Viral marketing is funny the first time, every time after that then it's not funny. At all.So stop.

Because the lift walkways are so sharp you can walk up the sloped walkway up the lifts easily with no grip on your shoes, at ease. It's so you don't cut your feet to **** if staff have to evacuated you!
  3. For a year that really was going to be the 'in between **** year' between old Chessington (lets not give much of a toss sort of era between 2001 - 2008) and the start fresh of 2010 where they are relaunching it, they really have shown what you can do with fixing the leaks that Chess had. Things such as theming, painting, ride availability, staffing, guest interaction and throughputs.A lot of management have moved in and moved out from the park and all of the above have changed all for the better, and it really has set them up well for 2010. The park has smashed every record they've held since 2000 on gate figures, Best AP day, Easter, Summer and Hocus Pocus they've ever had, with gate figures reaching 11,000 for 3 days in a row in Easter, 8,000 for AP day, 10 or so days with 10,000 - 14,000 gate figures, and for Hocus Pocus; 14,600 - 12,600 - 11,000.Staff have coped immensely well with power cuts, gate figures and occasionally being caught out with gate figures being way higher than expected, so well done to every single staff member that has worked there until the end this year, you've been the ones that have made this year.
  4. Well I didn't take it the wrong way, I took it how you posted which was very insulting to both people who do and don't have disabilities.Staff and Guest Services give out exit passes for ONE use only on any ride of their choice; this is guest recovery procedure to give out a quick fix to problems they had in their day I.e broken down ride, poor service, accident etc.
  5. I personally think you are being disgustingly narrow minded if you think 'they were definitely not disabled'.Get effed if you think that. Most people have that do have disabilities, have ones you cannot see.
  6. Please keep your arms are regs inside the boat at all times, ok?Please keep your booty in the boaty, stay seated until somebody tell you! OK?
  7. You sir, are one safe shooter!
  8. Can people just not call it Chessington? It's not as if there are three different types of Chessington parks in the world, let alone 3 called Chessington.Just a thought.
  9. Yes, you can use them whenever you want, after 11am.

Yup, also sporting the new 2010 logo at the bottom of that leaflet!
  11. Chessington South area isn't that nice but WoA staff tend to leave from between 8pm until latest of 10pm so they're always around to make you feel slightly safer. If not, use the 71 bus to go from right outside the park to the station

Just to clarify, the marketing leaflets being handed out say it is called Kobra.

No, contract terminated.Big, BIG difference between the two.
  17. Just in case you hadn't realised.. It's not being sponsered this year. Merlin seem to be turnign Chessington totally in house now, Pizza Hut, KFC have all gone, Picsolve and HBL may be going next year and being brought back in house, Beano contract not renewed.
  18. That's still weird seeing the old Fury control panel..
  19. Kevin replied to Dan9's topic in UK Attractions
OMFG CAR 1!It's Car 2 they're doing now Mark, they've done Car 1 already
  20. Well I think it'd be good but as long as sig's are moderated, like not past 100px x 500px. And why people count their rides on 'x' ride and then put them in their signatures, is beyond me.

Took your time, a year late!Seriously though, well done Chris
  23. Why do people not believe Mark or Sheepie when they say it really does die down on extended opening hours days?It is a good idea but it really is so much hassle even doing early rider for hotel guests, and opening South Entrance for their early rider. Which, has now changed to opening Fury and LoTD at 9.30 if you come through South Admissions, as Beanoland has now been removed.
  24. I'd agree with most of the points made in this topic, however when people are saying about opening times - the people that visit CWoA are families/ younger teenagers and they are gone by 6 at the latest if it opened until 8, and it isn't financially viable.
  25. The park is being totally relaunched for 2010, so new things like signage, fully fixed effects, areas repainted etc.Supposedly.
