    MTDP

The Bobsleigh looking thing that is sitting next to Monks Walk, M25 side of the park is about 15 years old and (I presume) was used for boat moving from one side of the lake to the other.Got jack to do with the MTDP?
  3. I wouldn't recommend the park for anything past a nice wonder round some well landscaped areas. Some OK rides but it really isn't targeted towards us, however it does have some well kept grounds.
  4. I'll come up on Saturday evening for about 7ish, any takers to meet me at Waterlol will be greatly appreciated!
  5. Monkey Swingers' Panels for the ride top have been brought back and are waiting to go back onto the ride.. and the Tuk Tuk Turmoil had been set back up.

    Troubleshooting

When I click 'View new content' it only picks up one or two threads and when I post, and a reply is showing; I click 'View new content' and it only picks up a few of the old bits.Using Safari 4.0.4 on Mac OS X 10.6.2 if this helps, but the button just doesn't seem to work properly!

Anyone got their 3D glasses yet?
  8. you know it boy! you know me as well, feel privileged hah.

  9. I think they sold 300 tickets, not 20 - ClickyTHORPE PARK will always disappoint you however if you go there to be disappointed then you can avoid disappointment by going to THORPE PARK if you know it will always be rubbish.
  10. Every ride is test ridden by one staff member, once a day to ensure that there are no strange sounds or smells encountered in the ride by lifts, motors, restraints etc.Staff are not allowed to ride the rides when there are guests on park, however sometimes for special occasions such as birthdays, staff members leaving etc, first day of season, last day of season.Staff are also used to warm up rides, for example 4 days before the season, staff were paid to ride the Dodgems in Beanoland for hourly sessions daily, to take the rust off of the track.
  11. Yup, they are identical designs.
  12. Full days, as they pretty much only employ over 18s there.
  13. Chessington is a cheap area to live, however obviously only appropriate if you work at WoA, however Ashford/Feltham is quite cheap but quite nasty.I wouldn't recommend moving down just for a theme park though.
  14. Hand the shoes to the operator, and then they'll have a huge go at the person not listening about shoes.
  15. You could have still purchased them, yes.

Viral marketing is funny the first time, every time after that then it's not funny. At all.So stop.
  17. Because the lift walkways are so sharp you can walk up the sloped walkway up the lifts easily with no grip on your shoes, at ease. It's so you don't cut your feet to **** if staff have to evacuated you!
  18. For a year that really was going to be the 'in between **** year' between old Chessington (lets not give much of a toss sort of era between 2001 - 2008) and the start fresh of 2010 where they are relaunching it, they really have shown what you can do with fixing the leaks that Chess had. Things such as theming, painting, ride availability, staffing, guest interaction and throughputs.A lot of management have moved in and moved out from the park and all of the above have changed all for the better, and it really has set them up well for 2010. The park has smashed every record they've held since 2000 on gate figures, Best AP day, Easter, Summer and Hocus Pocus they've ever had, with gate figures reaching 11,000 for 3 days in a row in Easter, 8,000 for AP day, 10 or so days with 10,000 - 14,000 gate figures, and for Hocus Pocus; 14,600 - 12,600 - 11,000.Staff have coped immensely well with power cuts, gate figures and occasionally being caught out with gate figures being way higher than expected, so well done to every single staff member that has worked there until the end this year, you've been the ones that have made this year.
  19. Don't think I have.. can you describe him? Lol

  20. Well I didn't take it the wrong way, I took it how you posted which was very insulting to both people who do and don't have disabilities.Staff and Guest Services give out exit passes for ONE use only on any ride of their choice; this is guest recovery procedure to give out a quick fix to problems they had in their day I.e broken down ride, poor service, accident etc.
  21. I personally think you are being disgustingly narrow minded if you think 'they were definitely not disabled'.Get effed if you think that. Most people have that do have disabilities, have ones you cannot see.
  22. Please keep your arms are regs inside the boat at all times, ok?Please keep your booty in the boaty, stay seated until somebody tell you! OK?
