Something I have noticed with the below image is that it appears the first lift doesn't have any anti rollbacks, suggesting in the event of a shutdown it will just cascade slowly back down the lift?

It depends on the weather greatly, in hot temperatures the mist vaporises too quickly, in cold temperatures (not only does the pipe/mist nozzles freeze stopping the mist altogether) but the mist itself freezes, becomes heavier and will just fall to the floor.

All smoke machines use the similar fluid which inevitably smell the same Thorpe would buy bulk for any smoke machine so yes they do smell the same
