Hope marc goes ahead with an idea I just gave him, maybe those 2 words could also be added. Yea, can this actually start getting enforced now and also can put an end to people asking the same questions over and over in the saw topic.
  3. Yes we have known this since last year.
  4. Firstly do us all a favor and check your grammar.Secondly. Nobody knows, we're not psychic. Ok.Edit: Thankyou Mark

    What feature?
  7. At present ride attendants would not know what will be included within the ride unless they where part of the management team. Therefore I wouldn't take it with a pinch of salt.
  8. Excuse me, you think that people enjoy walking around for up to 12 hours during a day at a Theme Park without being able to sit down. Maybe this is because you are both little boys with plenty of energy to be running around all day but I know for a fact that if I was to take my family on a day out to a Theme Park we would most certainly like to be able to sit down somewhere nice for an hour or so to relax during the day. Thank god you two don't run theme parks. On Thorpe Parks defence, as Neil said, the park has limited space and there is the odd attempt to create an area of which you can go and sit down in every now and then. My best visits to the park in the past years have been where I have been able to get a good balance of rides and relaxing.
  9. Aggree with the fact that there is nowhere to simple relax and laze about, the glass house can be okay to relax in when not busy and Sunken Garden is really nice when Stealth is out of action. Apart from that, you are constantly surrounded with loud noises from rides (especially Colossus at the moment) and guests everywhere. Yes, it's to be expected at a Theme Park but unfortunately there is nowhere to just relax for five minutes, I do however understand that the limited space means that it's not possible to create this type of area.
  10. Look mate, I know I'm not an Admin but before Rich kills you. Please check your spelling and grammar in future posts, just take a look through what you have typed up and make sure you haven't made any small errors ye. It is a tad frustrating when you have to actually make effort to try and understand somebody's posts.
  11. The only case of which the park would not carry out the searches randomly was if a group of people where very loud upon entering the park or seemed abusive to other guests when entering and where therefore more likely to be carrying any offensive items. Apart from this, the searches are completely random.I don't understand the big deal you people are making on the searches being carried out, the park do it in the interest of YOUR safety yet you complain about it. I have been searched literally 100's of times by the police here and not once have I kicked up a fuss because I know that they are doing it for the safety of people my age in my area. The amount of offensive items the parks security turn up every day prooves how important and effective this system is to insure the safety of guests inside the park.

How comes I couldn't find I topic for this, sure there used to be one. Anyway, a good day so far today , we beat villa , Dann scored for coventry and reading losing 2-0 .I support Chelsea btw, was brought up around that area of battersea , go and watch when I can but it's too expensive and I hate people who support teams which are from nowhere near where they live .
  13. The park will not be open that week, so I doubt it very much.
  14. As far as I know Rob did work at Thorpe Park last season.
  15. Chessington - Press ReleaseCREDIT CRUNCH YET TO BITE Chessington & ZOO!It's not all doom and gloom in the job market! Whilst other companies are suffering from the effects of the credit crunch, Chessington & Zoo brings support to Surrey job seekers by announcing a recruitment drive for 600 full-time, part time, weekend and summer vacancies in readiness for the new season which starts on the 28th March 2009. And there are currently 6 permanent roles up for grabs, too! With a theme park, Zoo and SEA LIFE Centre on site, there are plenty of opportunities for people with very different talents - everyone from Hosts to Zookeepers - on a range of seasonal and permanent contracts. So whether you're looking for 40 hours a week or only a day or two to earn some extra cash, Chessington is looking for a wide range of roles for a huge range of people - real team players that can help create the perfect day out and really bring the fun to life!Newly appointed Divisional Director David Smith explains how people are being more cautious in their spending during the credit crunch. "More and more people are opting for a short break in the UK rather than going on a holiday abroad and we are looking forward to a busy 2009 season. And we need lots of great local people to help make it a season to remember."
  16. Last time when we all went to Nandos we where very lucky to get a large table up stairs, in future if there is to be a meet-up after at a restaurant it may be worth investing in booking a table (I'm sure it's not too much effort). Last years meet was really good and it seems like this years wasn't quite so great, hopefully another one can be organized some time soon and it will go alot smoothly (and I won't be too unwell to come).
  17. I can remember 2002 , Colossus opening day when I was 8 years old. My first go on Colossus with my mum & dad , good old times
  18. Glad to see everybody had fun , I am very unwell still today and felt awful yesterday and there was not a chance I would make it, sounds like the park didn't cope too well which is a shame to hear though. Will hopefully see some of you soon as I haven't met up with alot of you for a long time.
  19. Just today the complete opposite was in the pape about Chssington. They are employing 600 staff this year with expectations of it to be one of their busiest seasons in a long time, this is expected due to the amount of people who would plan to go abroad for a holiday but will instead be visiting somewhere more local such as Chessington.

Well done, glad to see Southern employing, reading in the paper today and SWT are cutting alot of jobs apprently.
  21. Your at school on a Saturday :|
  22. It is possible I may come for a bit, I don't see why not (funds depending). Am out on Friday night so could make my way to the park for around lunch time and do a few rides before meeting my girlfriend for the evening. Not much else to do during the day so ye, who knows.
  23. I would advise you to stick with a job locally, whilst working for Thorpe Park would be a great experience it would be allot of hassle for you to travel long distances to get to work. The fact you have to travel a long distance would also mean you are more likely to be late to work or may be un-able to get there due to problems with transport. With that said, I know many staff who travel much further distances to get to work via. public transport so it really is completely up to you, if you want to do it then go for it! (Remember though, you have to go for an Assessment first so it might be worth going before making any major decisions)
