed. Shame Smiler is having so many of these issues though, it is a fantastic ride, whereas these days you look back at Saw's opening year and think "Yeah I don't really care if it spontaneously combusted"

Maybe they should ask for a 5 minute spot on the 6 o'clock news with tomorrows reliability forecast. If they aren't careful they will end up on WatchDog again

Looks as though only SAW Alive will be the returning maze for 2013: Taken from the 'Acting roles' job description here: https://merlin.taleo.net/careersection/4/jobdetail.ftl

Sorry for the double post, the new Mack super splashy thing is coming along as well - supposedly going to be the longest of its time.

The pull Through has commenced (not sure if it is finished yet!) This was on July 25th.

I know I was stating fact not a question

Acting wise it could really work, for instance all of them dress as a ventriloquist dummy with the exception of the main character being Mary Shaw, which would give anyone a scare looking at her!

If anyone hasn't seen Dead Silence, watch it it's brilliant! (strangely the opening credits is the same theme tune that was used on the former XNWO, which can be seen below) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGlAtM2glEw

Whilst Dr Kellman can't be seen at The Smiler at the moment he can be seen as a disabled person advertising Wiltshire Farm Foods.

It's not even like there's a queue board near them to see...
