I don't think people are ever going to agree on this but for me personally I don't see how rough can ever be a positive factor for a coaster, nor do I think it creates intensity. For instance, whatever the mine train is called at Magic Mountain happily beats up its passengers but I don't think many would call it intense. Then you have rides such as Batman and Tatsu at the same park which are smoother but also much more intense.

I too find Inferno boring because it is too smooth.

This image could be concept art. Not sure. Kinda annoyed if this is correct as it would have been great going into this not knowing anything. Spoilered for obvious reasons.

Ride time is great and all but a lot of that is rolling through blocks or being held on them. I have no idea how you've managed to avoid the jolt since you can see where rider's heads slam their restraints if you watch the drop. It's almost every car. I think the airtime hill is incredibly weak and even comparing it to Thorpe's other coasters, I would say Colossus and Stealth do a better job.

How do you have time to make all your kays

The snap into the helix and the last airtime hill are the best parts of Helix. The rapids are surprisingly good if a bit weird. The haunted house had really good sets but not very good actors. The S&S drop tower is way better than the S&S shot tower. The Peter Pan knock off is amazing.

I will forever be baffled why they didn't film the guy from the shop video for a pre-show in the indoor queue at the same time. Have the merge point before the video and make it short enough so that it doesn't affect throughput. Sorted.

I really don't understand why parks pick Intamin accelerators for launchers if they don't want a high speed one. Their restraints are rubbish at almost all transitions. At least get the padded restraints. The reason why Spiderman works so well is because it doesn't rely on the 3D screens, the external effects work really well and the pacing is spot on. For me, I think Potter is much weaker because the pacing is so haphazard. I'm not sure Merlin could get it right if Sub-Terra is an indication. Maybe if they got the team who designed The Sanctuary to help.

The concept art is beautifully depressing but its realisation would have probably been much weaker and too close to Saw. It is very dark as well. The station reminds me of a gas chamber...

Yeah it's bad he's using social media to go on a crusade when he should have gone to GS but at the same time I've seen staff being pretty terrible to kids and it's horrible to watch. I don't think people should be using this to throw even more abuse at him. Reminds me of the "oh he doesn't have the same opinion as me on a ride, guess it's because he just sucks".

Yeah, let's all laugh at a kid crying their way off a ride platform!

It's a great ride made better by it's nonsensical additions.

Those vertical millers are horrendous. Mickey's Fun Wheel at California Adventure and Vertigo at Tivoli are both crazy.

I think it's the most asinine 4D show I've seen but everyone else clapped at the end so what do I know. It's just one big advert for the different apps using the same effects over and over.
