It's not a bad album, it just not as good as the rest and the songs that they normally play live just don't work. If they played MK Ultra and Unnatural Selection instead of Resistance and Undisclosed Desires then I would have no complaints at all.

They played all of Origin of Symmetry (some of the songs hadn't been played for years) which is pretty different to Wembley and then did the hits. The set was 21 songs which is great for a festival. Next tour I would imagine be sometime next year. They are working on the new album from September. Hopefully this has shown what the crowd want with The Resistance songs getting the worst reception.

They did for Tim Minchin. Small one but still a damn moshpit.

Great bands at Reading Festival, too bad the crowd were complete idiots most of the time as expected. A circle of death during a soundcheck in the dance tent? Seems smart.
  6. Was a bit tiresome really when the GS people were throwing up the "We are learning from our mistakes" line on AP day this year when it wasn't exactly the first time Thorpe has had bad opening days. Terrible decision from management to get them to say that.
  7. I can guarantee that despite what Pixar said, Disney would have pushed a Cars sequel pretty hard because the toys sell so well.

That's a pretty naive view that probably has more to the way the labels work than the artists. Most of the smaller 'passionate' artists spread through word of mouth. Once they spread to the UK from America, they are probably going to be pretty big. Meanwhile, the labels just pick the most accessible songs so of course you are going to hear those more.Animal Collective, Vampire Weekend, Best Coast, Death Cab for Cutie, Foster the People, Grizzly Bear, Warpaint and LCD Soundsystem are examples off the top of my head.

  10. Well that's going to be a damn dramatic change to the view. If space wasn't so tight in the rest of the park, I would be slightly annoyed by it being right by Blue Fire but I understand its placement. Also, it's very close to the hotels (maybe even a new path from the looks of that photo?).
  11. Not really. The price rises used to be inflation+1% each year. Next year it's going to inflation+3%. Also, Scottish rail raises prices at the rate of inflation, the real cost doesn't actually rise.
  12. An average of 8% rise to train fares next year. Ouch.
  13. I feel a grass for Thorpe petition coming along, especially if Sunken Gardens are to be scrapped.
  14. Looking at that topic, a CF member pointed out that the GoMerlin picture was taken from the top of det (most likely). Oh fanboys..
  15. I suggest using this website if you want to help out. http://www.riotcleanup.com/Interesting twist. - MSNBC.com’s World BlogToo bad the message was lost when shops were looted.
  16. Because it's not like Alton is getting a coaster 3 years after 13.Personally, I would rather have bigger installments but less often. Sadly that's not the most cost effective it seems for Merlin.EDIT: maybe we need a sarcasm detector..
  17. Remember the first Saw teasers? Nothing to do with Saw.
  18. Starcraft 2 I can garantee will have nothing to do with this. I just posted that image because swarm aliens in recent movies have been damn similar to the Starcraft race, Zerg.Filmwise, I am not sure how well that will go down if the park has IPs from different companies in the same park
  19. This swarm?Or this swarm?Hard choice.
  20. Bring on the chainlink fence queues! Yes! I was getting bored of gritty war games and movies. Guess it needs to spread to rides as well.
  21. I was going to say that but it's a bit nitpicky. Paramount probably only had the movie rights and the movies would I guess be a bigger draw to Joe Bloggs than the video games.
  22. Ah I always forget about the Paramount parks. Weren't there 2 different Raider top spins as well?
  23. World's first video game themed rollercoaster... Someone will now call me out on this fact.
