Yay, had a day off, even though was 10,300. Loved today TBH. Staff on great form, and me was harassing a certain member of staff on Rush, qasking him why Screamin Swings where so good :)Two power cuts today, and I was in Rush, front of queue for both of them. So I got two seperate exit passes =] First ride of day on Slammer, ahd whole ride to myselves, and Samurai was second run of the day. And Rush.Loving new music around park, really impressed. You may have heard reports that Link is done well, that's becuase it isn't. People are in late after park closing fixing it all, and the zones aren't working, thus being fixed. Power cut in Chertsey side, so Colossus, Rush, Slammer, Quantum and Vortex went down. And all rude downtime bar Detonator wasn't parks fault, so thumbs up to them.Very near Stealth rollbacks today, and I physically stopped at the top today. Theming; does it matter? I have been an Enthusiast for over a year now; the first park of mine was Thorpe Park, with my very first coaster ever, being Stealth. Crazy, I know, but hey. I found SouthParks in July 2006, joining a few days later.My first trip was amazing. I did not care one bit about Theming, bar the Tidal Wave theming. Joining SouthParks didn't give me much of an insight, but some people I met off of SP did. Theming appeared to me as not essential, and nothing much. After regularly reading Theme Park Review, and the regular photo Trip Reports arriving, I saw what theming meant, and how much Thorpe lacked. I didn't think much of theming, still, until June 2007. My first trip to Alton Towers.Arriving at the Car Park, I saw the Splash Landings sign, which looked pretty well detailed. It went through the day, and at the end of the day, after experiencing proper theming, we ventured into Splash Landings bar for an after park drink. We took our drink, after walking through the heavily detailed corridors, themed down to the carpet.Looking into Cariba Creek waterpark, I was amazed. Everywhere you look; there is something else to look at. Everything is themed. The facades, the waterguns, the total interactivity of the place. This brings me onto my next park, Chessington. Following my first park visit, I thought it was piss poor, and the rides where crap. Then I went with people from TPM, and this was the visit, where it was truly magical. The theming of the whole park is amazing, extremely immersive.Thinking about my recent visits to Thorpe, I have shown myself how wrong I was about theming meaning nothing. Look at Stealth for example, 205ft high, 0-80 is 2 seconds. Themed? Not really. If you think a radio booth, with a DJ that is obviously dead, 2 themed buildings, and a crappy 'racetrack' theme; it's appauling to say the least.And for the 09 coaster. This may be the only thing that may keep my interest of Thorpe existent. If it is not an Air clone, and has an amazing ride in it, and properly themed, then I will be happy. If not, then my business will not be at Thorpe anymoreTo my last point, a line I heard from a rides and attractions member this year:You cannot have the thrills without having the experience.Sebastian.

It all seriousness, I think that TPM has lowered it's standards a lot. I used to be able to come on here, have an intelligent discussion with intelligent people, with people like 9, but now, I ratehr go to ATA for a good discussion. This site could be so great, it's just the standards have lowered a bit.Sorry.

That's the only downside of V5, so many people on here posting crap, and when told not to by certain people, they still do. Sorry.

I really do apologise if I drift away from this forum, there are a lot of members on here that are annoying me. And my close friends on here know whom is pissing me off.Sorry.
